I’ve always loved cars, driving and drifting, even before Fast and the Furious/Tokyo Drift. But from being broke, to focusing on career to broke again and family/health issues through the last 2 decades, I never had the chance to experience the drift scene up close.
While I’m now able to afford it, my old friends are out of the car game in general and have no interest in learning to drift or hang out(I’ve offered my car as well). So I decided to start learning alone and have been for the past year and a half or so. I’m now 35 and I’ve went to every event solo. I’m finding it hard to make friends as most of the people my age have been doing it for over a decade at this point and already have their trusted circle of friends that they can drive with. Feeling like I missed the train on getting better together with some homies and driving Final Bout one day.
I think I’m just venting at this point. Here’s a video of my current progress.
