Wishlist & Ideas Alvin and the Chipmunks movies (with normal voices on the chipmunks actors without high pitching effect) Audioedit

Post image

I was watching many videoclips from Alvin and the chipmunks pitched down, I mean, with the chipmunks characters talking with the normal voices of the actors that voice them: Justin Long, Matthew Gray Gubler, Jesse McCartney, Christina Applegate, Anna Harris and Amy Poehler (3rd film)/Kaley Cuoco (4th) without high pitching effect. So, I have the curiosity and want, sometimes imagining a little bit, to see the full films saga, at least the live actions with this concept. I would like to know if somebody in this platform can make a fanedit, or better said, an audio edit if I can call it this way, from the full films and give the chipmunks a most natural and pleasant talking tone, I recommend to use ai tools to separate the voices from the background sound and from the human characters (like Dave, Ian, etc) voices so they don't change too (like usually happens in some of this vids I saw), making the most closely clean audio as possible.

I know that the high pitched voices are so characteristic and recognizable from the Chipmunks and take it away can make them lose "The squirrel effect" but at least consider it as a alternate curiosity than a replacement from their original gaudy voices. Let me know and I will read you.

Wishlist & Ideas Opening of Halloween Ends edited into Halloween Kills?

Has anyone seen a fanedit that moves the beginning of Halloween Ends introducing Corey Cunningham over to Halloween Kills or maybe even Halloween (2018)? You would have to adjust the timeline of the movies to make the events happen on the same night as Halloween Kills (and/or Halloween 2018) but I think this would help a little with the issue of Cunningham suddenly showing up in Ends and would flow a little better.

If it has been done, where did they put the Cunningham opening? Did they merge it into the events of the same night as Kills & Halloween (2018) or did they use it as a post credit sequence?

New Release Dragon Ball Kai Gaiden: Saiyan Training Arc (RELEASE)

I started this edit as someone who’d only really watched Dragon Ball Z through Kai but was interested in some of the extra material only in the original anime. My goal with Dragon Ball Kai Gaiden is to make these filler scenes from throughout the series feel more like meaningful side stories rather than just time wasters. To essentially inject the great moment-to-moment pacing of Kai, with some fun side stories. To do that, I removed a lot of the dead air, meandering scenes, and entire plotlines, particularly here with Gohan, that I felt didn’t add much and were expressed better elsewhere. By doing this I managed to cut what was 12 episodes in the original DBZ down to only 6, while in this section Kai only had 2 episodes. Not only did I shorten the arc, but I also rearranged certain storylines (such as the Planet Arlia Filler) to fit better with the canon material and give the overall structure a better flow than the original DBZ version. I think what I came to in the end strikes a nice balance of fleshing out the pre-Saiyan training while not having it drag on for too long.

In simple terms, think of DB Kai Gaiden as “DLC” for the original Kai that you watch inbetween certain episodes.

To achieve my goal, I not only had to cut and edit the filler down but also made sure it fit better with Kai by creating new recaps, endings, and eye-catchers. With the newly made recaps, I didn’t want to use Kyle Herbert’s narration, AI voices, or anything like that so the narrator has been replaced by simply using dialogue and SFX from the episode to summarize the previous episode. I think it works overall since it’s sorta like how it was in the original DBZ sub which used the narrator more sparingly in the recaps. The new endings are done the same way but that’s more similar to how it was already done in Kai so the difference is not so apparent. I think the eye-catches are the most interesting because I actually drew new ones specifically for this project based on the different filler arcs. They’re not perfect or match exactly with the official ones but I think they’re fun and add to the overall vibe of the project.

This project is only available in the dub since that’s how I watch Dragon Ball in general, plus it would add a lot to the editing load if I attempted a Japanese version as well. However, attempts are made throughout to remove extra or dumb lines from the Funimation dub, though not all. Each episode comes with two audio tracks: Kikuchi and Yamamoto. Both versions use the full range of tracks from each score, and for Kikuchi depending on the scene I used the original placements or did my own thing. It’s been really fun getting to play around with both soundtracks and seeing what I can come up with, though I personally prefer Kikuchi. I also decided for this project to keep the footage consistent by replacing all the Dragon Ball Z Kai footage with upscaled Dragon Box footage, which surprisingly wasn’t as hard to sync up as you’d think. Though it won’t be consistent during a watch-through of Kai it’ll look a lot nicer and it's not like Kai didn’t have ups and downs when it came to video quality. In the upcoming arcs of this project, I plan to use Neo Raws 16mm footage now that I have acess to it.

For this project, I also had to come up with a numbering system for the episodes. Whole numbers represent episodes that are meant to replace existing Kai episodes, so you would watch my version of Episode 6 instead of the official Kai Episode 6. Episodes with decimals (for example 5.2 or 7.1) are additional side episodes that fit in between the normal Kai episodes. These should be watched after the episode they branch from; for instance, in this arc you would watch Episodes 5.1–5.3 after the official Kai Episode 5.

Overall, I’m pretty happy with how this turned out; I can safely say this is the best editing I’ve done so far, despite the number of hurdles I had with my editing software. Though not perfect, I will definitely be adding these episodes to my next full watch-through of Kai and hopefully some of you will too! Next, I plan on working on filler stuff from pre-Namek (Yes, even Fake Namek) so look forward to that! Also, I will look into getting some English subtitles started for the episodes I already have completed.

Feel free to leave any questions or feedback you have in the comments, I’d love to hear whatver ya’ll have to say about the edit!

For a download link please DM me or check my Reddit profile. As always, support the official release!

