Currently 100k kms on stock suspension, I’m looking at lowering my post facelift base BRZ by 25mm
Initially I want to get coilover like tein flex z to do so, then I realised it is illegal to install adjustable coilover where I live.
So now I got a set of Eibach Pro Kit springs. Based on the review online it sounds like exactly what I’m after. My question is what to do with the struts
If I keep the existing stock strut, given the mileage I feel like they will get destroyed soon by the lowering spring
I heard good things about koni and bilstein, but they are out of my budget.
Also considered second hand low mileage sachs or stock. This comes with the risk of dishonest seller.
I’m leaning towards getting new KYB Excel-G or Tein Endurapro+ struts to pair with the Eibach spring. But I don’t know how to pick between the two, and i wonder if anyone has experience with these structs with lowering spring. Or are there other suggestion.
I am lowering to kill the wheel gap. I quite like how the stock suspension rides and will be happy if the ride feel remains close to stock. The car will be mainly street use.
