A retail store employee told me that if 100 people showed up for the iPhone launch last year, only around 10 showed up this year.

Are the sky high prices finally catching up with Apple? The upgrades don't seem worth the money anymore. What do you guys think?

(Edit: Man! I know the iPhone 18 base model isn’t out. I’m talking about the current Pro and Pro Max models.)

As the title says, I cancelled my Duo pre-order which was gonna be delivered 9-16th Nov. I was excited for a Foldy iphone & something different which is why I’m typing this on an iPhone Air but realistically I just don’t think I’d use it to its full capabilities. I believe once the novelty wears off I’d be stuck with a phone I use closed most the time, unless I’m at home. I’m not saying I won’t try it another time & I’m excited to see the reviews of people using in real life, but for now I’m happy to try the 18 Pro. Can’t go back to the PM version after using the air as it seems way too big. This feels like a nice middle ground, for now & it’ll be nice to get my UW Lens back!!

My 18PM fell out of my hands yesterday, flat down on the screen. Thankfully, the screen protector absorbed all the damage. The screen is totally fine.

Massive upgrade internally makes this phone really feel like a huge upgrade, despite the back looking the same. This is an amazing phone. Apple did well.

Is it just me or yall like me can’t wait until Apple get out this phase !

I love black but I am worried about the scuff and scratches showing silver. But I also like silver because it’s classic and scratches and scuffs won’t show as much. 😅 I carry my phones caseless.

Burgundy was nice in pictures but didn’t like it much in person so I exchanged it for silver. So clean!
Also first time downsizing from Pro Max to regular Pro, loving it so far.

I’m on round 2 in regards to owning both the PM and Pro 18. The thing with the pro max is that it’s so big and flashy all you wanna do is use it, but the weight is so annoying and rocking caseless makes it comfortable, until you realize aluminum is slippery. I have a tech woven case for both, and the grip feels good on both but awkward on the smaller phone, and adds weight to the PM. Going caseless on the 18 Pro though feels nice, and feels more like a phone rather than a mini tablet. I’m coming from a 15 pro max which honestly had ideal size and weight, but the size of the pro makes me wanna use it more like a phone and it doesn’t feel like a liability when I’m walking around with it compared to the PM, especially caseless. If the camera bump wasn’t so big, the pro would have a beautiful look proportions-wise. The PM however makes the camera bump tolerable when it comes to holding it since the phone itself is big and has more space in the back for one handed use. Then again, I’m so used to the big screen, maybe I just need a super thin case on the PM to make holding it easier and more comfortable. Anyone else going through this ? Never have been so conflicted over something so silly like phone size and weight.

What happened is that after I picked it up on the 18th of September , everything was going well and the phone performance was great, but after 2 days i opened Safari and went to private the app tell me to set a face ID , when i clicked yes the face ID emotion in the top of the screen freeze and 2-3 seconds after the phone shut down by itself , i reopen it and everything was running normal, but i asked AI and it tell me the phone may have a software/system issue , I booked an appointment the same day with a specialist at apple , and he tested it and confirm the issue , and got me the typical new phone .

It takes about 10-15 minutes there
And they where so friendly and professional .

If someone wondering I upgraded from iphone 11 to 18 pro max .

Pre ordered the 18 pro in burgundy. Used it for a week, no complaints on the phone but the fingerprints was atrocious. Ended up returning it and getting the glacier. No regrets there and the blue is honestly so nice in person. Did anyone else end up exchanging the colours, If so what was the reason?

Maybe a 3-4 foot drop off of the armrest of my couch and onto hardwood floor, (TineeOwl case shown at the end) - I always knew the new aluminum frame was fragile after what I’ve seen from the 17 Pro’s release, so I took the precaution of not using the Apple Cases and getting something decently protective.

Yeah, the aluminum corner still bent ever so slightly 😂, coming from a titanium 16 Pro Max I had no idea how to gauge the softness of this new material, but damn.

I personally don’t care as I was planning to use the phone caseless with AppleCare+ anyways, but I wanted to warn some of the OCD users on here, even with a case, the aluminum frame on these new builds can get damaged, just fyi.

I just listed my 18 Pro Max for sale on Swappa. It’s heavy!! My Pinkie isn’t strong enough 🥹
