Artist Needed [RevShare] or [milestone payment] Established team with live playable prototype Looking for pixel artist for darker theme colony sim inspired by games like Dwarf Fortress, RimWorld, Gnomoria, and Mountaincore.

Hello INAT!

We are looking for a pixel artist to join us on Mountania, a dwarf colony sim inspired by games like Dwarf Fortress, RimWorld, Gnomoria, and Mountaincore.

We already have an established team and a working prototype currently in open playtesting.

We’re looking for an artist who can create both game sprites and UI and help bring everything together into a cohesive art style. We want someone who can help establish the visual direction of the game, not just create individual assets.

We want Mountania to have it's own identity but, Heroes of Hammerwatch II is a reference.

Rev-share is 25% of all net income including any crowdfunding, donations, or merch. The details of how revenue is calculated and paid will be outlined in detail and signed in an official contract before work begins. If you would rather submit bids for milestone payments instead, that is also open to discussion. The main focus would first be UI, then game sprites.

If you’re interested, please comment below or DM me a portfolio/any other info, but you MUST leave any comment bellow even if it's literally just saying hi.

PR/Marketing needed [revshare] MARKETING SPECIALIST - Takedown 16, huge opportunity

Hello! My name is Robert and I operate No More Microtransactions studios and we're looking for the last puzzle piece to our studio - a marketing specialist. I'm sure this job entails you being good at the following (although this isn't my specialty, I've just been FORCED to do marketing myself and I hate it...)

- understanding our niche
- making videos
- taking over all socials and/or making an entirely new brand identity for takedown 16
- you take the lead, I'll believe in whatever you think is best

I can't keep doing the marketing myself, its time to delegate this to someone else with proven experience and wants a shot at staying in game dev space forever (if this game hits we're all in game dev for a good bit, the next game were selling out on some mutliplayer slop, so maybe hopefully forever. thats the goal.)

I have a full studio, sound engineer, programmer, I do 80% of the visual stuff, pixel artist, animator writer blah blah.

We need someone whos dedicated, and wants to grow and has a passion and can see our vision.

Some REALLY GOOD bonus' to consider -

- Just got sponsored by cascaduer (animation software)
- have now collaborated with our 3rd content creator and this one has 950k subscribers on youtube alone
- our animator is from zenimax! (8 years experience, elder scrolls online)

Heres the link below

lets make something HUGE that'll last and will allow us to be in game dev space for the rest of our lives.

Thanks for giving this a read.

BEST,
Robert

Team Needed [RevShare] Hard-surface, environment & character artists, sound designer, composer for a fast fantasy FPS roguelite (UE5)

Project: Project Gauntlet, a fast fantasy FPS roguelite in Unreal Engine 5. Titanfall movement, Doom combat, Balatro upgrades. You're stuck in a gothic dungeon run by the Dungeon Master, a bored, petty cosmic asshole who resurrects you every time you die so he can watch you do it again. Two magic gauntlets: the right one shoots, the left one has a repulsor that throws enemies into walls and off ledges.

Where it's at: Playable prototype since September 2026. I'm doing the gameplay programming myself with help from AI coding tools. Movement (sprint, slide, wall run, double jump, air dash), enemies, magic projectiles, ragdolls and the repulsor all work. Art is mostly placeholder. Goal is a polished 10-15 minute vertical slice to pitch to publishers.

Team: Me (Mike, M88 Studios) on design and gameplay, plus someone helping with narrative. I'm also talking to people about animation and VFX.

Looking for:

  • Hard-surface modeler: the right gauntlet, which reconfigures for each "gun" mode (plates slide, palm opens, quick 0.2-0.5 s transforms)
  • Environment artist: big gothic stone rooms, modular kits a plus
  • Character artist: goblins, monsters, the Dungeon Master
  • Sound designer: heavy, punchy gauntlet and impact sounds
  • Composer: metal mixed with orchestral

Compensation: Rev share, details discussed one-on-one IP: M88 Studios keeps the game and IP. More info: Project Gauntlet: Collaborator Brief Contact: DM me here or on Discord (th3maester). Send a portfolio and the role you want. if you are new to all this, I would still love to work with you.

