Hello everyone.
I'm sure we're all aware that the OOT remake is almost here.
While we're all very excited to finally play it in a few weeks....we from the mod team are kindly asking everyone here to not post spoilers about the game when it releases.
This game is going to be a big deal....so let's not ruin it for others.
If you want to make a post about the game when it releases....your post is required to have a spoiler tag.
Any unmarked posts containing blatant spoilers will be removed along with a warning....and failure to follow this procedure after the first removal will be a temporary ban.
We just want to ensure that everyone experiences the magic of the game first hand is all. :)
...
Also please don't fill the sub up with posts showing you got the game.
It was a headache when the sub was 99% posts of people sharing their photos showing they got the switch 2....so let's not repeat that.
Simply put....posts simply showing a photo of the game in your hand will be removed.

There's been confusion on the user side (and partly the mod side) on the line of which a showcase post may be removed or not, so I'd like to clear it up:
Posts that contain just a caption and screenshot of your switch, game, or accessory will be removed and are encouraged to be remade to include more substantial commentary
Posts that contain a title, screenshot AND substantial commentary on (for example) what your experience has been like, will not be removed and will usually stay up.
To also clarify what would be substantial commentary:
"So yeah, I like the switch 2 so far! The joycons feel nice and everything is responsive and feels premium" is not enough.
"I do enjoy the switch 2 overall! I wasn't really expecting much as the first switch had a lot of issues that bothered me in terms of comfortability and performance, but I've been stunned at the selection of games and have been really enjoying XYZ, [...], And I've found that it's still not very comfortable in handheld, but I've had to just come to accept it. I've been looking at third party controllers but the options are very limited right now." is allowed.
I hope that clears up the confusion a little! I enjoy seeing showcase posts personally but there are also many that don't, so this serves as a middle-ground balance so that there is a better standard of quality.

Hey yall!
I unfortunately, did not get a warp pass for the midnight launch of OoT but I see that there are many Best Buy’s that are hosting an event. For those who also live in NYC, which one will have the most people? I love the energy and would love to get the feeling of participating in a cultural phenomenon. Let me know!

I’m planning to get one of these but not sure which one regarding the wattage and if a high one would be bad in the long run for the consoles battery
Also this would be the first for me owning a portable charger for my switch 2

Been seeing a lot of people saying their call of duty mw4 file sizes are over 130GB but I’ve competed the campaign and play multiplayer and DMZ and mine is only 91.3GB ? What’s the differences there with others having such large file sizes?

Definitely looking forward to the vibrant visuals update and will certainly jump into the Mario mash up world just to explore. But otherwise, I’m very curious going into this new version and trying it out.
Hi guys, do you know if it will be available again?
This is one of the last thing I miss for being ready to play Ocarina of Time soon and I can’t find it anywhere on internet for weeks
Have a nice day and night

Any of you not a collector or huge Zelda fan still getting the console? I’m neither but wanted to see if you’re getting it due to the scarcity or simply you like the design of it

I'm not sure this has been mentioned before. I'm just finding out today. Apparently the auto update software setting only applies to your 12 most recently played games. If there are downloaded games sitting in your library you have not touched in a while and a patch or update came out you did not get the update.
The console's auto-update system only checks for updates on the most recent 12 games displayed on your HOME Menu
I went through all my downloaded games hit the + button and selected software update then via the internet. To my surprise 17 games have updates. What doesn't make sense though some of those games are on my 12 most recently played. Like I literally was playing them all week and no update without me forcing it. I checked my auto update software toggle was selected to on. I never completely power my Switch 2 off when I put it on the dock.
Long story short there may be some patches or updates that could improve your gaming experience that you are missing out on if you aren't manually checking for updates.

I used to be apply to do it no problem but now I always seem to end up with some dust underneath and it drives me crazy once I notice it. I've tried the steamy bathroom method but I still end up with some dust.

I can’t decide between Final Fantasy Resonance and The Adventures of Elliot. I played both demos and really enjoyed them, which obviously hasn’t helped me choose 😂
For Resonance, I’m wondering whether I’d enjoy the full game without being a die-hard Final Fantasy fan. Does it stand well on its own, or is knowing the series a big part of the appeal?
With Elliot, my main concern is the amount of content. Does it feel like a satisfying, substantial adventure, or is it over a little too quickly? I enjoy exploring, upgrading my gear, and having optional bosses to work towards after the main story.
What are the pros and cons of each, and which would you pick?
thx <3
EDIT: Thanks to everyone who commented! Your recommendations overwhelmingly favor FFR, so that’s the one I’m going with! :) Thanks so much, everyone! <3

My primary reason is to play with the family, kids and wife, to get everyone moving and have fun. Secondary, if I buy any games, that will be only exclusive games on Nintendo, Zelda and Pokemon.
Not entirely sure if they will like it. I do have a PS5, but I'm the only one playing it, well a few times my youngest plays with the Astro game.

Hey everyone :)
I’ve just got my first ever Nintendo console (Switch 2), having played Playstation my entire life (PS2-PS5).
I’m usually into story driven, open world games with big worlds and good graphics, but part of the appeal of getting a Switch is trying things outside my usual comfort zone!
I’ve never played any Nintendo games before, so I have no idea where to start with franchises like Mario, Zelda or Pokémon. Would love recommendations for good entry points and must play exclusives.
To start off, I’m definitely getting Minecraft (€29.99) tomorrow, but I’m also trying to decide on my second game to ease me into the console coming from PS. The current sale has me choosing between:
Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition (€27.99 from €69.99) - already played and loved it on PS5, but tempted to experience it again on Switch 2. Considering it’s on sale rn too
Hogwarts Legacy (€23.99 from €59.99) - never played it, but it’s been on my wishlist for ages.
I’ve also heard great things about Hades. That would prolly be on my wish list too
Would you recommend any of these, or are there other games on sale that I should prioritise? I’m also happy to add games to my wishlist for future sales
Basically, if you were introducing someone to Nintendo for the first time, what would you recommend? Thanks! :)

I was an N64 kid and my family owned exactly 2 fighting games for the platform: Super smash bros and MORTAL KOMBAT TRILOGY.
I had zero concept of what "copy right" or "first/third party games", all I knew was mario and link were on the N64, then they appeared together in smash bros, so in my mind anything on the N64 was fair game.
Mortal kombat trilogy was rated M, but I played it anyway because my parents let me. was I good at it? no. did the fatalities give me nightmares? yes. but who cares, Sub zero was one of my favorite video game characters. I was sub zero for halloween and my sister was scorpion!
then I got a bit older and understood that "not all games are nintendo games" and I was given a million reasons why it'll never happen.
"Mortal kombat isn't owned by Nintendo"
"Mortal Kombat is rated M, it's too violent"
"mortal kombat is literally banned in Japan!"
and so for over 20 years I gave up hope. I accepted it was never going to happen. but you know what? when the next smash bros game gets announced for switch 2, I'm getting my hopes up again. it's going to happen. there are no rules for who can get into smash bros! all rules people thought existed have been broken! it's finally time for sub zero and scorpion to get in and my childhood dream fulfilled, and you cannot convince me otherwise!
remember this post when they get announced! REMEMBER!

I bought a switch 2 last year but haven't played it that often and haven't gotten a Nintendo online subscription yet, but before I do, I wanted to see if it is worth it? What are some popular online games? I was looking at Super Smash bros, but with it being released in 2018, are people still playing it? I have Nintendo sports and Mario cart, are those games tough to find lobbies and matches?
