General Question Where can I find a thesis/practicum group? (BS Marketing)

Hi everyone! I’m a Marketing student looking for a thesis/practicum group. I don’t have many friends on campus, which is why I’m asking here if anyone knows where I can connect with groups or students who are still looking for members for Term 2 Practicum?

A bit about me:
- Strong Research experience with published paper
- Experience in Graphic Design and Event Planning
- Early/Punctual with group deadlines

If you’re forming a group, know people who need another reliable member, or have space for one more, feel free to comment or DM me. Thank you!

General Question Recognition Rites attendance mandatory for non-awardees + COB stage walk

Kinda anxious about graduation prep. I'm from COB and I'm not an awardee, so I wanted to ask are we strictly required to attend the Recognition Rites?

Also, do our parents actually get to go up on stage with us during the event? I saw an old post here saying they do, but I wanted to confirm if that's still the case for COB graduates since we're a lot haha

General Question Can I still apply to CSO orgs now or in term 2?

I didn't push through with my applications cause of personal reasons and bad timing. I'm now regretting it a lot. I have plenty of experience and could dish out a CV if need be. If there isn't an application pipeline outside of ARW, would cold emailing the orgs work? lol #embarrassing

Discussion Old HDA emailing was more convenient

Not lobbying for anything. Just sharing an experience.

For me, easier to search using key words (or even adjacent ones). All announcements being embedded in one email these days would still require more sifting, as they're not as searchable compared to independent announcements appearing when I search for certain topics. Was also nice when I could immediately see in the subject line what something is about. My contextually important emails were not being buried, as I had priority markers for them.

Student Life Millenial Lasalle Story - The River Dantes

The river dantes is filled with yellow froth. That of the image of a fresh foam pour of a warm red horse mucho in a greasy glass.. with  Noel’s isaw (popular spot in the university he studied in) with two rice. Just livin la vida loki.

Arman took a piss in the CR of what was Kitchie Nadals bagnet resto along Leon Guinto st. where he loved to play chess. With the ID in the cr left behind because he had to pee the warm mucho and visceral salt deposits of his unseen organs.

the relief was not sweet but more from a dark sensuality, almost cryptic but oh so divine.

He forgot about his ID rushes out of the CR. wants another drag of the  crisp menthol Marlborough blacks ..."aircon for the throats"  he calls it.

So he can top up the scantifying relief of expelling the uric acid ...with that he takes another sip of the fermented sugar that is red horse.  It might be warm, and flakey cuz there might have been some ash... but its all he has right now. and thats all he gets. dosent diminish nothing if its already in.

He drinks a couple more in the dark dredges of Katipunan where it all becomes blur. and it fades automatically to the next day. where the ID?? he dosent know where he put it-put it.

....fast forward 2056.

Arman is 67 and he is going to a machine that repeatedly does a job his body can no longer do. He is accompanied by his 16 year old daughter therese. this was his daughter from his first marriage with Anathelga, a 26 year old lass when he was then 42 when he knocked her up.

He has a permanent opening, a vascular access in his neck. a doorway between blood and machine.

most people spend their whole lives trying to close wounds. He has one permanently open.

he does this procedure twice a week. He can no longer pee. he remembers the warm mucho looking piss in that old cellar of a bathroom  in the bagnet resto he used to play chess with his friends.

And there he remembered his ID. there he said. "ah" thats where i put it...(but this didnt really happen.  because there was never an ID to begin with) It is what the audience wants for him. they want a happy resolution for this man.  But in the ends. Its what he wants for himself. His daughter snaps him out of it. She's like" hey dad the nurse is gonna intubate your boots boots  now (what she affectionately calls the hole in his neck... or the butas)  "

Then the machine starts to humm.

Discussion bio majors, where did you do your practicum and how was it?

hiii! incoming practicum student here (medbio) and i’m curious about other bio majors’ practicum experiences.

where did you do your practicum and how was it overall? was the workload chill or super hectic? did it last for the whole 14 weeks?

what were your usual tasks, schedule, and work environment like? did you still have time for hobbies and a life outside it?

i’m currently torn between a really good but potentially demanding HTE and somewhere probably more laid back since i’m also considering med school and kinda wanted to enjoy my remaining free time before that 🥹

would love to hear your experiences and whether you’d recommend your HTE!! thank uuu

Admissions WANTING TO GET ENROLLED!

I'm an Indian student who completed (Class 12) and I'm looking into applying to De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila as an international student.

I'm trying to figure out a few things before making any big decisions:

  1. Admission eligibility: Does DLSU accept Indian students?

  2. Equivalency requirements: Do I need a certificate of equivalency or any additional documents from the Philippines before I can apply?

  3. Course options: I'm flexible about which course I take, so I'm looking for the most affordable undergraduate program available.

  4. Tuition and other fees: What is the realistic total cost for an international student, including tuition and any additional fees for foreign students?

  5. Living expenses: How much should I realistically budget per month for rent, food, electricity, internet, and other basic expenses around Manila?

  6. Student visa: Is it possible to complete the admission process and obtain the appropriate student visa with my qualifications?

I've already contacted the university's admissions office by email, but I haven't received a proper response yet, so I thought I'd ask people who might have experience with DLSU Manila or studying in the Philippines as an international student.

I'd really appreciate any advice, especially from current students, former students, or other international applicants. Thanks!