I'm developing Champions of the Dusk(provisional name) , a Vampire Survivors–style roguelite with a dark fantasy / mythology theme. It's already playable in the browser (desktop and mobile), and I'm looking for people to help take it further.

🎬 Video: https://youtu.be/cgZEujiUwc4

- Gear with 5 rarities, permanent upgrades, a wandering merchant

- 4 languages (EN / ES / FR / PT)

Looking for: Pixel Artist (RevShare)

The playable characters currently use a licensed asset pack, and I want the game to have its own visual identity. I'm looking for someone to create:

- Original characters / champions (32×32, animated)

- Enemies and bosses

- Weapon effects, icons and UI pieces

- Gacha Animation and good designs for future characters.

Style: saturated palette, clean dark outlines, readable at small sizes. A portfolio is required.

Looking for: Playtesters (volunteer)

- Play the current build and report bugs, balance issues and anything that feels off

- Especially useful if you play on mobile or you're a fan of the genre

  1. Composers (I can make something simple in FL Studio Mobile but a few more people wouldn't be extra)

  2. Artist (I have a base for sprites, you can redraw it)

  3. Animator (I have one on the dev server but I need a few more)

  4. Charter (I think I have one on the server but I need a bit more)

  5. Voice Actors (both male, bc mod will have two male characters...and also one VA will be for a pug that will make pug sounds in dialogues, you can use real pug if you have one)

About the engine...idk, I don't really know much about engines, so either it will be V Slice, or Code Name Engine or either Psych Engine (・o・)

About the dev server, link is below (you can DM me in Twitter/Discord but I might forget bc my memory is a bit poor and also discord sometimes not sending notifications that someone DM me, and also I'm lazy but not like "I couldn't open discord", sorry for some grammar mistakes, English is not my first language and I wrote this all without translator)

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for artists (AS2 Club Penguin style) and a few devs for a fan-made CPPS

About the project
I’m building a Club Penguin Private Server (CPPS) using the classic AS2 client, the original Flash-era Club Penguin look and feel. The backend is already up and running and is pretty stable. What I need now is people to help bring the world to life with new content.

What I’m looking for

Artists (main need):

  • Party art: room decorations, themed rooms, and party layouts
  • Clothing and outfits: new items in the classic paper-doll style
  • Custom mascots: original characters who show up at parties
  • Other assets like furniture, pins, backgrounds, and catalog pages

You should be comfortable matching the original AS2-era Club Penguin art style. Experience with vector art, Adobe Animate/Flash, or SWF editing is a big plus.

Developers (a few):

  • ActionScript 2 / Flash client work
  • Server-side help ([your server language/emulator, e.g. Python/Node])
  • General help with features, bug fixes, and getting new content into the game

Content Creator :

  • Create, manage, and post engaging short-form content (Reels and TikTok) to help grow the server’s community, like party previews, new item reveals, behind-the-scenes clips, and gameplay highlights

What I bring

  • A working, stable server already in place
  • I handle the backend and hosting/costs.]
  • A small close team who is motivated to grow this

Compensation
This is a volunteer project. It’s a fan-made server, so it can’t be monetized, and nobody (including me) will be paid. You’ll get full credit for your work and the fun of helping build a CPPS from the ground up.

Interested?
Comment or DM me with:

  • What role you’re interested in
  • A few examples of your work, or a portfolio link
  • How much time you can realistically give

Team Needed [hobby] Need a team, specially 3d artists and 3d animators, for a lookism fan fighting game.

Hi! A little bit about me and the project: I've been working as a developer for quite a while now, and I wanted to start this game just for fun. It's a Lookism (PTJ-verse, actually) fighting game in a Guilty Gear Strive style (3D art, 2D fighting). I actually started planning the whole thing a couple of minutes ago. I've never gone deep into game dev, but I think I can get through the programming part quite "easily" (I can handle it at first).

But I don't have much free time to spend on 3D modeling, rigging, soundtracks, mapmaking and everything else that comes with that.

So, I'm in need of some assistance for this project.

I don't plan to earn any money with this game at first. If it turns out to be good, maybe I can email PTJ and publish the game with them, but I have to warn you that this is not the plan.

Besides that, if needed, I can offer some rewards after long or meaningful jobs, since it will probably take a lot of time, but all out of my own pocket, without expecting anything in return.

