Sub under new management - Anyone can now make a post

Hi all,

As the previous mods had gone AWOL, I have now claimed this sub from Reddit.

I have changed the rules and anyone can now make a post without prior permission being needed.

Please be patient while I go about getting this place in order.

My coworker can sneeze on command

My coworker showed me today that she can sneeze on command, but to my knowledge, that shouldn't be possible. My only theory is that she's somehow coughing through her nose, but she says it just feels like a normal sneeze. Is there an explanation for this?

Vomiting pattern going on for 2 years but no answer

Hi everyone,

I (21F) have been experiencing for the past 2 years violent episodes of vomiting happening approx every month and lasting 5-10 days.

It always start the same way with a difficult night with a lot of sweating then horrendous nausea and some kind of diarrheas then i start vomiting. I am not able to keep down even water and have stomach pain during that whole time.

I did an MRI, a scan and a gastric emptying study and everything came back normal.
I already have quite a few chronic/autoimmune diseases.

I am at my wits end and feel like i will die every time these episodes happen because of how bad it is.
I don’t feel heard by my doctor who just says she can’t do much for me but it’s been 2 years of agony.

I am a full time student and my studies are in peril because of this and no-one seems to realise the impact it has on me and my life.
I cannot continue like this but i don’t know what to do…

Doctor not Responding

So I got a blood test two weeks ago, and I decided to give them a few days to call me with the results, but I never heard anything. So, I decided to call them myself. When I called, they transferred me to the office and told me that their assistant would be the one to answer. I waited on the phone, but no one picked up, so they told me to leave a voicemail. I waited another 2 days, but still nothing.
I called again, and the exact same thing happened. They transferred me to the office, no one answered, and I was told to leave another voicemail. I called again yesterday same thing, Thought I would hear something today and nothing, since it was already 2 p.m I decided to call again. I even tried explaining the situation to the receptionist at the front desk, but she said there was nothing she could do since she was only the receptionist. She took my name, phone number, and date of birth and said she would pass the information along. The frustrating part is that my mom called about a week ago, and they told her the exact same thing.
At this point, I feel like I’m going in circles, and nobody is actually helping me get my results. What should I do? Do I go in person now?

chronic itch for 8 months

Hi, I’m 24F and have been experiencing persistent itching for approximately 7–8 months, with no identifiable cause.
The itching:
Affects my whole body and occurs every single day.
Has progressively worsened over the past several months.
Occurs without an initial visible rash.
Causes burning after scratching, followed by scabs and dark marks/hyperpigmentation.
Has no obvious triggers (food, heat, showers, clothing, etc.)
Hasn’t improved with antihistamines or any topical creams.
Remained the same when I spent several days away from home and on holiday.

Blood test results (September 2026):
Eosinophils: 0.62 × 10⁹/L (elevated; reference range 0.04–0.40)
Total WBC: 8.6 × 10⁹/L (normal)
Haemoglobin: 135 g/L (normal)
Ferritin: 36 µg/L (low-normal)
TSH: 1.6 mIU/L (normal)
HbA1c: 34 mmol/mol (normal)
CRP: <5 mg/L (normal) Liver function: ALT 10, ALP 62, bilirubin 12 (normal) Kidney function: creatinine 68, eGFR >90 (normal)

I have also stopped taking the supplements i was taking for my PCOS for nearly a month without any improvement.
I also have PMDD.
My GP has said the eosinophils is only mildly elevated and not particularly concerning. They haven’t identified a cause for the itching and keep saying they don’t know what to do as I have now tried everything.
The itching is just getting worse and it’s driving me insane.
Does anyone please have any advice or has dealt with this before and found a solution? I’m genuinely going insane so anyone help would be really appreciated x

Heart advice

Lately I’ve been having this really strange pain that feels like it’s coming from my heart, it usually only last a few seconds but it feels like a pin point/straining feeling and idk it’s that’s normal. I’m just really scared I’m going to kneel over and have a heart attack so if anyone has this similar feeling or knows what it could possible be please leave opinions lol. I’m gonna go to the doctor when I can get health insurance lol. My chest sorta hurts when I take a deep breath but I can’t tell if it’s my chest wall or my lungs but my brain keeps telling me I have hypertension, heart failure, and I’m gonna have a stroke idk

Light Sensitivity!

[Reposted]

Male: late 30s, healthy & active, a little chunky.

I've been dealing with light sensitivity issues that started off mild but have become an issue. The glare from lights even in daytime is not pleasant. I can't stand car lights especially at night. If I'm exposed to it for too long I get a migraine. I have to pull over until I can see to safely return back to driving. The sunlight messes with me too, depending on how bright it is but its mainly man made light that triggers me.

It's gotten to the point where I use red lights at home at night on days I need a break. Certain buildings I'm unable to enter due to their lighting. Even the lights at my house are dimmer, then most. I noticed it getting worse since I'm using the red lights more often in my house at night to get a break.
