Recently I was at the library and i had got my lunch. I forgot to get my spoon so i asked for a spoon from the cafeteria in the library.
I was asked to buy something from the cafeteria or pay for the spoon as its chargeable? I was surprised and i just left.

I assumed spoons or any cutleries are free assuming they are made of plastic

Is this something that happens quite often?

If anyone here plays the saxophone or knows someone who does, please hmu. I am dire need of a saxophone player.

Hey everyone! I'm a guy in my 20s and in my third year studying humanities at uni in Aberdeen. I’ve been pretty caught up with uni work and spent a lot of my first couple of years keeping to myself, but I’d like to get out a bit more and meet some new people!

Would be nice to find people to grab a coffee with, browse charity shops, explore some of Aberdeen’s more unusual spots, or just have a wander and see what the city has to offer.

I’m curious, are there any other people in Aberdeen who haven’t quite found their friendship group yet? How are you finding life in the Granite City? Any advice on meeting people or making the most of uni life would be appreciated!

Hi everyone! I’m an international student planning to study for a master’s at the University of Aberdeen, but I’m currently confused between MSc Data Science and MSc Artificial Intelligence.
For anyone who has studied either of these courses, which one is the course structure and workload like? I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience and whether you feel the course is useful for building a career after graduation.
I’d also like to know more about student life in Aberdeen. Are there many things happening in the city for students, or is it generally quiet? How easy is it to find part-time work as an international student, and how good is the public transport?
If you’re currently studying at Aberdeen, I’d really appreciate any honest advice about the university, the city, these two courses, and things you wish you had known before choosing.

I just moved to Aberdeen for my MSc after my undergrad in Edinburgh, and I don’t really know how to make friends as basically everyone else, especially those at my accommodation, are freshers or 2-3 years younger than me. Hi, how is the health data science (distance learning) program at Aberdeen? Is it a good choice considering you won’t be on campus. Also, if you had to choose between uni of Exeter and Uni of Aberdeen, which one would you choose and why?

i’m a readmission student and i’m about to start 2nd year, i’ve not joined a society before and i wondered what your experiences are of societies in abs? have they helped you make friends, make more of being at uni etc etc

Hi! Maybe a stupid question but recently looked at my timetable for my first year of uni and i have some classes that start right after eachother (for example. Class ends at 1pm, when the next class starts at 1pm)

Am i overthinking this or is it a valid concern? Is there a grace period for when to get to each class or is it fine? Thanks!
