This is part of a series of technical recreations of historic UFO sightings.

As today marks the 72nd anniversary of this sighting I thought it would make a good case for recreation.

The details are highly strange. Over 10,000 fans including players at a football stadium witnessed an egg-shaped UFO and multiple “cigar” shaped UFOs. This was preceded by sightings around the city. When the UFOs disappeared, a strange spiderweb-like substance rained down from the sky. It was later deemed “angel hair.” Tests of the substance revealed boron, silicon and magnesium.

It’s a compelling encounter that reminds us that mass sightings are not as rare as we perhaps believe.

The entire scene was created in Unreal Engine. The landscape is based on real Google Earth 3D tiles of the location. The stadium is a separate set.

Based on a talk George Knapp gave at LA MUFON in 2008 wherein he describes a story about cigarette smoking dog-men wearing trenchcoats seen near Bigelow Ranch (now Skinwalker Ranch). Full video linked in the comments.

I’ve always felt the anecdote perfectly captures the high strangeness that is often reported. The phenomenon does seem to have a sense of humor.

American Scientist, Amy Eskridge- researcher and entrepreneur from Huntsville, Alabama, talks about her interest in antigravity technology, unconventional propulsion, and UFO/UAP-related research, 2 years before she was found dead, allegedly by suicide although she had made it clear to all that she was not suicidal and believed her life was being threatened for speaking out and attempting to push for the truth on antigravitic technology and more.

Dr. Blitch described encountering a tall, seven-foot creature resembling a praying mantis, which conveyed a strong male presence and seemed upset, even chastising him. This event occurred in his bedroom on the third floor of a split-level house, where the being entered through a sliding screen door that opened onto a deck with no stairs.
Despite his terror and paralysis, Dr. Blitch noted the entity’s direct and intense focus as it communicated with him telepathically. What the being supposedly told him became one of the strangest parts of his entire account because it was not simply about aliens or abduction, but about what a human being actually is.
The being explained that the human body is merely a “soul housing group” or a machine designed to house the soul for a lifetime. It claimed that while they might manipulate, adjust or even replace parts of the body, they could not take the soul or consciousness.

Hi just wondering what podcasts everyone is listening to when it comes high strangeness? I've been listening to the Brothers of the Serpent, and while the topics are great and they are well researched and I like most of the humour, I just cant get on with the pushing of the cheesy songs one of the brothers writes (sorry not my thing..im a metalhead) and the "snake bros!" catchphrase. I believe the term is retrocausation / nonlinear causality

the possibility that cause and effect operate backward through time, not just forward.

The future can affect the present and the past, just as much as the past and present can affect the future. The future has affected events in the past.

The closest philosophical term is retrocausality, also called backward causation. It describes the hypothetical possibility that an event in the future can influence an event in the past.

So I am connecting retrocausality to suffering, spiritual awakening, and the consequences of personal decisions. Perhaps my experiences have not gone as smoothly as I anticipated.

Not just a ripple effect of bad experiences after a spiritual moment in their life but also realized a lot of the terrible things that happened to you in life is what led up to it. almost like that was the central experience that ricocheted onto your entire life. Whatever happened as a result of the spiritual point in your life, led to things/experiences being taken away from you, perhaps even illnesses that have prevented you to have full enjoyment of life. Whatever thoughts or decisions made during the spiritual experience led to perhaps poor decisions being made that resulted in a life where you are fundamentally enjoying it less as a human being. you then start connecting the dots and realizing all the bad things that had led up to that point, was a result of a decision made in the future, perhaps during the trip. has anyone ever experienced that... where something that happened in the past is a consequence of a decision made in the future.... (where as usually the future is a consequence made prior to that point).

connecting the dots between my event is especially not unreasonable since a lot of major negative downward slopes in my life started almost immediately after my experience. Like a ripple effect of unprecedented events in my life.

In short, making a profound decision and subsequently realizing that seemingly unrelated tragedies occurring years earlier were consequences of that future decision.

It is a peculiar, but vey physical sensation in the mind of something endlessly big within something endlessly small. Similar to a small sphere that is endlessly heavier than it should be or a needle in a haystack. It’s also oddly comforting and soothing, almost euphoric. It’s a hard sensation to describe but if you’ve felt it, you’ll immediately understand what I’m talking about.

I was driving home tonight around 9pm on a somewhat well traveled road and I saw a streak of light in the woods I thought maybe it was a reflection untill I realized my window was down. As I go about 900 feet up the road around a sharp bend I see another glowing ball of light right near the trail head . There’s a big parking lot and another off turn road that connects to the lot so you can pull in going the opposite direction. So I do a sharp turn onto the road to get a better look since there’s no cars in the lot. I roll down my passenger window take out my camera to take a picture through the lense I’m able to see what looks like a cloaked white hooded figure kneeling down with a lantern. I’m a bit freaked out because whatever I saw has now seen me since the light just stopped moving. I got a couple other pictures. When I got home I realized what I was looking at was not what my brain was processing at the time of snapping the pictures and that whatever it was was possibly not human. some of them turned out very blurry the first one was the best one I got. The last one in the series is weird because it is three red streaks. At first I thought it was a window reflection of tail lights untill I realized once again I had rolled the window down. So please help me explain what it was I saw. I am flipped out.

I feel like this is one area which hasn't been touched on by whistleblowers, doc releases, etc. The nature of consciousness is obviously connected to all this, so what of dreams? What of the soul?

I want to start by saying I love ancient history. It's what I went to school for and is probably my most researched topic in my life (specifically the Greeks, Egyptians, and Romans)

Very often I see posts on this sub that are genuinely good and interesting posts about ancient history that I just feel don't belong here among the other subjects we discuss here. Not only does it seem a little out of left field but I can't help but worry that it gives some people the impression that these things we really do know about ancient history should be met with the same scrutiny that we give to subjects like UFO's, Bigfoot, etc.

I also understand that it is there more to invite the alternate-history narrative of things like ancient aliens, which, does fit with this sub (regardless of how much I personally dislike some of those discussions) I recommend the mods change it to something like "Alternate Histories" or "Unconventional History" What do y'all think?

I’ve been having alien dreams since I was a teen. Most of the time, it’s aliens attacking us. It would always start with me being in a peaceful place overlooking the mountains, then their ships would start appearing in the sky.

But last night, it was something else entirely. There were these huge, human-like creatures, around 8–9 feet tall, eating people and smashing them to pieces. I was trying to survive alongside other people, until someone found a way to get rid of them which was by using a biological weapon, a disease that would make them really sick and eventually kill them or force them to leave.

With how shitty the world has been lately, I honestly hope something like this happens because that dream was such an adventure, and I wasn’t even scared. I was kinda sad when I woke up😅
