I had a gecko that moved into my house of it’s own will ama ilikuwa God-sent sijui. I even named it Angelo for fun and all 😅 He was doing a good job juu I always saw him hunting and eating mosquitoes and cockroaches so the infestation was reducing gradually. Shida sasa ilikuja when Poor Angelo decided to play hide n’ seek chini ya suitcase. So this particular morning, I pulled the suitcase to get some few items of clothing. Kurudisha, napata the poor bastard dead with his head turned at an impossible angle and the most pitiful look ever. I swear I felt this choking feeling kwa throat. That whole week I lamented a lot but he was gone and there was nothing I could do. But it was an accident although unwarranted. I still think about that last look on his tiny poor face. Have you ever wondered where animal’s spirits go when they die? Maybe he’s there enjoying life 🤷♂️

A person I met at event told me he works in a high office that can let you check how much people are paid.
I was surprised that titles don't come with the huge some of cash you'd think of. In fact, you are paid depending on what you quote. There was a guy heading a certain department but pale kwa msharaha, someone in another department junior than him earns 50% more.
I'm also surprised that people who I thought bring value to the company and they should earn more are the least appreciated.

Sitaki advice, I'm just here to rant bc I cant do this with anyone else.
So I recently cut off what could have been the best thing that happened in my life.
You know the type of person you only get to meet once in your lifetime? Yea that kind.
Our "friendship" lasted barely 2 yrs, the type of friendship where both of us knew we were just bullshiŧing and we'd eventually cross that invisible line and make out or some sh!t but something always held me back, I valued the friendship more.
Us dating made sense on paper but I knew it would eventually end with us resenting each other so I decided to just jump ship and do him the honours of ending everything.Blocked him everywhere.
I knew it would hurt but this one apana aki,its been a month na bado I'd randomly get attacks and just start crying. Truth is,I loved him and he loved me too and that was the main issue. I felt too strongly for him but my stubborn self refuses to let someone have that much control over me emotionally. Some may say I self sabotaged and they'd be right.
Anyways ig being stuck in a constant loop of wondering what may have come out of this is what is driving me crazy 😭 The only thing that is keeping me afloat rn is going through our old text messages but that on its own is some sadistic sh!t bc I just end up hurting myself all over again,I deserve it tho.
Fantasies of whether our paths will ever cross again and how much we would have changed by then drive me into near psychosis too but it is very much welcomed.
In conclusion ,I achieved my goal of making him hate me (hopefully) ,now I have to go through the hard part alone which is healing and moving on.

I've always found it puzzling how a man will stumble on a cheating partner and start pummeling the innocent guy. My initial conviction was that women always deserved the wrath, regardless of the situation. However, according to the opinions of some, context matters. For instance:
If the act of infidelity was being perpetrated in your bedroom. People find it disrespectful that a man would have the guts to enter their home, whether by invite or otherwise, possibly scoff at their family portrait on the wall, and proceed to lay serious pipe on their Mrs (possibly on a bed they lie in every night). This can be a justifiable cause for a beatdown.
If a man knows you, or worse, is a companion.
My take, however, is that the women bear the greater responsibility. The reason is uncomplicated. They are the betrayers of the partnership. Secondly, I've been in such scenarios and have rightfully concluded that women are typically the initiators, or the enablers. Another legitimate reason is that sex is instinctive/primal for men. Men have an innate drive to have sex with women, more so attractive women, and it takes a man of austere character to turn down such opportunities.
I construed this fact eons ago when a buddy introduced me to his partner. By the devil's own luck she happened to be my type, and worse still, the attraction was mutual. What followed was overwhelming temptation. The friend, oblivious of the developments, had me liaise with her over issues that I won't mention, lest my identity be revealed.
We inadvertently clicked with the feme, and as expected, the mutual attraction became even more conspicuous. I'm great at practicing restraint, but this was unfamiliar territory. To make matters worse, the lass kept initiating contact long after the task was complete. The calls lacked agendum: just saying hi, checking up on you, etc. 😅
I'm no slouch; I knew what was expected of me, and, at the time, the devil's favourite pitch was, 'Your buddy won't find out.' 😅 It is an exceedingly trying temptation given that you eminently want to get involved, and the sole hindrance is betrayal. The presentation of a possibility to fornicate in secrecy appears to be the perfect compromise, but this is a classical tale of deception.
The mental, physical, and spiritual fortitude required to forgo the trial was unworldly, but I eventually managed to stop picking her calls, and she got the memo. The battle was won by the narrowest of margins, but a win is a win. 🏆
In light of this and other similar occurrences, I always arrived at the conclusion in my opening remarks that women solely deserve the backlash. However, I may be unqualified to give counsel on this matter, as I have never been a victim of infidelity. Be it as it may, my perspective has gradually gravitated towards a more judicious one. My prevailing inclination on this matter is that the best reaction is no reaction. No violence, no outbursts of anger, no crying (this shouldn't even be an option). Simply counting your losses and moving on is the best recourse.
Life always has better to offer. This is a truth that I have experienced innumerable times. Incalculably, I've considered someone to be special, unique, and one of a kind, only to turn around and meet someone exactly like that, or better. The frequency of this occurrence makes me believe that it is not a unique experience.
Therefore, it is senseless to throw your life away or waste your energies on bygones. Therefore, the next time you catch your cheating partner in the act, remember, there is always better out there. Be wise.

