Camp San Mateo - Some time after we got back from overseas in Aug '91 a few of us E3s were kicking it in my barracks room in the flat-tops, it was a weekday afternoon after chow. Three Marines showed up at the hatch, I don't remember their ranks (not SNCOs) but they all outranked us. No badges, no brassards, just three dudes in salty cammies. One of them asked who's room it was, I raised my hand.

Two stayed in the hall, one came in and grabbed a chair. He moved it to about the middle of the room and stood on it. He pushed a ceiling panel up, retrieved a lock box from the overhead, got down, walked the Hell out without another word and he and his buddies left.

We sat there looking at each other like idiots for a bit, then I got up and went outside to see where they went but they were nowhere to be seen.

It was one of those standard grey lock boxes, like you'd keep petty cash in or something, and to this day it bugs me wondering what was in it.

As the title says, I have not received my enlistment bonus. I shipped out April 1st with a $10k 0311 sign on bonus, went through boot, itb no problem. I've been with my unit for a year, I've talked to S-1 and the career planner and keep getting told it's a hqmc issue as they haven't gotten to my case. Is there anybody I can contact because im honestly running out of hope and patience and I honestly just think I got fucked over and there's no money for me

Me and my boy have been in our unit for almost 3 years now. Deployed in it and everything. The new boots just don’t know what barracks parties are and it shows I haven’t seen one in months. So we’re throwing one, how bad of a idea is it with current marine corps rules

I checked if there was an MCRDSD equivalent of this, like arriving via the Pacific SurfLiner or some shit. and theres none. but I do remember train tracks at MCRDSD though-- behind those warehouses.

I’m about to two years into my contract in a flight status role but find myself struggling a lot, I have a lot of symptoms that sometimes heavily impact my performance and am questioning what the outcome would be if I got evaluated for ADHD? Where I would even begin the process to start getting seen for it or if I’d be able to fly anymore.

So unfortunatly haven't had any luck so far. I need to go through 1/6 command and camp lejuene command to get something perimeter installed. Im cilvian so I dont know how to do that. Is there anybody that may be able to help me do this because before i start funding this and getting money I want to make sure its even possible to get something like this installed. My elderly neighbor, USMCR 0311 1956-1961 (approx), passed away last weekend. I helped the family to arrange a USMC burial detail for the funeral next week, but today the family told me they don’t have a single picture of him in uniform. They know it’s a long shot but they’d like one for the funeral, and in the highly-likely case that can’t be done they’d like one whenever one can be found. The only picture of him I know for sure would exist is his boot camp yearbook photo. He apparently went to boot at MCRD SD in June of 56, and I think basic was eight weeks at the time, so I think he graduated in August/September 56. Does anyone know of a resource or database where I can find that picture? Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide.
