90k [Complete] [98k] [Upmarket Thriller] Beta Readers Wanted for The Corridors of Hadrian
Hi! I’m Echo Svenningsson, a European writer looking for 5–7 beta readers for my completed supernatural thriller.
After interrupting a ritual in a New York museum, conservator Emma Voss begins to produce a strange golden light. With engineer Miles Ashford, she investigates a collector who appears unchanged across decades—and connections between museum acquisitions, philanthropic funding and adoption records.
I’d love to hear where the story draws you in, confuses you or loses you, and whether the characters and their choices feel believable. I’d especially welcome American readers’ impressions of the language and setting, as well as perspectives on adoption, New York, cultural institutions and ancient Rome. None of these is a requirement.
I’m hoping for feedback before Christmas 2026, but there’s no firm deadline. Questions and reactions along the way are welcome. If you stop reading, I’d be grateful to know where and, if you’re comfortable saying, why.
I plan to email a short overview and a reader copy in PDF or EPUB individually. Please comment or message me if interested; we can exchange email addresses privately. I’m not expecting a critique swap, but can of course be convinced to help out if someone wants my opinion. :)
Content notes: Adoption and sibling separation, consent violations, bereavement, depression, supernatural threat and memory loss.