I am looking for: 3d Artist, 3d Animator, character Rigger, If someone is up to it a concept artist, enviromental artist for the stages, a composer or soung desinger, idk much about sounds and music, sorry.
The main jobs will be to create the characters based on the manwha, put a base skeleton so we can reutilize the animations on every one of them, then make animations for every attack and combo/ability.

Some details: the engine is Godot, with a cel-shaded look close to the webtoon. Every character uses (i am probably going to change that later on when better planed) 8 attack buttons (light, medium, heavy and special punches and kicks), with stance switching and combos from the first build. The first goal is 8 characters, 2 stages and local PvP (two controllers, or controller + keyboard).

The project RN is only on paper. I plan to make at least a pre-alpha first release demo prototype (yes, I'm being dramatic) with placeholders in the next few days, so feel free to message me or comment down below.

A few warnings: I don't approve of using AI on art (at least on finished work, like generating splash arts with ChatGPT; for models or drafts it's okay if you're used to it). I use AI to code because it's fast, and I can spend more time thinking about the big parts instead of the little nuances. But if I can't find a 3D artist or 3D animator, I'll probably start using some AI model to generate draft models so I can keep going, weeks from now.

If you want more details, please comment or DM me.

Modeler Needed [RevShare] [UK] 3D Character Modeler for tabletop project

Hi there. Im looking for a UK-Based 3D modeler to join me as co-founder for a new company. Our product is one part collectable figurine similar to Funko, one part collectable tabletop game similar to TCGs.

I have a working prototype and some photos available at:

https://www.facebook.com/share/1EFjjLfZpq/

The line is designed around licensing characters, but we may start with original designs as I have done with this prototype.

Looking for a 3D modeller that would be happy taking a licensed character, designing miniatures and bases based on that, while adherring to size constrictions and heroic scale etc.

Any background in 2D Is also welcomed for packaging and marketing etc.

My intent is we bring on a 3rd co-founder at a later date, someone with experience in licensing and mass production. For now, it would be just the two of us.

DM me if you'd like to know more

Team Needed [Paid] Quirky & awkward solo dev looking for a team

Yo! I'm Waldorf! I'm developing for 14 years already (with over 10 short games completed), and I've always worked alone. I made a lot of games for fun (One even went to AGDQ this year), but I started only recently to work on a commercial project. I realized though it's 10x the work. That's why I believe I need help.

Here's the portfolio/games I made: https://waldorf.itch.io
I love making unusual experiences, either unexpected kinds of puzzle game, or story-based adventures that try to put the player under constant stimulus.

I never looked for collaborators since I always want to freely express my ideas into the game. Yeah, I'm the idea guy but the big difference is I that actually make the game. XD
(I hope I don't sound arrogant, I'm actually quite approachable, I swear!)

Before we start, I want to mention I develop on RPG Maker. I know there's a lot of stigma around this engine, but I believe it helps remove a lot of friction in the development process of a solo dev, so I can focus on more important parts of the game. I code a lot so I'm not even sticking with the default system.

I don't have experience in collaborating, and neither in managing a team, but I really really love to develop games, and I unfortunately know that with someone helping me I could do much more.
Since it's a commercial project, of course it can't be for free. But I also don't know how to manage revenue split (which also worries me a little), so we could discuss it or make it paid work.
Though I'd really prefer you were invested in the project, instead of seeing it as just a way to make some money. I'll always keep making more games, so if it goes well I'd love to indefinitely take you in the team for future games.

I'm always open, no topic is taboo for me, so feel free to ask me anything if you're curious. I'm just awkward at answering messages, sometimes.

The project:

It's a remake (half-way between remake and reboot) of my game that went to AGDQ "I'll Invaligate Your Aid". I'd suggest to give the video a watch, since it helps understand my style.
To be fair, it's hard to explain, but it's a meta game with narration, minigames and QTE battles, where the antagonist is aware you're playing and wants to stop you, by remapping your controls, moving your mouse, setting a fake shutdown timer, and other "pranks". Sounds cringe put on paper, but I put every effort to make it have sense.
It's not planned to be long, but I am putting a lot of attention on every feature (and lots of "minigames") to make every section unique. And it takes time.

