Hi All
Apologies for asking this again, I searched the group and there's massive mixed opinions on which is better between IM and SubQ and looks like it depends on the person. I have recently switched from cream which didn't work to Cypionate 150mg per week, I'm trying EOD which is about 43mg per pin. Will put some of my latest labs below.
Does IM really make you feel better than SubQ, and is the side effect risk worth being cautious about? I'm reading higher peaks from IM which makes people feel better but it also increases hematocrit a lot more than SubQ. Also reading IM is better for those with higher SHBG so I'm really confused which route to go with.
What is best while still being safe long term?
Labs on cream
Total testosterone: 7.0 nmol/L = 202 ng/dL
Free testosterone (calculated): 96.3 pmol/L = 27.7 pg/mL
SHBG: 54 nmol/L
Hematocrit 43% (before cream)

Was curious to see if anyone knows why sustanon 250 feels like you got a Charley horse. Did it for 6 years back in the day and every shit felt like a Charley horse for at least 3 days after. Anyone know why? I don’t get it when using enanthate.
r/Testosterone • u/365_Run_247 • 2h ago
I recently increased my testosterone enanthate dose from 120mg/week to 140mg/week. I split the weekly dose into an injection every 3.5 days (Monday morning and Thursday night).
Yesterday morning, was the first day, I increased the dose to 70mg from 60mg. Yesterday night, I felt very activated and wired and wasn’t unable to sleep all night despite taking 2mg of Melatonin and trying to meditate.
Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced a similar insomnia reaction after increasing their testosterone dose?
If so, is the insomnia just a temporary phenomenon as one’s body adjusts to the hire dose?
Finally, has anyone found any supplements or products (besides melatonin) that have helped them relax and sleep after being activated?
Thanks

Hi all, first post on here looking for advice. Currently on 250mg Test C, 4IU of HGH and BPC157. Have noticed carpal tunnel pain is getting unbearable at night and impacts my sleep. Reading into it and apparently it’s a side of HGH?
Anyone experienced this?
GP advised me to reduce weights on gym and sleep with wrist braces.
Thanks

I’m 53 and in good shape. 6’4 190, eat clean lift heavy etc…
About to start TRT but worried about muscles getting stronger but joints, tendons, etc..struggling to keep up.
It seems like a bad recipe to increase muscle mass while other parts of your body are aging.
Any thoughts on this?

Hello everyone
Im 186/187cm , 68kg and have a bf percentage of 15%.
I am working out now for 3 years and i also did 2.5 years of martial arts before going to the gym. I stopped with boxing because i wanted to gain weight and muscles and gained 26kg of weight but the last few months i made very little progress and im still not happy with my phsyice , i will make a blood test soon and want to hop on testosterone E for the first time.
250mg (5x 50mg per week)
How do i prevent my E2 from crashing?
What type of Syringes/needles should i use? I thought abt 25-28mm Insulin (one time usage) for glutes and leg Injection.
I talked with my coach also about Primo , should i use primo instantly with test or wait 6 weeks after getting abother blood work test?
IMPORTANT —
I want to hop on clearly bcs of aesthetics , im not interested in competetive body building or and i dont care abt sum "you can do this and this natural" , i just want to go beyond my limits more and speed up the process after learning how to proberly eat , sleep, etc.

23m - I have been experimenting with HCG monotherapy to achieve higher levels of testosterone without hopping on exogenous testosterone. Currently running 500iu 4x a week. Baseline was around 5-600ng/dl - results are as follows:
Total testosterone: 986 ng/dL
Free testosterone: 234 pg/mL (23.4 ng/dL)
Estradiol (E2): 52.3 pg/mL
SHBG: 29.1 nmol/L
LH: 0.3 mIU/mL
FSH: 0.3 mIU/mL
Prolactin: 10.4 ng/mL
Free androgen index: 117.5%
Albumin: 4.8 g/dL
Thyroid:
TSH: 2.66 µIU/mL
Free T4: 1.35 ng/dL
I have heard that there isn’t an incredibly harsh crash coming off - more of a noticeable drop as LH and FSH signalling return within a month, hope this remains to be true. 4 weeks into the protocol, will continue for another 8-12 weeks.
Mentally and physically feeling better, especially in the gym, with some mild worsening of pre existing OCD symptoms recently but not sure if this is attributable to the experiment or not.
Overall, happy with the results.

