TGscope tracks public Telegram channels, about 3 million of them, and Burmese stands out on almost every measure.
It's the most active language. 70.5% of Burmese channels posted something in the last month, more than any other big language. Russian is at 56%, English at 41%.
It's also the most copied. 45% of Burmese posts appear word for word in at least one other channel. For English it's 10%, for Russian 9%.
A lot of channels are sold together. 26.5% of Burmese channels with 10k+ subscribers list the same ad contact as at least four other channels, again the highest of any language.
But readers don't see much of it. A typical post in a Burmese channel with 10k to 100k subscribers is seen by about 3% of subscribers, the lowest of the 11 languages measured. About 40% of those channels reach fewer than 1 in 50 subscribers.
A couple more numbers: Burmese has as many channels with 10k+ subscribers as French (about 1,650), and the most common topics are humour (47%) and film and TV (37%).
Does this match what you see? My guess is lots of movie and meme channels reposting the same stuff