Here's the Steam page: (trailer has outdated art) https://store.steampowered.com/app/3763070/Ill_Invaligate_Your_Aid_Foreaver/

So, what do I need?

I am programming most of the game's code (minigames, QTE battle, HD resolution, portrait plugin...), writing the story and making scenes. I already commissioned some artist since I suck at art.

I'm doing all of this by myself, but I might appreciate some help with:

  • Writing (mostly dialogues): I value a lot character dialogues and I do my best to make them look genuine, and I always try to avoid plain and filler dialogues. But I realize my writing could be lacking on some parts. (note: the game is unserious, you need to be funny lol)
  • Marketing. I post on Twitter and stream game development on Twitch sometimes, though the numbers are hard to come by, as you probably know.
  • Minigame design. I have a lot of sections with unique minigames, though having to think, tweak and design over 10-12 extra minigames on my own is probably gonna be hard to do right. Plus some economy management to make them work together. Minigames are mostly about making choices/studying your position/managing actions, hardly action-based.
  • An experienced composer for the battle music (I already found a composer, but I was looking for someone more apt with electronic battle music: needing only a bunch of battle themes, I can afford to hire a good one)
  • Just... someone i can confide my rough ideas for any section of the game (gameplay and/or story-wise) and help me refine it.
  • Lots of other small things, I am a little overwhelmed of how many things I have to make on my own, like insert small interactables, exploration puzzles/rewards, think on how to improve the visuals with some effects, the interior design, ecc...

I have this project at heart, so please allow me to be picky. My final goal is not to make money, but to see a lot of people playing and enjoying the game ♥ (And also, to make money to fund the next game XD)
(Note: I don't want the use of generative AI for the game)

Programming Offer [RevShare] [Hobby] Game Designer/ Dev (Programmer) / 3D modeler Looking for Game to Work on (Small scoped)

So, I am somewhat sick of just doing game jams. In the past 6 months, I have done 10 of them, and while they're fun, I'd really like to release something for a portfolio, something that I will have fun working on, be proud of, and want to work on every day. It has been very difficult to find a project that meets those criteria for me, so I am going to try once again to find said project.

I'm a big fan of 3D platformers, hack and slash, movement and twitch based games, fast paced, just cool new innovative ideas with cool unique art. I have designed games that have gotten top 15 in game jams, so I know I could help with game design if needed. I am a software engineer professionally for over a decade, and I can commit serious amount of time towards the game. I am looking for something shorter in scope, longer than a demo but not a damn MMORPG.

I am in EST, and I work weekdays 9-5, so please be considerate of that time. Thank you, and I hope to make something kick ass and fast paced or innovative!

portfolio: DM me for my portfolio, or comment and I'll DM it to you.

Programmers Needed [Hobby] [Unity] Looking to build a team of 8–12 developers/artists for a 3D fantasy RPG where coding and algorithms become magic

Hey everyone!

I'm a software engineer interested in starting an ambitious indie game project, and I'm looking to assemble a team of developers, artists, and designers who might be interested in building it together.

The idea: What if learning algorithms actually made you stronger in an RPG?

I'm envisioning a high-quality, third-person fantasy action RPG inspired by games like Sword Art Online, Minecraft, and other dungeon-crawling RPGs, but with a unique twist: programming and algorithmic thinking are part of the world's magic system.

The game

Imagine exploring a fantasy world with villages, dungeons, dangerous regions, powerful bosses, rare materials, and unlockable magical abilities.

You fight monsters, gather resources, craft weapons, brew potions, learn spells, and progress through increasingly challenging areas.

But instead of unlocking everything through traditional XP grinding, some of your strongest abilities come from understanding programming concepts and algorithms.

For example:

  • During combat: Short, floating code fragments or syntax interactions can enhance spells, trigger special abilities, or counter enemy attacks.
  • While exploring: Small coding and logic challenges help activate mechanisms, unlock hidden rooms, or reveal secrets.
  • When crafting equipment: Medium-length programming challenges allow players to forge more powerful weapons, armor, and potions.
  • When learning spells: Players gradually master real algorithmic patterns like Two Pointers, Sliding Window, Hash Maps, BFS/DFS, and eventually Dynamic Programming.
  • During boss fights: Players must recognize and apply techniques they've learned, combining their knowledge with actual combat skills.

