RANT - advice welcome Back pain problems. Spoiler

30G acc to the abtf calc. But I'm wearing 32F right now, i don't completely fill the cup though, idk what my correct size is atp.

After college, my back screams with pain. My college doesn't have good benches to support the upper back, I'm a CS student so I mostly spend my time in front of a screen with a bad posture. My posture might also be the reason for back pain. I'm so done with it.

To go to a gym I need a sports bra, hard to find the exact one which helps me. I have to import it from other countries, the cost jumps insanely. And even after getting it, returning it might be harder.

I'm living on a student budget which is less than the bra prices mentioned on some websites, God knows how I'll manage gym membership and sports bra for my size.

One of my friend told me I have a muscular spasm on my upper back. I need to go to a physiotherapist to confirm it and treat it. Ain't got the money for that. Parents are not very supportive.

God hates me.

RANT - advice welcome Big boobs make me sad Spoiler

Having big boobs has genuinely been making me extremely self conscious. I mean anytime I’m at work and I have to get up and walk around, I keep my arms crossed to cover how big they are. I have what ppl call a “P shaped body” or “AirPod build” and it just rlly makes me sad. Even my close gal friends always mention how big my boobs are, I know they don’t mean any harm in saying it and neither do they know that it’s an insecurity of mine, but when they mention it the idea of how big they are just gets reinforced in me. I just wish i AT LEAST had wider hips to balance out how wide the top of my body looks, but no, I also have rlly narrow hips too. I really wish I didn’t care about this cause it’s considered “superficial” but it’s hard when people perceive you based on how you look and it’s the first thing you notice when you look in a mirror sighhhhhhh

positive & funny Clothing my boobs laugh at Spoiler

I found refashionedhippie on Instagram, although I'm sure she's on other socials as well. Maggie is her name. She is my kind of humor! In addition to various "Bad Design" and other digs as crazy pricing from luxury brands, she will once in a while will make a short video called "Clothing my boobs laugh at!" Because she's one of us, she will find some ridiculous top that someone in our tribe could never wear. She plays into her top heavy persona and has fun with it, which I find refreshing. I like her snark, the dry humor... if you have not found her, you might enjoy it.

clothes Boobs made me give up cardigans, now I'm too cold for dresses Spoiler

Potentially more of a ‘me and my taste’ issue than a big boob issue, but this sub is excellent so giving it a shot:

I haven’t worn a cardigan since my boobs got big enough to have their own gravitational field, because unbuttoned cardigans never seem to make it past covering my back and the first 1/8th of the side of my boobs. As an unintended consequence I barely wear dresses anymore, because I can’t for the life of me think of something to layer over a dress. But given that ‘above 15°C’ is basically an urban legend for most of the year where I live, I really need a layering solution that works with a dress.

Any ideas?

need advice Breast Reduction Spoiler

I finally had a breast reduction consult today.

Currently between a 36F and 40C depending on bra brands. Surgeon thinks he will likely need to take 650g from each breast in order for insurance to consider covering, estimating I'll be a "mid-B" after the procedure.

I can't visualize this at all, has anyone experienced going down this much? The lowest I've ever been is a 34C and that was middle school.

RANT - advice welcome I keep getting dress coded for my chest size Spoiler

I keep getting dress-coded at school for nothing other than my chest size. I am so aggravated because I dress pretty traditionally modestly too. I wear business-casual type clothes to school, such as heels, boots, dress pants, jeans, blouses, etc. I will link the specific shirt that has caused the most issue below. I paired it with a pair of cream-colored dress pants with brown polka dots, a brown belt, and brown ankle boots. This is my favorite outfit that I have worn many times this year and have gotten so many compliments from teachers and students. I specifically want to highlight that four different female teachers told me that I looked cute, and they liked my outfit.