Hey everyone,
Looking for some advice from people who have been on TRT longer than I have.
I’m a 37-year-old male and started TRT about 9 weeks ago. My doctor prescribed 150mg of testosterone cypionate per week, split into three injections:
Monday: 50mg
Wednesday: 50mg
Friday: 50mg
Just had my bloodwork done after 9 weeks, and here are my results:
Bloodwork:
Total Testosterone: 1280 ng/dL
Free Testosterone: 313.3 pg/mL
Estradiol (E2): 68 pg/mL
My stats:
Age: 37
Height: 6’1”
Weight: 245 lbs
Body Fat: Approximately 25%
Weightlifting: 5 days per week
Currently focused on losing body fat while building/maintaining muscle
For some background, I used to weigh 345 lbs, so I’ve already lost 100 lbs. I’m continuing to work on lowering my body fat percentage while maintaining as much muscle as possible.
My testosterone before starting treatment was around 267 ng/dL.
My questions:
Does 150mg per week seem too high based on these bloodwork results?
With my total testosterone at 1280 and free testosterone at 313, would you consider lowering the dose?
Is an estradiol level of 68 concerning, or is that expected with testosterone levels this high?
Has anyone experienced similar numbers and found a better balance with a lower weekly dose?
Could lowering my body fat percentage help bring my estradiol down naturally?
I’m not trying to chase the highest testosterone numbers possible. My goal is to find a sustainable TRT dose that improves my overall health, energy, body composition, and quality of life without unnecessarily elevating other hormones.
I plan on discussing everything with my doctor, but I’d like to hear from others who have been through something similar.
Appreciate any feedback!

I feel as if my glucose and eAG are slightly scary, liver values are going to need to be checked again,
My diet is very strict whole foods with 150g protein, around 40-60 fats from fatty fish, avacado and lots of olive oil, rest carbs from fruit, veg, rice. which would explain the lipids.
not sure why my serum protein is on the lower end and my calcium is creeping down.

I'm based in Sweden, and I'm considering having products shipped to me by an overseas company. They already use triangular shipping, but I'm unsure how reliable it actually is or whether it offers any legal protection to the recipient. Products contain both liquid and pils.
My main concern is having my personal name and home address connected to a shipment if the contents turn out to be illegal or incorrectly declared.
Would really appreciate any help!

I started TRT for legit low T about 6 months back (free T 36 on 46-224 range). I’m on 140 mg/wk. this puts total at about 1,500, free at 151 (46-224) and bioavailable at 312 (110-575). My SHBG is super elevated, between 75 and 90 the last several times it’s been checked. That’s why the free is so low relative to Total.
Anyhow I’m trying to achieve 2 things -
I’ve fallen in and out of shape several times over the years and know what my un-enhanced ceiling is. I’m about there right now in terms of strength. I’m 6ft 183 and ~14% bf and am trying to get down to 10% before starting a bulk. It’s getting hard to drop weight without losing too much muscle. I was 210 lbs in January.
What I am planning is to increase my test to 300 and start Anavar 20 mg a day for 8 weeks. The test cycle would be longer, about 16 weeks, the first 8 of which would also have Anavar. I’d plan to cut for the first 4-8 weeks or so once I get as close as possible to 10% bf, then up the calories to 300-500 over TDEE for the remainder.
Appreciate thoughts and advice from folks on this approach. All of my kidney and liver functions are normal. HDL is about mid, I know it will crash but I’m fine with a few months of that as it’ll recover.
Does this timing make sense? With how high my SHBG is if I just did anavar the SHBG should drop and my free would probably shoot up to 200+ fairly quickly(1-2 weeks). Then on a slower timeline the higher test dose would continue to raise the free T another 100-200 (ish- guessing) over 4-6 weeks. I am somewhat trying to avoid both of these ‘kicking in’ simultaneously and am curious if starting both at the same time would not cause that since Anavar is pretty immediate whilst the test would take many weeks to saturate.
I have an AI on hand and am aware to watch for e2 shooting through the roof. Im not someone who’s been doing this for years so I’m trying to get advice from those more experienced before I actually do anything. Not something I can go to my TRT provider with.
Thanks in advance and if any of this sounds like a terrible idea - that’s exactly why I’m asking here FI hi RST.