The goal is NOT to interrupt the game constantly with a coding editor.

I want the programming elements to exist naturally inside the world, almost like magical runes or floating spell fragments. Quick interactions during gameplay, with longer challenges reserved for meaningful unlocks and upgrades.

Ideally, someone could spend hours enjoying the RPG while gradually improving their ability to recognize and understand algorithms.

World and progression

I'm considering a hub-based fantasy world with explorable regions, dungeons, and an optional tower/floor progression system inspired by SAO.

Different areas could introduce new concepts, materials, spells, and bosses. Previously learned patterns would remain useful throughout the game, with increasing complexity.

The art direction would be polished, stylized 3D, closer to Fortnite or a colorful fantasy RPG than realistic graphics.

Technical direction

I'm leaning toward:

  • Unity 6 / C#
  • Third-person 3D gameplay
  • Desktop-first release
  • Potential browser version later
  • Modular gameplay, combat, crafting, and algorithm challenge systems

Nothing is set in stone yet, and I'd love input from people with game development experience.

Who I'm looking for

I'd ideally like to bring together 8–12 founding contributors, including around 4–5 programmers, before beginning serious development.

I'm particularly interested in:

  • Unity/C# developers
  • Gameplay and combat programmers
  • 3D environment and character artists
  • Animators and technical artists
  • Game/level designers
  • UI/UX designers

That said, the more the merrier! I'm not treating these numbers as a hard limit. If you're excited about the project and have something to contribute, I'd love to hear from you regardless of your experience level.

I can personally contribute software engineering, architecture, gameplay programming, and project organization. I'm not expecting other people to build the game for me.

Current status

This is still in the concept and recruitment phase. There's no playable prototype yet.

I want to get a group together first, discuss the design, establish a realistic scope, and figure out how to approach development as a team.

The first milestone would be a small but polished playable demo featuring third-person combat, a dungeon, an interactive algorithmic magic system, and a boss encounter.

This is currently an unpaid hobby collaboration, not a funded studio or paid job opportunity. Ownership, contribution rights, and any potential future commercialization would need to be agreed upon before development begins. I'm not promising future payment or revenue share.

I'm hoping to find people who want to collaborate on something interesting, grow their skills, build their portfolios, and potentially create a game that can grow into something much bigger.

Interested?

If this sounds interesting, comment or DM me!

I'd love to know:

  • Your background and what you'd be interested in contributing
  • Any previous game projects or portfolios
  • Your experience with Unity or other game engines
  • How much time you could realistically dedicate

I'd also love feedback from anyone who thinks this could be an interesting game, even if you're not looking to join.

Thanks for reading!

Programmers Needed [RevShare][Hobby] Amateur Pixel Artist Looking for small team to join

I've been programming for 15 years and pixel art for 2 years and I'm burnt out on making decisions on my own projects and I want to help someone build theirs instead. I specialize in 2D pixel art only! Ideally I'd like to help a small team/solo with a semi complete project that lacks the skills in art to bring it to life. I've been in this position myself as a solo programmer and it can be frustrating, and now I have learnt how to draw I'd like to be a part of someone else's game dev journey.

If you think this is you, fell free to reply below or DM me and we'll chat.

Marketing/PR Offer [ForHire] Reputable Indie Studio, offering our Marketing team for other studios/publishers (to survive)

I'm the Creative Marketing Specialist from an indie studio launching our Rhythm game in Q2 of 2027.

Basically we are offering ourselves up for paid work, whether it's freelance, contract or a dedicated role (we don't mind)

In the first month of starting our socials we've pulled in a million views from a few videos, mainly from TikTok and YT so I'd like to say we are more than qualified, given the state of our game and our own experiences. Our upcoming game is "Crown & Applause"

Best way to contact is by leaving a comment and DM.

Artist Needed [Hobby] Game Developer Looking for an Artist & Creative Partner to Make Games Together

About me, I’m a recent Computer Science graduate with a focus on game development, and I’m looking for an artist who’d be interested in teaming up to make games together in order to expand portfolios.

