We received a really great idea from u/heavymetalsculpture for a new sticky thread- Review Requests. We have a very large userbase here who have all tried LOADS of knives, so why not crowdsource reviews and feedback for a knife you might be interested in buying! A lot of youtubers / instagram pages, while attempting to be unbiased, often have some bias because they're getting samples for free etc. People on here are very unlikely to have that bias and are more likely to provide honest feedback on a knife.
This thread will remain stickied and fairly moderated- top level comments will only be permitted to be requests for reviews and feedback for certain knives, and users who have actually owned / handled the knife are greatly encourage to provide absolutely honest feedback on the knife in question.
Please only post here with requests for reviews, or to provide feedback on top level comments with a review of the knife in question!

I was really interested in seeing the Vanchor lock on the recent EMP edc Nymble. But I wasn’t able to snag one. I picked this up because I wanted the Vanchor. I wanted all the different deployments in the front and rear flipper and hole. Generally I prefer a reverse tanto over a tanto. So this fits me more for that. Kind of surprised by how light it is considering its size and materials.
I don’t know how Vosteed is heat treating this M390. Steel hardness lab only had one entry from this steel at Vosteed on a different model and it tested at 59. If that’s the case here, I think that’s a bit of a bummer. I’d like to see 61-63 or so. I thought that M390 could go 62-64 without issue. I’d love for this to have crazy edge retention. If this is at sub 60, I don’t know if it gets there.
Hopefully steel hardness lab gets to look at more M390 samples from Vosteed. Honestly, seems like Vosteed across the board is a little lower than I’d like on their common steels.
All in all I’m a big fan of the knife so far.

Key takeaways:
• smooth action / solid lockup (Hawk Lock)
• bigger than expected
• unobtrusive flipper
• Hawk Lock interface hast plenty of traction
• SHE THICK
• no price as of now
• they should be available for purchase before end of year
Uploaded a short video going over some of the details on YouTube if you’re interested

Well folks, she went ahead and married a knife nerd. Our finances will now together bear the weight of this crushing hobby. 🫡

This build is complete and is probably in my top 3 favorites. Elmax PM2, Flytanium Lotus Basket Weave CF scales, RGT anodized hardware, and an anodized MXG Manix 2 short clip.

Wanted to spark some discussion on an adjective that I've seen used to describe a knife that they don't like; the word is good, but it seems a bit arbitrary. What qualifies a knife as "soulless" to you?

GEC TC Barlow in Mexican blanket micarta and
TRM Atom with green stripe micarta.
I really noticed how nice a blade finish TRM does in this photo. Their knives are very straightforward but they nail all the details. Some of my favorite moderns for sure.

Was supposed to be a stocking stuffer for my wife... but this may be going into MY collection, lol.

Any fans of Andrey Grigorev knives here? IMO he crushes the minimalist cyberpunk aesthetic.

Been a while since I bought a Chinese knife but i have nothing like it in the collection. It's rocking a convex, zero bevel blade of FDP189.
