Any other women here who own a Mini Cooper?
Hey ladies! I’m hoping to meet more women who are into cars, especially other MINI Cooper owners. If you’re comfortable sharing, how old are you, what general area are you from, and what year and model do you drive? I’d love to hear about your cars and connect with fellow car girls!

My rental…..Downgrade?!?
Asked if I could swap for a BMW 5 series to this and no regrets at all. The people at the rental company thought I was crazy but I told them once you own a mini and drive one then you will understand.

Joined the Family
Proud owner of this gorgeous 2024 Cooper S 2-door.
I am not exaggerating when I say I’ve wanted one of these cars for 25 years. Been driving a 2014 minivan for a decade, and finally can comfortably afford it. Plus, our last kid graduates next year so practicality is no longer a concern.
I had been planning to really start shopping in December, but she popped up locally and checked damn near every box. I knew what needed to be done.
Just need to figure out her name!

Is it possible to prevent this message from appearing every time I start the car?

I've joined the Mini family finally!
I've wanted a Mini Cooper for at least 23 years when I first watched the movie, The Italian Job as a kid. I probably could have had one sooner, but things have always seemed to just pop up and only now was just able to get one for a good price, however it is a fixer upper, I was told it needs a new timing chain, it has 137K miles on it. And is a 2008 3 Door clubman with the split rear doors which I refer to as van doors, I've wanted a car with those kind of doors the most. The photo is of the actual car with a donut on the right side, just edited to remove the background. I'm going to find out if it has the death rattle, or whether the chain broke completely, because I could be looking at a relatively cheap fix doing it myself, or a more expensive fix, especially if I have to do an engine swap.

F56 Cooper S – wind noise from passenger-side A-pillar / wing mirror area. Any ideas?
Hi all,
We've had our 2017 Cooper S F56 (RHD) for about three months and there's a noise coming from the passenger side that I'm struggling to track down.
It's quite difficult to describe. From the passenger seat, it sounds almost as though there's a gap somewhere letting outside noise in, like the window isn't quite shut. My OH describes it as wind noise, more of a broad rushing sound than a whistle.
It's noticeable from around 20–30 mph and gets louder with speed. The strange thing is how localised it sounds. It really seems to come from directly in front of the passenger, around the lower A-pillar / wing mirror area, rather than generally through the door or from underneath the car. It can only really be heard from the passenger seat, and there's no obvious draught.
So far:
* Checked the passenger window with the paper test and it seems to seal tightly.
* Glass appears to sit evenly against the rubber seals, just like the driver's side.
* Door seals properly.
* Had a MINI specialist thoroughly check. They confirmed everything is sealing properly and there's no air getting into the cabin.
The specialist suggested it might actually be tyre noise, as the rear tyres are worn on their inner edges. I appreciate that sound can travel through the car, but I'm struggling to reconcile that with how clearly the noise seems to originate from the front passenger-side A-pillar.
Has anyone experienced anything similar on an F56?
Any ideas appreciated. I'd rather track down the cause than start replacing parts at random.
Thank you!

Mini on the Tail of the Dragon in TN
I took my zesty to the tail of the dragon this last weekend and not only am I extremely impressed, but I cannot wait to go back with better brakes and rotors. i also hit the foothills, and the extra moonshiner 28!
I had an AMAZINGGGG time. The mini handles so much better than I anticipated and I got the wheels to bark at me at a corner or two. Honestly this thing was such a hit everyone complimented the color and it was so hot to hear the turbo spool up the entire 11 miles. Wow.

Jacksonville Mini
Hello, anybody in Jacksonville looking for mini parts and or a mini to work on?
I have a mini that is just a complete lemon… it’s broken down on me a million times and I can no longer afford to fix it. I’m upside down about six grand on it and still making monthly payments. If anyone would be interested in it (long shot, I know) lemme know because it’s just sitting in my driveway and I hate the car with a passion.

Traded the go-kart for the spaceship, and honestly?….
No regrets!
Huge respect to the Cooper…that handling literally felt like driving on Rainbow Road.. I loved it!🏎️💨
after a streak of bad luck for 6 months with my 2027 cooper, I made the switch to the Countryman I’d been eyeing all along. The comfort, drive, and space are perfection. So thrilled to stay in the MINI community!
