What's happening at Costco?
It's super crowded today more than usual. I couldn't find a parking spot anywhere for quite a while...
An ambulance showed up as well!

—Thanks to those answering honestly. I live in BC, been through many fire seasons but never saw this. It’s pretty great. Thanks also to the a-holes commenting mean stuff, you make me laugh.—
Drove Hwy 33 south and saw many driveways have a white water tank, steel framed, with buckets attached. What’s up?

I am looking to relocate to Kelowna and buy a house. I have found older homes with 1-2 bedroom basement suites in the $ 750-850k range. Plan would be to live there as my primary residence and either do short-term rentals for the suite or even possibly live in the suite myself and rent the upstairs either short-term or long-term. Has anyone had any luck with this in Kelowna? Are there strong rents that make it worthwhile? Is Airbnb or other platforms a good option to increase revenue via short-term rentals ? I currently rent in Vancouver and own a contracting business here, however I am not interested in staying long term in Vancouver and prefer the Okanagan lifestyle.

Have you noticed that since Dynacare took over from Valley Medical Lab things have gone terribly wrong?
It takes hours to get a simple blood test. Seniors waiting outside in the dark in their walkers at 7am so they can wait at least an hour (but not hours) to get blood drawn.
It’s a big problem. If you have gone to a lab recently you’ll know what I’m talking about.
I was wondering why things got so bad and thought maybe it was population increase? No, this isn’t the reason. It’s because dynacare is a private company and they aren’t paying their staff enough and they’re understaffed. They are a shitty corporation who does not care about our wait times.
What can we do?

I have a 13 year old, they want to exercise and become strong, I know there are fitness classes for adults but do we have any options for younger kids?
Thanks!