Episode 7.1 of this arc leads directly into the vanilla Dragon Ball Z Kai Episode 8, in whatever format or with whatever score you decide! If you’re looking for some other DBZ Kai fan projects I’d recommend:

New Release X-men: Second Class

• Upvotes

Hey guys, so I just fimished X-men: Second Class. It is a very short film at around 50 minutes.

This is a fanedit of X-men: Apocalypse.

But there's no Apocalypse. And while we're at it, no Magneto or Psylocke either.

One thing to note, is Moira Mactaggert was suspected to be a mutant and kidnapped seperately yet still ended up in the same cell as the X-men. That's the only headcanon to get her inclusion in this movie to work.

It is in the It cuts folder.

Updated Release Halloween 6: Hybrid Cut

Note: This is a reupload of my previous edit with a few minor tweaks (additional footage, adjusted video & audio transitions).

The revised version of my Halloween 6: Hybrid Cut is ready! As I stated in my previous post, my aim in this fan edit is to incorporate the best parts of the Producer's Cut while leaving the Theatrical Cut basically intact.

Included from the Producer's Cut:

- extended footage
- extended dialogue
- omitted scenes

From the Theatrical Cut:

- the more graphic kills
- richer cinematography

Both cuts are scanned from the original negatives, so they are in their original widescreen format and the color grades match.

I've also included an extended Wynn/Loomis dialogue from the rare Director's Cut (which is something completely different from the Producer's Cut) taken from a VHS workprint.

PM me your email address for the link.

Someone had a HD, possibly AI enhanced IDK, version on Youtube that's now gone. Does anyone know a place, or can download from someone, a HD version of the Halloween 1981 Network Television Premiere?

Hello everyone.

I'm looking for this fanedit made by kidjuputier92 from IFDB. I messaged him last year with no success and I don't feel like bothering him again for it.

If anyone would be kind enough to send my way I would appreciate it greatly.

Thanks guys

New Release The Movie Pace Project: Dressrosa Is Next + Thriller Bark Finale Release

I’m happy to announce that the next major Movie Pace release will be the Dressrosa Arc. It’s halfway done being edited, and I’m currently estimating that the entire project will consist of around 14–15 movies. I’m aiming to release the Dressrosa movies by January 2027 or earlier.

In the meantime, I’ve decided to share a movie I’ve recently finished editing: the finale of the Thriller Bark Arc. Those who have watched up to the end of episode 372 can now experience the remainder of the arc in a movie format, with smooth transitions between episodes and improved pacing, all without sacrificing the feel of the original broadcast. Clocking in at 02:33:44, this edit covers episodes 373–381, cutting around 13 minutes of watch time (or even more if you count openings, recaps, eye catchers, and previews). After watching this movie, I recommend skipping episodes 382–384 to avoid filler before picking up again at episode 385.

I know it might seem strange to edit the Water 7 Saga and then have what seems like such a large gap before the Thriller Bark finale, but I originally worked on this movie just for fun as a break from Dressrosa. I had planned to save it for a future batch release of the Thriller Bark Arc, but I ended up being too proud of how this one turned out to keep it to myself. I also wanted to release something for the r/fanedits community and One Piece fans in the meantime, rather than just making a simple announcement about what’s coming next.

Whether it’s your first time watching One Piece or you feel like rewatching this part of the series, check out the updated Linktree on my profile. The Dressrosa movies are coming along, and I’ll share them once they’re ready. Until then, enjoy this new installment of the Movie Pace project.

Work in Progress X-men: Second Class

This will be a fanedit of X-men: Apocalypse that cuts out almost every scene that doesn't include the younger cast of Cyclops, Jean, Nightcrawler, etc. And also cuts out Apocalypse, hence the name change.

It will open up with the Jean Grey intro from Dark Phoenix, then the Nightcrawler cage fight.

After that it will mostly follow scenes with Scott, Jean, etc.

The Mall deleted scene will be added back.

Apocalypse will be entorely cut, as will Magneto.

Then mansion blowing up will be framed as the doings of Stryker.

The movie will end after they escape from Strykers facility and have the same final scene as Apocalypse.

Deleted scene of Moira arresting Stryker will be added back.

Work in Progress The Evil Dead: HD Theatrical Reconstruction V2

Thumbnail

This edit was done in an attempt to reconstruct the original 1983 theatrical release of The Evil Dead. Some people have done this before, but have their own unique way of creating it. I've also noticed on those other versions that they tend to leave in some of the alterations that were done to the 2010 Anchor Bay Blu-Ray. It is important to note that while the 2018 Lionsgate 4K release reverts some of these changes, I do not have digital access to that release, meaning that I could only use the older, more tweaked Blu-Ray release with the DVDs to fill in the gaps. Any scene that utilized the DVD was tweaked to make it look more like an HD source.

My original version of this project was made back in July of this year, and didn't bother to color grade the film. For this version, I have color graded it to have a distinct blue look, as some of the die-hard fans of this film believe that a colder grade benefits the horror aspect of things. It's a rather simple grade, but should be effective nonetheless.

I am attempting to sync all of the audio tracks listed in the posters above, and only have to do three more, they are as follows:

  • 1.0 Original French Dub From 1983
  • 2.0 French Redub from 2003
  • 2.0 Isolated Score

Other Foreign language dubs will certainly be considered if I ever get access to them.

P.S. to the moderators, because this is the first time I'm posting a project, I'm not entirely sure how the Fan Edit Central process works. Do I only do it after I'm finished with it?

Sincerely,

MovieMason
