Purely because I’m bored of my truck and have always wanted one. I do tow but not all that much. At least not enough to justify an excursion. I have been wanting one for a while now. Ended up going with my eco boost for practicality reasons. I do enjoy my f150 and nothing is wrong with it. However for some reason I just can’t scratch the itch of wanting to drive an excursion. I found a v10 with only 40,000 miles I like. I know the mpg on these things is laughable. I really don’t care. Seems like a reliable vehicle. I could fit all of my family’s crap in the back when we go camping or whatever. I like the idea of owning a vehicle without all the electronics. I want to step back in time of that makes sense. So if you were me… would you do it?

Picked up a 2019 Focus last month and a few things listed in the brochure are simply missing. No auto lock and no ambient lighting in the doors and the daytime lights sit on full. The seller said a garage changed some settings and never put them back. There are tools that edit module settings from a laptop or a phone and my worry is bricking something on a car I have only just paid for. Has anyone switched features back on and had it survive a dealer update?

I have a 2020 Ford fusion Titanium with a modem connection problem. Tried unplugging the battery, tried removing the fuse for 5 minutes, didn't help. Apparently there is a service message SSM 54589 that identifies this problem and directs technicians to update the APIM software. As a private owner with access to a body shop, is this something I can do myself?

I was reading about the Ford Pinto engine, and the one thing i keep hearing is that the early ones had some problems, notably (citing from the wikipedia page) "Early Pinto engines suffered from excessive cam and follower wear, this was later addressed by nitriding the cam lobes and followers, and the fitment of a spray bar, which sprayed oil directly at the camshaft.". Does anyone know from what year did they start doing this?

Hey everyone!
I’m reaching out in hopes of connecting with someone who currently works at Ford Motor Company, whether you’re a recruiter, hiring manager, fellow veteran, or current employee.
I’m very interested in building a long-term career with Ford and would appreciate any advice or guidance on getting my foot in the door.
I know how competitive the hiring process can be, and I’m not looking for anyone to hand me a job. I’m simply hoping to connect with someone who might be willing to share their experience, offer some insight into the hiring process, or point me in the right direction.
If you’re a veteran who successfully transitioned into a career with Ford, I’d especially love to hear about your experience and whether there are any veteran-specific hiring programs or resources worth looking into.
I’m motivated, willing to learn, and ready to put in the work. Sometimes all it takes is the right guidance or an opportunity to get your foot in the door.
If anyone is willing to offer advice or connect, I’d genuinely appreciate it. Feel free to comment or send me a private message.
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to help!

I tried going on the Ford Speak page to look up what STA meant and it comes up with a Google page and says I don't have access, presumably because the only Google account that I have is my personal one. Anyone else having trouble accessing that page?

Im wondering what work has been done on the truck and what if anything the customer stated was wrong with the truck - specifically related to the transmission.
If you can PM the report it would be much appreciated!

Anyone that works in a ford dealer/finance know whether the new promos (0% 60 months and 2.9% 72 months) are valid if you have a trade with substantial negative equity? Credit and income are good.

This was my first real semi-road legal car that i've owned, driven it to the ground and made a 4,500 km trip to Hamburg with it, as of this moment it's basically a paper weight becouse the registration was taken away by the Police for the lack of a Catalyc converter and excessive body rust. Can't register it anymore and the scrap value doesnt exceed 200€, my goal for it is to keep it parked for as long as possible, basically an abandoned car experiment, what would you do?
Hey, I have a ford focus sedan SE 2007. I noticed this issue yesterday. How can I fix it? I don’t wanna go to the body shop hence I’m a female and am scared to be overcharged (i’m very broke lol). Any advice is welcome and appreciated

I’m in tech school right now looking for a second vehicle I like the explorers but in my area the 2Vs are hard to come by that aren’t super high mileage or rusted out but there are a decent amount of 3Vs for sale in my area. So I was wondering because I’ve heard horror stories about the 3V tritons how bad are they really and should I look into getting one? On top of that what year should I look for and how good are the transmissions in the 4th gen explorers? I’m looking for one with 4WD.

Hi all, I have a 2018 ford Taurus! It has automatic start, but it doesn’t work on the key fob and neither does the panic button but everything else works. I looked at the manual to see if I was doing it wrong but nope. I plan to take it somewhere to get checked out this week, but maybe someone here had experienced this and fixed the bug themselves. Thanks everyone :) I will attach a picture of the fob as well.

Applied for a technical position.
Recruiter (with Ford email ID) reached out, initial screening, asked for salary expectations, I stated $150,000. They stated its within their ballpark for the position.
Salary range for the position approved: $90,000 - $148,000
Panel interview - cleared. I was the only external candidate with one internal.
Recruiter reaches out, HM wants to make an offer. Offered $110,000. I stated expecting $150,000. Recruiter states, don’t take another offer without discussing with me.
Recruiter goes to HM and comes back with $125,000 + one time $15,000. I stated, instead of all this, I expect $150,000 and asked what is the max range good for that’s specified with the JD.
Recruiter states, we never go to the cap level. $150,000 is too high and it is not aligned with the current ORG and blah blah blah and will disturb the payscale and the number of years of experience the current team has. My experience is close to HM.
I asked the recruiter, since they are working on hiring for multiple other positions, could they find me a position that has $150,000? Since I left my job a month ago and had $160,000 base, I believe recruiter is playing the lowball game even after stating my expectations at the beginning which was in the ballpark. I shared the publicly advertised post for my backfill which shows the range $125,000 - $170,000.
Now they wanted to go back to HM and discuss $150,000 expectations again.
What are the chances the recruiter and the HM will be able to come to $150,000?
