This is my 2nd try and tbh this is 80% like street momos the good ones.

I've been eating momos for the past 10 years almost once every week and I try to buy from different shops to understand the art of momos. I have only one addiction and that is momo.

Everything is made by me from scratch.

Momos - very thin coating to get the juiciness and full flavour of the chicken.

Soup - Simple veg soup with beans and cabbage and lots of black pepper

Chutney - Homemade firey sauce. The spiciness will F your brains out.

I think this is my best achievement this year apart from getting a job and quitting it after 2 months 🫪.

After the dhaak fell silent. 📸 Kolkata, 2012. After Durga Puja, dhakis would often make their rounds through neighbourhoods and homes. People would offer them money in appreciation for the days they had spent giving the Puja one of its most unmistakable sounds.

It was not simply about collecting money. It was part of an older rhythm of the festival, a small exchange between those who created the sound of Puja and the people who had celebrated to it.

The Puja would be over. The pandals would begin to disappear. But sometimes, the dhaak would return once more to the doorstep.

I wonder if they still come now.

He approached me saying his bank server wasn’t working and he urgently needed to make an online payment. He had no cash, so I gave him cash in exchange for an online payment.

He seemed genuine. I didn’t ask for any guarantee. I simply trusted him and helped.

But guess what? The money never came back.

No payment. No money. Just a lesson in trust.

The irony is that all he needed was a little help, and all I expected was honesty.

I envy the people who are genuinely comfortable with their parents, like genuinely you share a friend like bond, anything good or bad happens the first thing you feel like is sharing with them, i kinda envy those people. Growing up made me realise that my parents and my bond is very hierarchical, it is not that they are bad people, they are comfortable, normal people, my sister and my mother share a great bond there are banters but they kinda take each others back too when required. Where as I became a lot distant from that bond there was a lot of bottled up things I use to face as an adolescent but never had the guts to talk about those to her or my father. I had friends who told me how sharing their problems to either of their parents solved everything I just sat there and wondered how my life would have been if I had the guts to talk to my parents share good bad sad moments. Something in me always stops it I always looked at them as parents why should I bother them with my problem. So I genuinely envy the people who are comfortable with their parents. You have already won in life you have everything of life. I might envy you guys but never want anything bad its just a genuine feeling I get and the constant "what ifs?"

I am not born and brought up in kolkata. And I am living here since 2022 due to work and initial years I couldn't explore or travel much, but very recently all the old buildings, historical buildings and everything as the asthetic view of kolkata hit me. I try to see things visit places more.

I was entering kolkata (by sbstc bus) and this is what I could capture with whatever phone I have. At the end of the bridge when it actually enters kolkata, i saw the skyline and it was great, i couldn't capture it and there were guardrails, but it hold all the things side by side.

Howrah Bridge, Victoria, Big small buildings, The 42, and many more I don't know the names, but it was very wonderful to see.

And a dilapidated brush.

So an 18 yr old gets caught kissing a 13 yr old ....that's a crime in itself. Clear case of grooming and POCSO.

But no one is mentioning their age in the news.

But the outage is more about that guy and his father being paraded naked. I think

In my opinion that's deserved.

And bengal needs to get serious about these lowly scums going after minor girls.

Underage marriage was already a problem.

She's 13 and there's no outrage about this.
