In the future, we will remove any and all posts that just there to show off stickers. Such posts often attract rule breaking behavior that we do not want here, as the stickers are often used to display political leanings that have nothing to do with r/thinkpad.
This is a subreddit about ThinkPads. Not about stickers that you may have on your ThinkPad.

I just bought my dream laptop since i was on the Highschool :D
i've seen review of this laptop about 1 year ago and feel impressed with the Upgradability of the hardware
And now i have it! and i bought this using my first salary :D
i'm very gratefull with my life now hehe
btw the last pict was comparison between my old laptop (Thinkpad X260) and P50
But i want to ask something:
Did P50 have a touchscreen? Cuz my model have a touchsreen on it
And did you guys know about the keyword to search on ebay/another online shop? cuz if someday i need the sparepart i can just go straight to buy the screen
OH! and i just put CachyOs on it, because when i use X260 i use Cachy as my main os for daily and i loooooooveeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it
Thanks :)

Still setting it up and all but I like it plenty so far.
Never had one for myself, only as a work laptop and have wanted one for well over a decade by now. Remember seeing the IBM ThinkPads as a kid/teen and already liked ThinkPads back then. Sure, this is not like ThinkPads from that era but I love it all the same.
For those who care:
Core Ultra 5 225H
16GB RAM (2x8GB)
512GB SSD
The 400 nits, 100% sRGB, 120hz, high res, screen upgrade
64Wh battery
The best wifi module available was chosen.
Windows 11 Pro (Is this acceptable around here? XD)

I just got my first ThinkPad P16s & So far, it’s the best portable workstation I’ve used.
I’m a heavy user and work with CAD softwares, so I need a capable processor. The 16-inch screen is great, and the keyboard is easily the best in class.
My previous HP gaming/workstation laptop felt delicate, and the screen hinge was starting to give way. The ThinkPad feels sturdy while still being lightweight, which I’m really happy about.

Hello all! My Macbook suffered a sad death last week and thus I need a replacement for school and other out of house things. I found on Marketplace a Thinkpad X13 Yoga Gen 1 with an i7 10th gen, 16GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. My big things I want are
Decent enough performance to handle a plethora of tabs, maybe some light programming but nothing too heavy
Enough battery life that I won’t have to charge it during my 6 hour school day (non-continuous use)
Tablet function (not necessary but Its a bonus)
Enough longevity (already 6 years old) that I won’t have to replace it too soon
Good thermals would be nice aswell (my Macbook was a toaster) but not necessary
The top two are the most important ones by far. Do yall think it would be a good fit? It’s 230 USD used. TIA

I have been using my X395 for a few months and plan on upgrading to a T14.
My Options are
T14 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel I5 10310 for 220 Euros
T14 24GB RAM, 1TB SSD, AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U for 300 Euros
T14 32GB RAM, 256GB SSD, AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U for 300 Euros
I will probably haggle about 30 Euros off the price

got a used 2022 Thinkpad X13 Gen 3 AMD
crystal disk info is reporting SAMSUNG MZVL2512HCJQ-00BL7 which I think is the original drive it came with.
Health:98%
Total Read: 19685 GB
Total Write: 17081 GB
Power on hours: 2414 Hours
Power on count: 133788 count
Critical Warning: 0
Media and Data Integrity Errors: 0
Number of Error Information Log Entries: 0
I have searched it up and some wrote it's due to the idling/power saving features of Windows making the power on count high. but I have not seen proper analysis of it yet. Is there anyone facing the similar power on count on their SSDs?
should I be worry about it or the drive itself is fine?

Hi everyone,
I woke up today to my ThinkPad X13 Gen 2 displaying this strange interlaced / duplicated artifact on the built-in screen (photos attached).
Here is the context and what I've tested so far:
- What happened: The night before, I accidentally stacked a heavy workstation laptop (~2.5 kg / 5.5 lbs) on top of the closed X13 lid.
- External display test: Plugged into an external monitor, everything renders flawlessly with zero artifacts, so the iGPU/motherboard seems completely fine.
- Boot screen / BIOS: The distortion appears right at the Lenovo boot logo and BIOS splash screen, confirming it is a hardware-level issue rather than a driver/OS glitch.
Has anyone encountered this specific failure mode before? Could this be a slightly unseated/damaged eDP display cable behind the panel or motherboard hinge, or is the LCD panel itself internally damaged (e.g., fractured internal traces or damaged COF / driver IC) from the localized pressure?
Any insights or repair advice before I order a replacement panel would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

6650u
512GB SSD just 14TBW
1200p 300nits screen
no dents/scrapes/marks.
32GB Ram.
$400
96%battery capacity
replaced thermal paste with PTM7950 today, helped a lot.
This is my first thinkpad and I am really enjoying it compared to my macbook air, it has really changed my perspective on value for dollar for certain.
I think I did great considering 32GB ram.
I've been considering a 2K LCD upgrade part number NE140QDM-NX1, I have the LCD and cable parted, should I consider any other parts that could break during the process? I'm experienced and can be careful. just trying to avoid fiddling with glued parts .

Heyo. I’ve got a T480 I bought refurbished off of Amazon, and it seemed okay, and has done okay, outside of the battery draining rapidly. I got a battery report and checked Lenovo vantage, both seem to think the battery is completely a-okay, despite the fact it’s telling me that my battery life estimate is at most 3 hours per charge. I’m really confused, and can’t figure out what to do to help fix the issue, or where to even look.
I thought it could be the extremely outdated drivers, but updating all of them only served to extend the battery life by about 30 minutes. I have warranty on it, but I legitimately don’t even know if it is damaged. This would be tolerable if the charge speed wasn't abhorrent- it takes about 3 hours from 30% to charge to 100%.

Most of the t41s and t61s were used for lan parties with friends, we would play Halo CE with each one linked together at one table, very fun times.
6x t41 (missing 3🥹), 3x t61 (missing 1, another not pictured), 2x t430 (missing 1), 1x t450s, 1x t450, 2x t460 (missing 1)

Anyways I thought of testing the charging with my Anker 165w power bank with a screen on it,
Both charging ports charge at 0.1W according to the power bank. (I don’t have a female C to male C volt/current reader yet)
Do you think it’s the motherboard?
pinhole reset doesn’t work.
Battery only had less than 10 charge cycles prior to usage.
Laptop was 1 cycle when I got it.