My background is primarily in programming, with experience in Unity, C#, C++, and OpenGL. I’ve worked on several game projects throughout university, including projects using custom technology outside traditional game engines. I’m also currently developing my own game engine in C++.

What I’m looking for

Ideally, I’d like to find someone with experience in 2D or 3D art who shares a passion for making games. But I’m not just looking for someone to create assets based on my instructions.

I’d really like to find a creative partner who has their own ideas, enjoys brainstorming game concepts, and wants to be involved in the design and direction of whatever we make.

I don’t have one specific game idea that I’m trying to recruit someone for. I’d rather we come up with something we’re both excited about and build it together.
I’m open to starting small, experimenting with different ideas, and seeing where things go. The goal would be to eventually create and release games we can both be proud of.

A little more about me

I’m based in Norway (CET/CEST), and while my main strength is programming, I’m interested in all aspects of game development. I’d be handling most of the technical side, but I’d want us both to have a say in the creative decisions.

This would initially be a hobby collaboration, so I’m not expecting anyone to treat it like a full-time commitment.
If this sounds interesting, feel free to message me here or on discord (user: DigitalEngine1) and tell me a little about yourself, your experience, the kind of art you make, and what kinds of games you’d like to create!

Modeler Needed [Hobby] Looking for Teammates for a Brazilian Folklore Soulslike

Hello

I'm developing a personal indie game project: a soulslike with hack-and-slash elements, set in a dark fantasy universe inspired by Brazilian folklore, Indigenous mythologies, and games like Lies of P and Black Myth: Wukong.

The idea is to reinterpret legendary creatures and mythological figures from Brazilian folklore in a decaying world plagued by the corruption of ancient guardians. I'm currently developing the lore, visual direction, character concepts, and initial scope for a playable demo.

I'm not a game developer yet, but I have programming experience and am currently studying Unreal Engine to improve my skills and bring this project to life. I also work in motion design and have experience with animation, skills I intend to apply to the game's presentation and visual effects.

I'm primarily looking for people interested in collaborating on the game's development, especially in 3D character and creature modeling, since that's definitely not my strong suit. However, I'd also love to connect with people interested in gameplay programming, animation, level design, and other areas of game development.

It's important to clarify that this is a personal project and is currently unpaid. I'm not looking to hire freelancers, but rather to find people who want to contribute creatively, share knowledge, exchange ideas, and build something together. The goal is to gradually work toward a playable demo, without requiring full-time commitment or imposing strict professional production deadlines.

The project is still in its early stages, so there's plenty of room for collaborators to contribute ideas and help shape its direction.

PORTFOLIO: This is my first game development project, and I don't have a finished game or a dedicated game development portfolio yet. However, I do have experience in programming and motion design.

P.S.: Since the project is heavily inspired by Brazilian folklore and mythology, I'd prefer to collaborate with other Brazilians, mainly because of their cultural familiarity with the subject matter. However, this isn't a requirement. If you're interested in the project and like the concept, you're more than welcome to join!

If you're interested in dark fantasy, folklore, soulslikes, or simply want to be part of an original indie project, feel free to reach out. I'd love to learn about your skills, interests, and the ideas you'd like to bring to the project.

Artist Needed [Hobby] [RevShare] Needing a 3d modeler/animator for Godot robot fighting game

I'm needing a 3d modeler/animator for my game that I'm building. Basically the concept is done, I just need someone to make each robot part and bring them to life. Basically it's an auto turn based fighting. I have the mechanics working in a very basic manor of speaking, an admin portal site I made to upload the parts and the godot scripts to make it easy. But making robot parts uniform enough to get them to connect and be interchangeable is beyond my abilities.

If you visit pietinlabs.com you will see screenshots of the game and my prior game Orravane: Reclamation. But if someone thinks they could do this project I would be willing to pay them out of the profit share until they are reimbursed double what a fair wage would be. We could make a contract up and 50% of the profits would go towards paying wages until said person is paid. The rest needs to keep going to make the server payments. The game is also available on the google play store as early access if you want to download it and try it before agreeing.

I will be honest, I have no track record yet and I just started this business this year making these games. But I am trying to give it an honest go. I work full time as well, so this is more of a hobby currently, but might become more later. I plan to move to steam games eventually.

Message me here if interested and I'll give you my email and we can go from there.
