Sketches of the past two days
I'm sketching with a copy of Bridgman on the table. Really helpful book, can recommend it to anyone!

You do not have to draw circles.
It seems like a good third of the posts here are poor souls despairing that they're not making progress- meanwhile they've been just filling up pages with circles and boxes. Whoever told you to do this tricked you. You are wasting your time and energy.
Its honestly upsetting seeing all these beginner artists getting frustrated and confused. Its a fine warmup at best. It is not how you should be spending your time.
In short: don't practice scales so much that you never play any music.

Question Just beginning, where do I go from here?
Ive just started to learn the basics of figure drawing. I used to use AI (i know, yucky), and decided I want to actually make something of my own. I used a workbook to get some of the basics down, then practiced some poses on my own using a more geometrical style, although I suspect that might not be very useful. Im just looking for some tips and resources, and to be pointed in a direction. So far what's worked best for me is being shown how someone does the process themselves and then doing it in a similar way so I have an example to work off of. Any resources like that would be much appreciated :)

Just Sharing 2yr Difference, Switching Art Styles Helped Me
I drew a lot in an anime art style for years, but switching my art style to something a bit more realistic has helped me improve my understanding of face proportions drastically. I still draw in an anime art style time to time though for fun, but I would definitely suggest switching art styles to experiment with your artistic skills and limits 🙃
First drawing is Gale from BG3, and second drawing is just an OC of mine.

Just Sharing (criticism welcome) I wouldn't say I did bad for not having drawn in a while :)
they're all a little inaccurate but hey, improvement needs flaws to begin

Critique Wip
Sketch for my new drawing. She will have clothes in the final work, this is just the anatomy sketch.
Im really happy with how the anatomy and perspective worked out, im still open to critique (i know her right foot is still a bit weird)

Question Anatomy isn't quite where I want it to be, any advice (other than just do more of it ðŸ˜)
Just did a quick study, and whilst it's definitely not bad, for my current ski level (?), it's definitely not perfect. And the first one is meant to not have arms, it's meant to be the body of one of my OCs.
I've noticed legs and feet are definitely a weak point, atm, in particular.
