2024 Honda CRV coolant leak??
I got my oil changed today and the tech tells me that the coolant reservoir is empty and recommends a coolant service for like $250. I do drive a lot, I have 88k miles on my car, but I’ve not had any overheating warnings, etc. I assume this isn’t normal? They also said I could get some sort of pressure test as well. I don’t recall they checked this fluid level in the past couple of services.

Did y’all know you can run an older B-series on one cylinder with a missing spark plug in a different one?
I’m not saying you should, I’m just saying you can. frankly I’m surprised these motors try that hard to run, the N14 in my MINI gets upset if the fuel is the wrong grade (that’s just high-compression things, though).

Will there ever be a Low interest rate APR on the civic hybrid touring? Seems Toyota and Chevy offer like 2% to try and sell? Any idea on if Honda will ever go that low
For me this would easily get to buy one. Easy to justify the price and high insurance cost if the monthly payments are low. Anyone have thoughts and are also waiting for this unlikely deal?

Is 7,000 for a Honda civic a bad deal?
Hello a lady on Facebook marketplace is selling an 09 Honda civic lx coupe manual with 123k miles. She’s the only owner for 7,000! And she won’t go any lower… I feel like I would lose a lot of money if I tried selling it again.

2 diags are > 1
I had my 2018 civic si (L15B7) start sputtering at 2-3k rpm while driving home last week, and while limping it the last couple minutes home replicated the problematic rev range- and it stalled when I let off the gas hearing it misfire.
There's an open recall on 10th gen civics due to the impeller in the low pressure fuel pump failing with age, and as I hadn't blew any codes besides the random misfire code, it seemed textbook that the mechanical impeller in the fuel pump was going out, which wouldn't blow a code to my knowledge.
So I called to get it scheduled, (didn't even chance trying to have them comp the tow in the event they claimed it wasn't the fuel pump and had AAA tow it) and just requested the recall(s) to be done that were on the books for my car.
I noticed under the services/concerns portion of the appoinment reminder- that under the 2 recalls, listed as TOW, was a: "TOW IN/ NO START DIAGNOSTIC", which I assumed was an either/or statement, as I told the dealership rep my car 𝘥𝘪𝘥 start, idle, and drive at low speeds, it just wasn't safe to drive there.
I thought nothing of it and had my car towed in and dropped off last night. I was waiting for updates this morning when the service advisor called confirming they had my car and were about to start the recalls, and said to the effect that they'd look it over, which would seem to be standard practice after doing a recall.
I later get an update saying the pump is installed and the car is driving fine, the tech is reassembling the back seat (which I should get brownie points as I had dissasembled it for them to remove aftermarket deadening). He then quotes me for a fuel injector and fuel rail kit, saying they were unable to replicate the rev issues/misfire.
I politely declined, and got sent the invoice this afternoon, and low and behold there's a diag fee. I called to clarify, as I thought I was only getting recall work done and that there must've been a mistake when I was scheduled. I was then told that since I gave consent this morning when he said they'd look it over, that's just where we're at. He affirmed my issue wasn't the fuel pump, (which I just looked up what the specific symptoms of 10th gen pumps failing and it's verbatim what happened to my car) which meant I wouldn't have even been comped the tow through honda care had I paid out of pocket.
So my question is do I have a case to push back through corporate? I haven't paid for anything, and I never physically signed anything, I just find it hard to believe that they wouldn't even partially comp it, as I've had good relations with this dealership- and exact service advisor before.
All advice and time is greatly appreciated thank you all

Adding remote start to the Civ
I have a 2005 Civic and I’m thinking I want to put remote start in it. Ive seen some cheap kits on amazon with some pretty cool features like being able to start from your phone, but I’ve heard that universal kits are hard and plug and play is the best way to go. What would be a good plug and play kit to put in it? Also, is universal all that hard to do yourself?

Peeling Paint Update (Dealers suck)
So basically back in July, I was washing my wife's Civic with a basic hoze nozzle (not a pressure washer or anything like that) and car wash soap with a mitt. Nothing out of the ordinary. I went to rinse the soap off and the paint came off too - straight down to the primer. I know this gen (2017) has paint issues so I was pretty upset to see this. It's only a 9-year-old car. My '98 Civic has better paint than this.
Right away I emailed Big Honda and was basically told that because it's not Pearl White, I had to go through the dealer and see if they'd help.
I went into the service department (it was already August at this point) and they, very empathetically, said they'd reach out to the regional manager to see if they could get a paint job covered and get back to me within 2-3 days.
Fast forward to late September and I haven't gotten anything back from them. Life has been hectic with a newborn, but I call and leave a voicemail. No answer.
Now it's October, I finally manage to get the service rep that I spoke. To originally on the phone, and he basically tells me (paraphrasing):
We reached out to the regional manager and they said there's nothing we can do about it. The thing is, we don't have any relationship with you prior to last year and we pulled up the CarFax and don't really see any record of any maintenance being performed in the past few years. So, I know you already reached out to Honda Corporate from the email you forwarded me earlier, but yeah you're gonna have to just call them and see what they can do for you.
I do my own maintenance and we just moved here from Hawai'i two years ago. It's not like I can just drive it back to Hawai'i to talk to that dealer. Even if I did spend the $2k to ship it back, they'd probably just deny it too and at that point I may as well just pay to get it repainted.
It's just wild to me that something that the paint issues on 10th Gen Civics are so well documented and something that's clearly a result of poor workmanship is still getting denied just because I haven't spent enough money at the dealer.
I guess I'll just reach out to corporate again and see if they'll do anything, but I doubt it.
Oh well, boo-hoo me. Womp womp.
