Got my first CRK on the secondary market. Like most collectors and enthusiasts in this hobby ive drooled over them as unobtanium masterpieces for years but to actually hold and own one has that "I've finally made it" feeling of relief. Thanks to the seller for listing this knife for a really good price and for actually knowing how to sharpen a tanto (and for putting a damn sharp edge on it) if you see this. Purchased on bladebinge Oct 22nd

1 of 1. Dual liner-lock w/ a chisel-ground edge that came putty-whittling-sharp. Love the new spatula blade shape as well. Great ting, like all Winters. Went with the black g12 scales and toolbox-tumbled finish. 👌 650 obo. No lowballs, I know what I have here.thx.

Question How much of a beating can OTF knives take ?
Have a Benchmade PHAETON and always wondering how hard I could be on it …. Holds up well so far.
Love the action on it… fun and little scary. Lol.
Side note - bought it when they were ~$350 USD some few years ago. Now they’re $450 and that feels steep, but whatever…

Question What is this?
I was given this as a gift. There was no box or papers. Any chance anyone recognizes the brand?
Thanks in advance!

Question New to the hobby. Advice? Am I actually buying what I should be buying?
I’m primarily a watch guy but watches and EDC have huge overlap so I kind of got into knives by default. First knife I got was a kizer little ringbo and that thing is a work horse, it’s taken a lot of abuse and hard falls on concrete and is still kicking. The factory edge wasn’t the best and wouldn’t cut paper, but I picked up a lanksey and a pull through sharpener and it has became very sharp. I just got successfully marketed to over on TikTok and ended up grabbing a TikTok exclusive limited edition madrac. I ended up with #22/100 but I don’t plan on treating this knife like a limited edition. I think it’s in a sweet spot for me for size and the sheep’s foot blade is stunning. Also whatever treatment they put on the blade gives it a nice texture and aesthetically matched the lunar handle perfectly, and this one came with an exponentially sharper factory edge. As I’m just getting into this do you guys have any advice? Is kizer a brand worth buying? Thoughts on the madrac? Thoughts on its clutch lock? I think I prefer the button lock of the ringbo but that just might be familiarity bias. Anything I should avoid? What would’ve been helpful to you when you were starting out?

Question Neighbor gave me a MK3 MOD 0 knife
Neighbor gave me her late husband's knife. He was an Air Force veteran. If this has actual value I'll compensate her... Google says it's worth around $100. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Showcase Monday Carry Check
Brought the REK 940 Osbourne reblade out today, this thing is a lightweight beast. Absolutely love it, I think it’s about time for a scale upgrade though. What is everyone else carrying today?

Discussion The Civivi Elementum is a perfect, delicate EDC.
I did some rock tumbling for the clip and bolts and Scotch-Brited the scales to make them matte. It fits my needs perfectly. I do electronics, automation, and office dwelling.
Is there anything else worth checking to add to the collection that would have a 60-75mm (2.5-3") blade and weigh under 75g (2.75oz)? Something sleek, with no tactical edginess.
I also hate thumb studs.

NKD! Groomsmen men gifts
I'm getting married Saturday and we obviously have a theme. The bride and bridal party will have Scream masks and plastic Bucks, but my boys know I wouldn't give them a fake blade. I went with the Tramontina 18" bush machete, I know at least a few of them will see real use.

Showcase NCD NSD NBCD
Finally done with this build, first time customizing any of my spyderco's more than just a clip.
Originally this was a Onkata exclusive DLC Cruwear with the full liners and green g10 scales.
AWT aggressive agent (linerless) scales- Blue titanium color
AWT spyderco clip cerakote Tequila Sunrise color
Flytanium Copper ball cage.
super pleased with this build, can't recommend these scales enough. So light and comfortable. The edges are so soft it feels great in the hand, and the texturing is great just enough feels really good.

OKD (Old Knife Day) Inherited Seal Dressing Knife(didn't have banana, silver dollar for scale)
Inherited from my father who was a big knife enthusiast/collector. Always told us it was a Seal Skinnin' knife with a whale bone handle. Unsure if any of that had any validity. Pics with details in comments. Seems it may have been inscribed with initials. Any info or insight would be more than welcome

Showcase Mid 20th century multitool kit
Found in my late grandfathers stuff. Stainless steel, made in Japan. The Phillips driver acts as a lever that locks each tool head in place. No clue how old but I see listing of similar vintage tool sets listed from the 50s, 60s, and 70s and my step-dad recalls seeing these advertised since he was a boy in the 60s and 70s.

Question Wardlow Cutlery Co.
I was hoping someone could give me insight into when this knife was made and what this style was called. I looked it up with google lens to limited success. Any information is appreciated!
NKD! Non-serrated Conduit!
I should not be allowed to go into stores that sell guns, knives, or ammo. I have low self-control and usually a little cash on hand.
Last week I bought a serrated Conduit because they didn’t have a straight edge. Then today, they had the straight edge. I love me a fun little flipper.

NKD! NKD and New Sharpener Day
Well not all today but the last three days.
The Sharpal is pretty nice. I have a cheaper sharpener with a similar idea but much harder to set up and have never gotten such a good edge so quickly.
