Was mag sie? Was beschäftigt sie?

Complaint I just realized we've been shipping AI slop :(
I primarily use Opus 5.5, and our team has an agent that reviews code automatically.
Today it created two temp variables for an expression I would've inlined. Such a basic thing even an intern wouldn't do.
Tbh, I don't pay much attention to readability in AI-generated code because we're working on a tight deadline, and it's tight even without code review.
But since this was a small change, I paid a few seconds of attention, and damn, so many best practices were violated.
A separate way to practice this kind of scrutiny is a Pinterest SWE question on reviewing AI-generated LRU/LFU cache changes, which asks you to check invariants, tests, and benchmark assumptions. For readers applying to AI engineering roles, application autofill can reduce repeated form entry.
Now I'm truly disappointed that we've been shipping garbage for months :(

Forever PvE Balancing Is the Root of Homogenization
Spicy one for you. Prepare the downvotes.
People keep saying not to balance the game for PvP because that's how you end up with homogenized classes. Those same people will beg for their hybrids to do within 5% dps of pure DPS classes and then demand that each class bring it's own unique raid buff because otherwise "they won't get invited to raid".
When the first raid is out, people are going to beg for nerfs and buffs based on parses and overall damage. "B-b-but it's not fair that rogue has no AoE when the hardest boss is an AoE fight!!" another class will say "I have ZERO mobility! I can't keep up with bosses anymore I need heroic leap or something" and so on and so forth. People will go on and on about how they need the same tools as X class because they don't get invited to raids or they get passed up for on loot. These will be massively upvoted threads. This is why PvP in retail feels like a M+ cleave fest now where everyone has a heal, a defensive, and a "go". Not because of PvP-specific balance, but because of PvE balance.
^^ This is what causes homogenization in the game btw. Not PvP. PvP is the one area of the game where a reduction in homogenization actually makes classes stronger and stand out more. Warrior gets stuck in roots? Get a paladin to cleanse them. Fine tuned DPS numbers don't matter when a class is using it's entire kit in an fight.

Most unprofessional email i've ever gotten from a company
Context for the fuckwits in the comments, orders two courtside combos with whopper juniors and asked for no ketchup on both burgers since I can't eat their ketchup without giving me the shits and got ketchup on both, making the whole order unedible, also it's not a "free" whopper junior since i'd have to spend more money to get it, also not complaining about the "not so refund refund" I was simply saying how this is the most unprofessional email i've received from a business
edit: for the people thinking i'm "ungrateful", this post is about the unprofessional nature of the email, not about the singular burger "compensation" I got for two fucked up ones

Was early Zionism thought as a colonial project by it's founders?
This is a really really controversial topic, but ive heard quotes by Hertzl saying that his project is a colonial one or things of that nature. How did infulencial early zionists such as hertzl and ben gurion view it, as a colonial project or a nativist one?

I’m 25 and I’ll be taking a 130k euro, mortgage loan (against my apartment) to buy and hold BTC. Any thoughts?
Edit 26.10.26
Sincerely thank you all for the critique and advice. This is my first serious reddit post and I'm amazed of how many different perspectives I got and how that can change ones thinking.
Pre story- In 2023 I advised my parents to Invest in Bitcoin, they made 5k -> 15k in a year. Then they gifted me the sum to invest. Through 2024-2025 I gambled/traded them away in crypto chasing bigger returns and trying to justify my time without a job. From then till now I have a stable and well paying job and have created a small foundation in my life (discipline and independence).
A brief of my situation now: I got a pretty good life- a great job, gf from 7 years, close with parents, a couple of friends and time and freedom to pursue what interests me (apartment, car, garage). The only thing missing is a true career/competence in a field (which for a man is important).
Brief of the loan: 130k. 3% interest, 30 years; After 1st year you could repay without costs; taxes are really low and legislation is pro crypto.
The overall Pros of the plan: in purely rational terms whatever you make above 3% a year is profit, you're leveraging an asset to buy an even harder asset, I've already be burned and think I know how to hodl now, you will have to take a loan for something at sometime in life, why not on Bitcoin?
Overall Cons: not worth the strain on your life, gambling your future, gambling your only safe haven, bad risk reward, DCA-ing the monthly fee would earn comparable returns in 30y.
There is so much more to life than Bitcoin- purpose, emotion, contentment, happiness, progress- not just number go up.
However, I'm too much ahead in the loan process and tomorrow I'll be signing the contract and from November I'll have the funds.
Based on everything I read I plan to: allocate the amount in parts carefully, don't rush and buy as I would DCA, see if my conviction about life and the plan is after 1 year and decide if to continue.
Again, thank you all for the help and support, you opened my eyes :)

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) The game does not have difficult platforming, you're just bad.
There are so many people complaining about the platforming when it literally isn't that bad. Like it is way easier than any of the platforming in the classicvanias, play castlevania on the NES or play Rondo of Blood and then get back to me, this complaint is so tired.
Some of you have never played a game that had actually difficult platforming and it really shows.

Apple Retail Apple store employees, tell us what's going on here
Louis is trying to track down how pervasive signing people up for services trials is in Apple Stores. I am also curios if this is some isolate incidents or if it's every store. I was in an Apple Store recently and wasn't asked to sign up for anything but I also subscribe to a few services already.

Discussion will olivia rodrigo's fanbase last?
DISCLAIMER: I love Olivia Rodrigo. Have done since Driver's License. Drop Dead will definitely be my top song and I think YSPSFAGSIL is album of the year no question. On top of that, I admire her balls for being unapologetic about her stances. Do not take this as me slandering her because I think she deserves a better fanbase.
All that said, I think a chunk of her fanbase, at least online (which I know is not a 1-1 reflection of real life), aren't as much fans of her as they are haters of Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift. You open a video of the Unravelled tour and it's not uncommon for one of the top comments to be "Taylor Swift wishes she could do this!" or variations upon it. It's also not uncommon for Livie accounts to be the loudest when it comes to Sabrina Carpenter backlash (after the wine moms ad dudebros have had their fun). And I am not saying you have to be a fan of every artist in the world or even every pop girlie. But if your fave is on tour and your first thought it about another artist, you do have to ask yourself how much of a fan you are.
I think this part of Olivia's fanbase are trying to position her as the anti-Carpenter/Swift. The one who is In It For The Music, the One True Pop Girl who's just not like the rest. And I am not sure how long this can last. As Megan Thee Stallion said, "they're ot pro-you, they're anti-me".
I believe Olivia will go on to have a long and successful career, she's clearly only going from strength to strength. But I do wonder if this part of her fanbase will crumble away with nothing to sustain them, or worse, turn on her.

Vtmnc
