Just a reminder, Woody Johnson was named in the Epstein files
Just wanna make sure this is common knowledge.
Any good coach with half a brain would never work for a guy like Woody, so this factoid may be our only legit hope to escape the misery. After he fires Glenn, he will be replaced by someone else who sucks. Then he’ll can Mougey in 2 years, and the cycle continues.
Woody def gives billionaire nepo baby pedophile vibes. Just sayin.

Just to break up the negativity - Omar Cooper, only the 2nd Jets rookie ever to record consecutive 100 yard receiving games
Al Toon was the first in 1985.
I agree with most of the negativity. But I was skeptical of Cooper pick, but really impressive

[Schefter] Oregon coach Dan Lanning announces that star quarterback Dante Moore is not expected to play the rest of the season. He hasn’t played since suffering a concussion against USC on Sept. 26. Moore returned to Oregon for 2026 after projecting as a top pick in the NFL Draft.

Every year, I watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!"
At the end of the special, Linus laments another missed holiday, time wasted waiting for the mythical Great Pumpkin. Charlie Brown consoles him, telling Linus that he, too, has made stupid mistakes in his life. An enraged Linus argues that no, this wasn't stupid, and all the time wasted will be worth it next year, when the Great Pumpkin finally arrives. Linus takes solace in the fact that next time, he will be proven right. Everyone else will see that the hours spent out in the cold missing tricks or treats were not wasted moments, but time investments that will eventually pay dividends. It is at this moment that we realize Linus will never learn. He is damned to sit in that pumpkin patch forever, shackled by his stubbornness and pride, determined to be present for the arrival of a Great Pumpkin who will never come. Linus is a cartoon. It is impossible to know how a real life Linus would act outside of a Peanuts comic strip or holiday special, thrust into the real world, living in Modern America. But friends, I can tell you one thing conclusively.
Linus would fit right in as a fan of the New York fucking Jets.

Rosenblatt: On the two minute decision-making, Aaron Glenn said if the Jets called timeout and then the Dolphins got a first down they could run the clock out.

Mods, can we get GIFs enabled in comments?
With how the season is going, it’d be nice to at least have GIFs enabled in the comments. Most other team subs seem to have this feature enabled, but for some reason ours doesn’t.
Any chance we can get this enabled?

Remember when the Jets let Mike Maccagnan run a draft and then fired him?
We're wading into the same territory here. After yesterday, Glenn's gotta go. He can't be allowed to pick the next QB. I don't know who should make that choice but I know for sure that it's anyone other than Aaron Glenn

[Gotham Breakdown] What does the film show?
I would take Sean McDermott over Mike Tomlin heres why...
I think McDermott is the better option than Tomlin. Mcdermott inherited a mess of a team with a 17 year long playoff drought and turned them into a playoff team with Tyrod Taylor. Mcdermott also has been able to find offensive coordinators. Mcdermott also located a QB.
Tomlin inherited a team a year removed from the playoffs and a few years removed from the Super Bowl. Tomlin inherited a QB in Roethlisberger and never found another. Tomlin inherited a solid defensive coordinator in Dick Lebeau. Steelers declined overall from when Tomlin took over which was there peak very early on to.
Lastly no head coach in NFL history has won a Super Bowl with 2 different teams while many have won a Super Bowl on there second stint. So from that view Mcdermott has slightly better odds. The last issue with Tomlin is how will he handle the coaching searches? Does he want to come back? Will he be very picky? Will he wait to see what teams lose in the playoffs to see what opens? Its possible the Jets lose out on other candidates chasing Tomlin which would highly likely not be an issue with Mcdermott if the Jets wanted him, especially because he would be returning to the division he already knows.
However with all this said I would take Tomlin day one if he wants to come here so im for Tomlin but the more I consider everything I think it makes way more sense for the Jets to just lock down Mcdermott which they can technically do right now if they really wanted to. He has turned a team around and has proven he can do it. He also has had time to figure out what went wrong the same way Andy Reid has issues in Philly but then got over the hump on his second team (Of course Mahomes was found but they were winning games with Alex Smith before that). I do get that he has come up short in the playoffs despite having Allen but also Allen has been messy in the postseason just as much.

All Old Heads Were Rooting For Glenn But Its Time To Admit Some Things
Every JETS fan who saw 31 dominate his spot from the day he showed up from Texas A&M wanted him to do well.
Glenn is a serious football player...like one notch below HOF candidate...but that does not always translate into head coaching ability. It does not always translate in the broadcast booth either, yet players are still greased into both positions.
Its time to look towards the future. Both our tackles have regressed, our OL is not that good at all.
We have those three first round draft picks. Im in the minority saying please dont pick a QB with one of them. We been there before and we are terrible at it. Pick three defensive players...let the arguing begin.

Has anyone else lost interest in football over the years?
I just don't care anymore. I'm so tired of watching the Jets lose that I don't want to watch football anymore.

[Rosenblatt] After embarrassing loss to Dolphins, it’s hard to believe Aaron Glenn will fix the Jets
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Demario Davis quickly showered and then sat at his locker, wrapped in a towel. He held an open Gatorade bottle in his right hand and stared ahead into the middle distance as his teammates quietly dressed and packed up lockers all around him.
Davis says that he does this after every game — he reflects — but he lingered longer this time. When the New York Jets lose, he asks himself questions. What things could I have done better? What could we have done better? What went wrong?
Maybe that’s why Davis lingered so long on Sunday afternoon, in the wake of a 28-25 loss to a Miami Dolphins team that was not only 0-5 before Sunday, but had not held a lead at any point this season until Sunday. Davis’ list of reasons why he rejoined the Jets this offseason started with Aaron Glenn. Davis signed a two-year deal. Considering what unfolded Sunday, will Glenn be his coach in a year?
Nobody would say it Sunday — few outside Davis and Glenn had a whole lot to say anyway — but any explanation of how the Jets are in this mess, 2-5 with another season on the verge of slipping away, starts with Glenn.
Glenn was not charged with meeting any particular barometers by owner Woody Johnson this offseason to keep his job, it was more about the context of the season. The playoffs weren’t the expectation. There wasn’t a target win total he had to hit. But the Jets needed to show significant signs of progress after Glenn’s dreadful 3-14 debut in 2025. He fired half of his coaching staff, took over defensive play calling and infused the roster with both stable veteran leadership and young talent. And so the goal this year was for Glenn to show progress: beat the teams he’s supposed to beat, compete against the ones he’s not and get through a 17-game schedule without succumbing to the kind of embarrassment that usually plagues the franchise.

All 22 vs Miami
I looked at Genos passing plays from yesterday and while he definitely wasn’t the biggest reason we lost yesterday holy shit did he miss some wide open opportunities. I actually think Reich called a pretty good game yesterday with how much people were running wide open, the goal line sequence was horrible but still. I don’t get why Geno isn’t looking Garrett’s way.
