So my boyfriend of 2 years just broke up with me earlier last week and me and my best friend have been cleaning out my depression room lol and I have like 4 bags of just garbage and I was curious on if there are any public places that let people dump trash for free in Yakima. Cause like I don’t wanna get in trouble or anything

So I've been following the race for the 4th Congressional district for a while. Yakima County Commissioner and Republican candidate Amanda McKinney finally hosted her first town hall in my town this week and I knew I had to go. It quickly became apparent why she doesn't like meeting with voters who don't already share her views. When she brought up her statistic about a Yakima hospital treating 5000+ illegal immigrants in one year I was able to counter her claims since I watched her say the same thing (albeitly more passionately) at the TPUSA AmFest back in December.

Like so many others in this country, I'm just so tired of hearing everything being blamed on immigrants while ignoring the crimes and corruption coming out of the White House. I'm tired of seeing ICE breaking the law, detaining citizens, and hearing the horror stories coming out of privately run ICE detention centers.

The Democrat in the race, John Duresky, and Amanda McKinney held a debate this week which you can watch here and decide for yourself who is the better candidate to represent us in Congress. I know it will be difficult to overcome the party advantage Republicans have in this district but we need to encourage EVERYONE we know who is eligible to vote to make a plan and cast their ballot. (Statewide turnout was only 36% in the August primary election.) Show them the debate. Which candidate is offering solutions, and which one is creating division and scapegoating?

(You can read the whole story that came out of her town hall and watch additional clips from local journalist Dominick Bonny's reporting on the event here.)

We are visiting a friend in Yakima today his weekend. Wanted to bring home some apples but Fruit City was closed today. Where can we go on Monday morning to buy apples?

No threats made......

Last night, Yakima Police were called to a large party of groups of young people that were pulling guns on one another. Gang members just doing what gang members do. It apparently is in an AirBnB rental on Scenic Drive, that has had previous nuisance issues. Any thoughts?

My neutral nonviolent non-threatening not a post that would engage in a riot or racism I'mbanned from the plane because a moderator made a really sad post and then blocked me....

Kind of sad that they want freedom of speech and freedom of Rights but they limit those with a actual mind that can think with common sense.......

I wonder if the moderator is afraid to go to another country and see what happens if they tried the same thing.

Act entitled

Ask for free money free food Free housing free insurance free medical and you're not allowed to cry if you go to jail or get kicked out....

I got flagged for being a violent human being for saying that mildly

Nothing on affordability, heathcare, ending Trade and iran war which are fueling bad economy and rising costs.

Not from the area, but snagged this from ebay a few dyas ago for my CD collection! I plan to map down all the locations overtime and scan the pages for everyone's viewing pleasure!

Hey Yakima this wasn’t overly advertised so I thought I would bring it to you. Here is a link to tonight’s debate between John Duresky and Amanda McKinney. Listen to what they have to say and go out and vote. This election matters to our home. Let’s all do our part.

I'm not sure if Yakima Valley Arts Association is still around, but if they are I'd love to collaborate with them.

Some of the ideas I have for the group:

- sit-ins to protest any sort of pro-ai/data center policies or to support anti-AI/data center legislation.

- No-AI art markets with education on how to spot potential AI products. (Been seeing a scary amount of AI products at markets these days).

- Supporting/teaching arts and crafts skills.

- Collecting old but usable art/craft supplies for people to buy or borrow.

Also to clarify what I mean by arts/crafts is literally anything that requires creative skills to make. Leather work, knitting, weaving, carpentry, painting, ceramics, sewing, sculpting, blacksmithing, you name it.

This would take a lot of time and people, but heck I'm about to be unemployed and will have all the time in the world. I already have tons of supplies like yarn, paint, fabric, beads, thread, sewing machine, knitting needles, crochet hooks, felt squares, paper, embroidery needles, etc.

Any other ideas or organizations I should reach out to please comment below!