I'm a 42-year-old male, 6’2”(187.96 cm), currently around 241 lbs (109kg). Body fat approx. 28-29%. Actively working out 4-5 days a week cardio/lifting heavy and trying to cut another 30lbs and recomp (taking tirz).
I’ve had multiple morning testosterone tests ranging from 310–417 ng/dL, with my most recent labs showing total T of 368 and free T of 48 pg/mL.
My biggest issues are severely reduced libido, rarely having morning erections, fatigue, reduced motivation, mood changes, and brain fog. I have Hashimoto’s/hypothyroidism that’s treated, sleep apnea controlled with religious CPAP use.
I spoke to a clinic they want to start me on 150mg Test C a week split into three 50mg injections Mon, Weds, Fri. Is this reasonable?
I’m considering TRT because these symptoms are affecting my quality of life, despite trying to address the other contributing factors. I’m interested in hearing from guys who had similar numbers and symptoms. Did TRT make a meaningful difference in your libido, energy, mood, and overall quality of life? Anything you wish you’d known before starting?

Good afternoon everyone, just after a little advise, currently running 400mg test e weekly and 400mg mast p and 200mg npp weekly spread out eod, my hair is shedding and from what I’m aware if I’m correct is a dht blocker like fin will make make shedding worse whilst on npp, my question is does that include blockers like ru58841 which is only in contact with the head and if anyone has any ideas on how to stop shedding whilst on a cycle like this, I feel great and bloodwork is great so if I can just stop or slow the shedding will be great
Thanks in advance

Told my doctor about 4 yrs ago I felt off. I couldn’t really explain it but I had no libido, no motivation and felt flat. He suggested SSRI of course. Did my blood work and all was fine but he casually mentioned to me my estrogen is low but said I didnt need much and to eat more soy. I didn’t think much of it but recently it was nagging in me bc here I am years later and still feeling like shit.
Like most people story I told him I wanted to try TRT but bc my test was 325 I was in range and he suggested another SSRI. At this point I was able to get my lab results back before my doc saw them and I realized my estrodial wasn’t low it was on the floor. Undetectable by standard tests and the lab system where I at doesn’t offer the sensitive. So I said fuck it that can’t be good for me. I did a few cycles in my 30s so I know what high and low estrodial can do for you and I went around my doc to the private sector. The new doctor flagged the estrogen right away and we got on a protocol.
He’s being fairly conservative which I appreciate but it’s been 9 months now and we’ve gone from 70mg per week > 80 > 120 mg per week and my test levels are barely over where I started and my estrodial is still on the floor.
Has anyone been in the same boat and if so how did you get them up?

I split a total of 100mg of clomid over a week and have now stopped. I'm wondering if anyone knows approximately how long clomid remains in the system after the last dose.
More importantly, how long does clomid continue to affect or suppress LH and FSH after the last dose?
I'm particularly interested in how long it might take for LH and FSH to reflect my body's own levels.

