i only remember a single scene, but i remember enjoying the film.
i think i saw it within the last 5/10 years or so.
it was in english.
i think it was set in modern day, but the more i try to drill down into the memory, the more i doubt myself here.
the scene in question is a priest, who's in a prison, possibly to give the last rites to someone, being hoisted into the air by his own crucifix, it either strangles him or is pulled tight enough to pop his head off.
i'm also remembering that this was done to prove the demonic forces to someone who was there as well, but skeptical.
i think the demon was posessing a prisoner on death row, but i can't be sure of that.
i can't remember anything else, but for a while i was sure it was nefarious, which i now know it wasnt.
Edited to say, I'm sure it was made within the last 10 years and, now that I think, it may not have been a priest, just an extremely religious person (though that I can't be sure, as I'm sure they were there to deliver last rites before execution)
edited to say - it's definitely not nefarious, which was more of a "is the demon real or not"
definitely not late night with the devil.
i'm also sure it didn't have any "big name" actors in, so i don't think it was the rite with anthony hopkins, definitely not any of the conjuring films, or insidious, or the like.
i'm sure it was a one off (not part of a series)
levitating the priest by his own crucifix was seen as some kind of poetic irony, his faith couldn't save him kind of thing.
there was definitely a skeptical person with the priest at the time, which is why the demon did this.
the corridor was quite high, like a 2 story row of cells. it needed to be because the priest goes quite high up in the air. so more of a cell block area than a connecting corridor, if that makes sense.
the more i think on it, the more i wonder whether it could've been part of a series, rather than a film, but the only series that comes kind of close is "Evil" which i'm pretty sure i saw this before it came out.
of course, i could've dreamt it, but i'm sure it was a real film! lol.