The first time I was dress-coded, the principal called me out in the middle of the cafeteria and said that I would need to change because my shirt was too tight. I am normally very passive and shy and do not like to cause a fuss, but this in particular bothered me quite a lot, so I started pointing at other girls in the cafeteria who were wearing fitted shirts because literally like 75% of girls wear fitted shirts or even skin-tight Lululemon shirts and Skims bodysuits, and I asked how my shirt was any different. She asked me to take a walk with her outside, so I did, and she told me she was "surprised by my behavior" because I am "a good student" and she "has known me for a long time, and this was out of character for me." I kept pressing until she would tell me what was wrong with my shirt, and I was given an incredibly upsetting and patronizing explanation. She told me that "everyone has different body types, and I need to be aware of mine because certain clothes may be fine on other MORE PETITE body types but not on mine." I was very upset by this, but made sure I didn't cry in front of her or raise my voice or do anything to invalidate what I was trying to get across. I said that I just didn't think it was fair that she treats my body differently, but she was not having it. She told me that the bottom line was that I had to be "aware of my body type and chest size and the clothes I wear that bring attention to certain things." I was very aggravated at this point, but she clearly did not understand why saying stuff like this would upset me, nor was she going to change her mind, so I let it go and went back to the cafeteria and immediately started crying. I'm short and relatively curvy, but I'm not overweight or anything. A lot of girls are smaller than me at my school, but many of them are unhealthy. The principal is a slender, average-height woman whom I cannot see having any empathy for the struggles of other body types.

I wore this outfit to meet my boyfriend's parents, in front of my grandma, and to a church, and it was never problematic. My mom likes it too. All of the smaller and flat-chested girls at my school wear whatever they want and never get in trouble. They wear very low necklines and tube tops and tank tops, none of which are allowed, but I can't even wear a fitted boat-neck top, which is allowed. One of the most annoying things is that I wore this shirt at least once or twice a week a few years prior when I had C cups, but now that I have gained some healthy weight suddenly, it's not okay?

The principal emailed my mom to let her know about my "aggressive" behavior and inappropriate shirt. My mom knows I don't cause trouble, so she doesn't believe I was being aggressive, but she told me that she knows "I have a strong sense of justice, but I have to follow the rules." Okay, sure, that's fine. I'll follow the rules even if they're stupid, but they have to apply to everyone. She also apparently told my mom that part of the problem was my shirt being too thin and see-through, but she never mentioned that to me, and my shirt is not see-through. You can see the outline of my bra straps and the top of the cups, which may have been what she was referring to, but you can see that in almost any shirt, including her own.

The most recent time I was dress coded was for the same outfit. I wear darker-colored fitted shirts and so far have not gotten in trouble for those. I bought a new shirt in the same cream color that is double-lined. I know for a fact it is not see-through, even though it's still fitted, but it has some baggier rouching at the waist, so it is definitely not skin-tight. The principal wouldn't even tell me herself this time. I was called down to the office, and a woman who works in the office handed me a new shirt with no other comments. I had to put on a green, too-small, lost-and-found T-shirt from some church camp that I did not really want to be advertising. Also, I'm pretty sure she just saw the color of my shirt and assumed it was the same one from last time even though it's not.

I'm just so fed up with all of this, and it really makes me even more insecure about my boobs.

experience Forty seconds of a room explaining why the size chart lies Spoiler

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Forty seconds, no commentary. Both lines are pasted from threads here, word for word.

First: nobody was taught this. Not at home, not in a shop. You get handed a bra that is "probably your size" and that is that.

Then, later in the same file, the thing that would have saved her a decade. Plus four, and why 34A and 32D can be the same volume on two different bodies.

Volume up. It is quiet on purpose.

bras Sensory-friendly options? Spoiler

I'm going to preface this by saying "yes, I have used the ABTF calculator and I am 100% sure my size is correct".

Actual problem at hand is that I have pretty intense sensory issues around itchy clothes: I wouldn't wear jeans at all when I was little, if I can feel the neck or back tag in clothes I will cut or seam-rip it straight off (or else it becomes unbearable), I will not wear hoods and am very hesitant to wear hats (hair gets itchy).

Bras cause a lot of problems, because I am very sensitive right under the boobs (where underwire or at least seams tend to lie), and the hardware on the straps can also itch a bit.

