Bought a new phone recently and sometimes it just blacks out with the icon as if it's powering off, and then turns back on, with the apps still open. What do i do?

TL;DR How do I keep shared calendars from turning themselves back on in the iOS Calendar app?

I have Outlook 365 at work (exchange acct) and have shared that account to my personal iPhone 17 Pro with only my calendar turned on so that I can see work obligations in one place with my personal calendar.

In Outlook, everyone on my team has shared their calendars with each other. These calendars show up in the iOS Calendar app as expected. I have un-checked all of them and turned off the option to have their events block my availability.

However, periodically one of these shared calendars will randomly turn itself back on and start showing notifications. I go back and turn it off again and it stays off for a while, but today I had two different ones do this a few hours apart.

Has anyone else run into this? How did you solve it?

I'm trying to add emergency contacts to my Medical ID. Seems easy enough

However, my wife has multiple phone numbers: her cell phone and her work phone. She gets bad cell service at work, so I wanted to add her work phone as a number as well. However, it seems like you can only select ONE number for an emergency contact.

I was wondering if am missing something or if the workaround is to create a separate contact for her other number?

I bought an iPhone 13 Pro Max with a cracked back, but all its functions seem to be working normally. WhatsApp audio messages, videos, voice recordings, and calls on speakerphone all work fine. However, when I make a call while holding the phone to my ear, my voice becomes very quiet, then cuts out completely, and subsequently returns to normal—it keeps fluctuating. I would like to know if this issue could be related to a drop the device may have sustained, and what might be causing it.

I can’t update my iPhone. Every time I sign in with my password or even click forgot password to change it, it says an unknown error occurred. The same occurs when I try to sign into iCloud. as such, I can’t update any apps because this is also something I need to sign in for in order to be able to do.

I’ve just scanned a car manual on my phone into PDF through the PDF scan tool in the iPhone files app. 800 pages! As it has a limit of 24 scans per file I’ve broken it into 23 groups of 20 or so pages. I need to merge these files all together into one file. When I select them and then press create PDF it just glitches and does nothing as the file is so big. I was able to get them into one document by selecting all and sharing to print and then sharing again to create a PDF which was a smaller file size like I need, BUT!! When I share to print they all go out of order. Page 1 becomes like page 230 which is useless to me. Any ideas how I can merge multiple PDFs into one and keep the pages in order. Thank you!!

I check my spouses location periodically (yes they are aware and we both choose to have location shared). I usually check it from messages and it would show drive time. Lately its started showing walking time which is not helpful when they are hours of driving away. Find my still shows drive time. Is there a way I can change this or is this apple assuming i want walking or driving based on how I check ?

iPhone 18 pro on i0S 27.0.1. Every night at midnight the phone sounds a full screen alarm at midnight despite having (1) no active Clock alarms, (2) entire Sleep Schedule disabled, including the toggles in Health (3) no alarm apps or shortcut automations, (4) close review of notifications, and sounds turned off, (5) close review of calendar events, sounds turned off. I have also deleted all other alarms, restarted phone, prayed to my gods, etc.

The only thing left seems to be a full wipe and fresh install app by app, I'd like to avoid that. Grateful for any assistance.

Is there a way to connect my headphones to my Iphone and use the head phones for audio but i use the mic on my iPhone instead of my headphones.
So that when i call someone the audio stays in the headphones but the mic being used is my phones mic instead of the headphones ?

A few weeks ago my iPhone (13 Mini) randomly completely wiped all my events from my calendar. I barely found anything about this while researching. Everything I tried did not work and eventually I gave up.

Today the same thing happened with my contacts! Completely wiped!! All gone.
Again I tried to load backups and all. Checked other accounts that I had connected and reconnected them. Nothing.

I do have to note that I have only little storage left. (1-5GB)

Anyway, I just wanted to make this post because I somehow find almost no one with the same problem. Is this a known issue? I don’t get how this can happen and you find almost nothing about it.

I have a habit when I’m mindlessly scrolling – usually TikTok – to text interesting posts to myself so I have them to go back and research/reference later. AKA I have a shit ton of TikTok links sent to myself. 😆 I’d like to be able to export them all, put them into a spreadsheet, so I can watch them again and file them in certain categories so I can search for them if and when needed in the future. I get it, I’m a neurotic weirdo, but at least I love myself. ☺️ Point is I can’t manually pull them off my phone by connecting directly to my laptop. I found one service that will let you do it 10 at a time, but it also costs each time. Are there any options via an app, a website, or even a workaround I can do old school to pull all of those text messages into one file? I don’t even care if I get two of each, the sent and the received. That I can handle, I just want them in a file I can organize.

