Roxon Flex Go and Storm V2 live

TL;DR:

  • Flex Go does not need modding, unless you're really partial to SAK-style tweezers and toothpick. Personally it's a miss; they should've gone with slots that will fit the SAK tools. If I do get one I'd probably make scales that can accommodate the whole suite of Plus Scale tools
  • the Storm V2 team probably had a boozehound. **That's** the proper corkscrew in the year of our lord 2026. Overkill? Maybe. I see the corkscrew lever as a personalization/branding area
  • in the livestream chat the Flex Go pricing is supposedly USD69 (noice). I hope they come up with SKUs for lefties

More details will pop out soon as this gets in the hands of the general public. Personally I'm glad I didn't get the Flex Companion Mini; I'd probably wait for more scale colors or the AliExpress CNY sale, but if there's one thing Roxon is doing well it's making an ecosystem, and in turn stretching our money further.

Review When your wife gives you some free time and you find your leatherman less fluid (after a return from the after-sales service

A small overview of how a leatherman garage 75 is mounted and Certainly with a similar assembly to the free p4.

I started dismantling it after it came back from the after-sales service, finding it less fluid than when I had sent it to replace the punch that I had damaged.

The assembly is quite ingenious with only 3 screws and a magnet that hold everything together with the two springs and the part to unlock.

Small downside, the screws were assembled with threadlocker very difficult to disassemble and the tool was not cleaned even though they had to disassemble it...

Recommendation Request Spirit or ARC?

Post image

I can get a new ARC for about the same price as a Victorinox Spirit MX. I like the blade, and interchangeable bits on the ARC, and the chisel tool, auger, pliers on the Spirit. So.. for the same price, which would suit me best for a general, DIY around the house and occasional hikes?

Y'all know what looks similar?

The plier heads of Nextool's new-gen tools. Now I'm wondering - can I transplant the W20 Pro's handle that has the file and 4mm bit onto the F20 without any impact on functionality? I'm fine with extra girth and a slightly mismatched look if I gain a file and don't need to bother with yet another bit kit.

Added another bit driver and a 711L ratchet. Just enough room for the mini flex companions blade to sit under the top of the ratchet

Pretty chunky! It’s not too noticeable in the pocket though.

Multitool for a carpenter

Hey guys, quick question! I’ve tried searching through different resources, but I’m curious what y’all think.
The Milwaukee Fastback is what originally got me interested into a knife + (if that makes since).
Unfortunately, I’m seeing most multitool knives are geared more toward camping and outdoor use.
What would y’all recommend for a carpenter who primarily does remodels and general construction?
I’ve loved having a Phillips head on my knife, and I also love having a flathead, mainly to use as a small pry bar, (although I tend to snap them). I really like the idea of having a set of pliers built into my knife as well.
What I don’t care for is all the gimmicky stuff, like a tiny one-inch pair of scissors and tools I’d never actually use.
I’m looking for something practical that’s practical around carpentry and construction work. (Small chisel or pry bar, Phillips etc) Y’all have any recommendations?

Mini Flagship f12

I really like the size and scissors and knife and on it. I tried my friends and I really liked it. Is there anything else to consider I am willing to spend more I am just wondering if there is anything that has scissors that are that good at this size with a good blade? If not I am just gonna buy a mini flagship f12. I want to keep it on my keychain.

New Multitool Day! 5 dollar snag from an "antique" store

its nice, i think the quality is okay but i'm simply not experienced enough to know. the blade was sharp and some parts like the screwdriver and awl have seen a good amount of use.

would really appreciate some advice on what to do regarding washer replacements and the bolts? rivets? holding the tools together since they get stiff every now and then and i have to rotate a smaller tool to sort of coax it into loosening up the other tools

I just got it on Saturday. I did use it some and I really like this multi tool. I like the smoothness. The easy access to the tools and I’m especially fond of the 1/4 bit driver. I have big hands and this tool suits me well with easy access to the different features. Definitely interested in other SOG tools in the future.

I have a CROM rachet, and while the bits actually fit perfectly through the rachet itself the extender is too shallow fo fit any of them, any ideas of anything compatible with this style?

Question/Advice What is your biggest annoyance with standard multi-tool sheath/pocket clips?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been looking at a lot of sheaths and pocket clips for gear lately. A lot of them seem to clip awkwardly, bend out of shape, or rattle around when walking.

For those of you who carry a multi-tool or pocket gear daily: what is the single most annoying thing about your current setup, holster, or clip? What feature do you wish existed?