Considering stopping after 2+ years.
I’m 49 and have been on TRT since July 2024. I started primarily because of low energy and mood. My natural testosterone was typically around 340–450 ng/dL.
TRT definitely helped, particularly when my testosterone was around 800 ng/dL.
Unfortunately, I’ve repeatedly struggled with elevated hemoglobin and hematocrit, and I’m trying to figure out whether there’s a sustainable solution or if I’m simply someone who doesn’t tolerate TRT well.
My TRT history:
Started around 100 mg/week, split into two IM injections.
Later switched to SubQ, eventually dosing three times weekly.
Most recently taking 105 mg/week (35 mg three times weekly).
My latest total testosterone was only 579 ng/dL, yet my hematocrit was 55.3% and hemoglobin was 19.3 g/dL.
Some historical labs:
Lab history (Hct / Hgb / Total T / E2 / Ferritin):
Jul 2024: 48.4% / 16.6 / — / — / —
Sep 2024: 54.5% / 18.5 / — / — / —
Nov 2024: 52.3% / 18.0 / 784 / 44.2 / —
Dec 2024: 49.3% / 17.0 / — / — / —
Feb 2025: 52.1% / 18.0 / — / — / —
Mar 2025: 49.4% / 16.8 / — / — / —
Jul 2025: 44.3% / 14.8 / — / — / —
Dec 2025: 43.2% / 13.6 / — / — / —
Jun 2026: 55.0% / 19.1 / 785 / — / 43
Oct 2026: 55.3% / 19.3 / 579 / 42.9 / 53
Units: Hgb = g/dL, testosterone = ng/dL, E2 = pg/mL, ferritin = ng/mL.
Recent blood donations: June 8, August 10, and October 2026.
Iron supplementation: Approximately 65 mg elemental iron daily from June through August, followed by intermittent half-tablet doses through October.
I’ve donated blood periodically, including June, August, and October 2026. My hematocrit has come down substantially at various points, so it hasn’t been consistently elevated throughout treatment. I went quite a long time without donating before June’s high reading. (Doc’s advice since I crashed ferritin)
One possible complicating factor: after my June donation, I took ferrous sulfate 325 mg daily for roughly two months, then approximately half a tablet intermittently until October.
My ferritin increased from 43 to 53 despite donating. I’m wondering whether iron supplementation contributed to rebuilding my hemoglobin quickly while testosterone continued stimulating red blood cell production.
Where I’m at now:
My doctor has agreed to help me discontinue TRT. I’m planning to see how I feel without TRT and whether my natural production recovers.
My estradiol has ranged from approximately 31–44 pg/mL, with my latest E2 at 42.9 and total testosterone at 579. My doctor has prescribed Clomid and anastrozole as part of my transition off TRT.
However, I’m disappointed because TRT genuinely helped my mood and energy, especially when my testosterone was around 800. At my current level of 579, which isn’t dramatically higher than my natural baseline, I’m questioning whether the benefits justify the ongoing blood-count problems.
I’m interested in hearing from people who’ve experienced something similar:
Has anyone repeatedly reached hematocrit of 54–56% but eventually found a sustainable TRT protocol?
Did switching from injections to gel or another delivery method make a meaningful difference?
Has anyone maintained testosterone around 800–900 ng/dL without recurrent erythrocytosis after previously struggling with it?
For those who relied on blood donations, how often did you need them?
Did you eventually develop iron deficiency?
Has anyone stopped TRT after 2+ years and successfully recovered their natural testosterone production, with or without Clomid?
I’m not looking to ignore elevated hematocrit or push testosterone levels at the expense of my health. I’m just trying to understand whether there are other reasonable approaches worth exploring with a knowledgeable physician, or whether discontinuing TRT is ultimately the better option for someone with my response.
I’d especially appreciate experiences from people who’ve dealt with this over several years, rather than just general advice to donate more often.

Currently taking 500mg weekly in 2 pins
And 20mg of accutane
To preface, i did a light trt dose earlier this year, but now I'm about 6 weeks into a 500mg test enanthate cycle, two subcataneous pins a week , usually Wednesday and Sunday.
For the past few weeks, I've mainly been cutting down to low bf, and now I want to lean gain muscle. I do feel different, but no mood swings or anger, maybe because of my low body fat, which could also explain lower libido. Worst case it could be that I have high E conversion, I have an aromatase inhibitor on hand but haven't used it yet.
So, I really just want to know what tips and advice you guys who have been on 500mg have to maximise the mass increase i can get and also if i should take the aromatase inhibitors also any suplements that helped with overall health while on cycle , ill probably cycle off in another 6-8 weeks which I'm hoping is enough to pack on some more mass during the lean gain any advice is appreciated .

I’m in the midst of trying to be as healthy as I reasonably can. Good sleep, diet, and training. My total test was sub 400 both times tested, before doing this.
I was going to do 12 weeks. Retest. And then consider the lifelong fix. Wondering if this is a good timeframe or what your experience was.