Those of y'all that rawdog mornings without brushing their teeth, are you okay? Oral health is important, floss, brush twice a day and all that. But kubrush asubuhi is the least you can do. Tuko kwa mat and the smell wafting from some of yalls mouth inafanya niskie kurudi home nilale. Those that don't, aki try. Having a clean brushed mouth is one of the best feelings in the world.

Hey fam, I have had a series of unfortunate events for a while, na most of them ni zile nakaribia kupata doh, but nothing falls through, whether it is a job I applied to ama deal nimepiga. Feels like I'm bottling in life na I'm running out of luck. Juzi nimevunja simu, currently phoneless, na leo my PayPal was permanently deactivated. Lost my laptop to theft earlier this year and lost my job as well. It makes me wonder if Life sometimes is just a string of bad luck, and when does it get better, juu the path ahead is dark, ata hio light at the end of the tunnel haionekani, but I'm still positive things zitawork out ata kama things around me are collapsing.

Heh! I've never been so embarrassed in my life. Nimekaa nyuma ya mat from a long day at work. Nikafungua tu dirisha coz my stomach has been bloated since lunch. I thought it was going to be those small silent killer ones. Plus, Mimi Ni mschana, so no one is gonna suspect me. I've also been using this strong Arabian perfume called Angham and today I layered it with Kayali 28. Tell me why instead of a fart nimeskia tu a streak of shit warming the between of my cheeks. And it's happened so fast, some of it nimeiwacha Kwa kiti huko nyuma. Some of me is always gonna be in that Super Metro 😑. Nimeshukia tu hapo uthiru the rest of the Safari nikamaliza Na boda boda. I'm still in shock ngl.

As the title says, I have a broken 23L Von Microwave that I purchased in 2022.
I have taken it to a service center, and they say I need to replace the motherboard. The total cost for this comes to kes 6,900.
In 2024, I had to repair it's keypad and it has been okay since then up until now.
My question is; do I repair this one or buy a new one? Considering the cost of buying a new one is about 12k.
Advice a semi-broke girlie.
Edit: please advise on a good microwave brand. It seems unsustainable replacing a microwave every 4 years.

So for the longest time i have been having this weird feeling my best friend has been avoiding me but i couldn’t put a finger on why.
For context i went to high school with her and after like 2yrs she got together with this dude safe to say she got married. We reconnected shortly after 2yrs after high school hence how i found out she is with the guy.
Over time we have cultivated this friendship to a point i would call her my best friend at this point i am not even sure if i am even a close friend to her anymore.
Our communication has been pretty consistent every two weeks we would always check in. (From the beginning of this year)
Late last year we went on vacation her, her man and her brother and sister in law for a week and during that trip that’s when i found out that their relationship was husband and wife. We had gone to visit her sisters in law parents since they live in mombasa and that is where we had gone for vacation.
So this year around July it was my birthday we actually planned the whole thing together i even counter checked with her my guest list and everything she and her man came but she wasn’t drinking. I asked why she said she’s taking medication for gastric issues i was cool with that. Since then I’ve been asking her to hang out she always has an excuse.
Her birthday rolls around early October i ask her whats the plan she says she’s broke and she had lost her phone so she didn’t feel like celebrating i told her we can just go have lunch she says no i stop bugging her about it. At this point ik something is up she is hiding something.
Her birthday rolls around and she calls me the day off to tell me her man bought her the 17 pro i congratulate her wishing her a happy birthday she says now she has a good phone we can go out soon im like cool whenever you’re ready let me know. I even jokingly ask her are you pagged and you’re not telling me she denies i let it go.
Fast forward today she calls me and says she has good and bad news. The bad news is she was pregnant and the good news is she had the baby two weeks ago. My flabbers are gasted because WTF. I get you wanted it to be private but you’re telling me 2wks later??
Do you consider me a witch or what. Have i misread our entire friendship this whole time? If she told me a day or two after i would have let it slide…but two weeks later??? So basically i am not as close as i thought i was.
Her excuse is that her and mans promised not to tell anyone about it.
Am i over reacting or i am just an acquaintance in all this?

My mom wants to play cupid for my brother but najua type ya my bro and she doesn't meet the requirements. Although it's very clear that the girl loves my brother huwa anakam kwetu when my bro is around is pretty much cool with everyone including my dad.
I wish she found someone better, my brother has questionable characteristics but I know she'll overlook them given the chance. That said my brother likes hanging out with her hopefully she can change him 😹 but it's funny asf

If you live around these areas please do hook me up you don't know what you'll have done for me, from the bottom of my heart. TIA

Over on X, KFS seems to have gone into overdrive on posting about the tree felling that has grabbed headlines over the last couple of weeks.
I think people understand that exotic soft wood trees like cypress, blue gum etc are grown for harvesting but the massive clearing on vast swathes of land of trees that we have grown up seeing like in Kinale, Aberdares and a convoy of new trucks carrying logs shocks the system, couple that with what the heat has been doing on us, unpredictable weather and it becomes untenable to see such ongoings.
If it comes down to brawn where timber millers insist they'll harvest, the public may decide to burn down one of their trucks to send a message.