I ordered the original bra from Molke a while back, which people said was sensory friendly. It was hell. Stiff seams on the underboob, random fabric edge chafing against the left boob constantly. I just received a flexi-size bra in the mail today (I did an exchange, as advised by the ppl working there) and I can only tolerate it if I put a thin tank top underneath (that £2.50 tank top is a LIFE. SAVER.)

Are there any better options for sensory problems?

need advice What time is it best to shop for bras? Spoiler

I’ve lost some weight and now I’m desperate to buy bras (30H) but not only they are so expensive but I’m such a cheapskate it has to be on clearance. Do you guys know when any websites are doing sales? (I know Black Friday but I swear it’s not an actual deal now a days). I’m not particular on brand but I gravitate towards cute Lacey Demi cup side support bras the most. Thank you all for your support and help .

clothes Non-boxy jumpers- recommendations? Spoiler

Does anyone have any style or brand recommendations (UK) for jumpers, that are thick but don't look completely boxy or tenty?

Trying to dress more stylishly and look more put-together but everything just makes me look like a tent!

Anyone else got a stash of old faithfuls where the underwire escaped? Yeah, me too. I'm about to go away for three weeks so I'm just doing some repairs to ensure I'm good even if my luggage goes walkabout (always pack bras in carry on) or I can't do laundry.

experience Weight loss and increased pain Spoiler

Am I crazy? I feel like I must be crazy.
From my understanding, women typically experience and enjoy DECREASED pain in the neck and back after weight loss.

In the past ten months, I’ve lost 47 lbs. yay! However, my breasts have stayed about the same size. It feels like the more weight I shed, the more pain I experience. My neck has always hated carrying the weight of my tatas. Over the past ten months, I’ve had increasing pain in my upper and mid back, neck, shoulders and traps. I’m pretty sure my bras are causing some new nerve kinking too, causing some awesoooome soreness and tingling.

Am I becoming some sort of hypochondriac or has anyone else experienced this?

RANT - advice welcome love hate acceptance Spoiler

I think I was living in denial for a long time bc I wanted to fit in. Wearing layered sports bras and baggy tees to appear more “normal” ig..

Since coming to somethings I’ve realized that I do that alot of my friends can’t
- I like that I can use them as a purse
-I really like when I wear small tops to go to out ppl don’t look me in my eyes (shy+going to girls catholic school+SA’d by my first crush = me so uncomfortable around guys😛)
- also realizing how bad I looked sizing up my track jerseys and layering bras looked
- Also my friends are often able to wear each other clothes if it’s decided to go out or swimming last minute and I just don’t fit in them the way they do but they think it’s the opposite of a problem but I’m just so uncomfortable that I go home - Ik it’s not a big deal and they’re my friends but there more promiscuous then me and their jokes can reflect that than so sometimes I get uncomfortable w their comments even though I know they don’t mean to offend

Overall experience as an 34F and 21 y/o 6.5/10⭐️
I know I’m on the smaller end of u guys so maybe this isn’t my place but I truly don’t mean to offend or malicious intent

bras Why would a bra like this not be feasible for us? Spoiler

Post image
24 Upvotes

I was looking into backless bras and found some like these. But even ones advertised for “bustier” women mostly only go up to a D. D cup is not big or busty!! It is a 4 inch volume difference!! It’s only big if your band size is already big!! I feel like if there was enough boning support and a good underwire(probably a little more higher up in the cleavage so my boobs don’t fall out), as well as just good material and obviously fuller cup(that has a little more material on the bottom), a bra like this would work no? Am I missing something 😔? I am not the best at visualizing things and how it would work in my head tbh. I’m genuinely thinking about attempting to make my own bra with my v basic knowledge of sewing just to see why this wouldn’t work because I am 36J(36GG) and I want to be able to wear bras that aren’t always full coverage 😭.

positive & funny What is the weirdest thing you've found in your bra after a long day? Spoiler

I just got back from working an 18 hour shift in a crawlspace, drilling through beams and running pipe and electrical. I just got home and took my clothes off to find ALOT of sawdust, a couple wire connectors, 2 screws, and the earplug i had on earlier before i lost it.

Some of it made me giggle. Theyre usually catching crumbs.

what is the most bizarre, or random stowaway you've ever had to unpack at the end of a long day?