I’m looking for genuine advice from people who have experienced similar issues with Apple or have successfully escalated a warranty dispute in India.

What happened:

My iPhone 17’s rear camera suddenly developed severe blue/purple vertical lines. The 0.5x camera still works normally, but the 1x and 2x cameras are severely affected.

I did not knowingly expose my phone to a laser, and I have not knowingly subjected it to any incident that would explain this failure.

Apple’s response:

An Apple Authorized Service Provider attributed the problem to “laser damage” and denied warranty service. I disputed the conclusion and repeatedly requested a clear, case-specific technical explanation.

Despite contacting Apple Support and escalating the matter to its senior escalation team, I have not received a detailed diagnostic report or a satisfactory explanation of the evidence behind the decision.

Apple has now stated in writing that the people I have already contacted are authorized to handle my concerns and that there is no further escalation point that will handle the matter differently.

Why I’m concerned:

I understand that genuine external damage may not be covered by a manufacturer’s warranty. My concern is that the diagnosis has not been adequately explained to me, despite repeated requests.

I also spoke to a representative at a major electronics retailer who told me they had encountered similar camera complaints involving the iPhone 17. I cannot independently verify how widespread this issue is, and I am not claiming that a manufacturing defect has been established. However, I would like to know whether other owners have experienced similar symptoms and how their cases were handled.

My questions for the community:

1. Has anyone in India experienced similar blue/purple lines on an iPhone 17 camera and been told it was laser damage?
2. Were you given a written diagnostic report or technical evidence explaining the conclusion?
3. Has anyone successfully obtained a warranty reconsideration or goodwill repair in a similar situation?
4. What practical options should I consider next in India, including consumer grievance channels?

I have kept the relevant emails and camera photographs and can share redacted evidence if helpful.

I am not asking anyone to attack Apple or its employees. I am looking for informed advice, similar experiences, and a fair way to get this matter reviewed.

My iphone 16 pro max on ios 27 has been affected with some sort of glitch that is causing my screen to stop working and the dynamic island gets affected with phantom touches which leads to a lot of annoyance and inability to get any work done. Any iphone gurus out there please help a brother out

my iphone 17 pro IOS 26.5.2 takes unbelievably disappointing pictures. i wouldve thought with these THREE cameras the quality would be amazing but all my photos, especially zoomed in, are incredibly grainy, unfocused, and so unappealing to look at. ive hated nearly every photo ive taken recently which is so disappointing because im always snapping pictures of nature and things.

i included pictures for reference. pls dont tell me i have too high of standards because i noticed people in front of me at that concert with older versions of iphones and their pictures/videos looked pHENOMENAL. similarly, my dad’s phone is older and his pictures look like theyre shot on a professional camera. mine look like they were taken on like snapchat and saved to my camera roll. they look so bad and im starting to get rlly angry about it.

i also noticed that the lives of these pictures looks amazing and then when the live ends, the still of the photo looks horrible again.

is this a user error? is it something in the settings to change?

It’s really weird and I don’t know how to fix it. I will get notification like the ones above “# iMessage” but it’s a number that I have a contact saved for. Like my mom will text me and it’ll say her phone number not her contact name. Once I click on the notification nothing appears. She will text me, but it won’t show up on my phone. It gives me a notification that I received a message but it won’t display the message. It’s been happening for 2-3 weeks. I went to my phone carrier, AT&T, and they couldn’t do anything. It’s extremely frustrating. I have had my iPhone 16 pro for one year. Someone please have a solution or recommendation on how to address the issue.

Hi all! I’ve had my iphone 16 pro max for just over a year now and I’ve noticed a weird “burn in“ like effect on my screen. Not sure what’s going on. I thought it might initially be caused by fingerprints/oily fingers but it‘s still there after cleaning. Any help? ☺️

I have 2 automatics that turn on/off reduce white point on 22:00 and 7:00. After update to iOS 27 I can’t turn it manually. Sometimes it works, but not always. Do you have this bug?

For quite a while now, my notifications have come through with a black background. I have to specify that I want it like that. My iPhone 16 did a software update last night, and now they’ve all become like transparent stuff. I have tried reducing contrast, increase contrast, dark mode, and putting the full tint on the Liquid Glass thing. Nothings working. Anyone have any suggestions?

Edit: IPhone 16, iOS version 27.0.1. Does anyone know how to revert the background color of the notifications?
