Stop with the UI changes that make things worse!! Now to see which of your subscriptions have uploaded a new vid, instead of clicking one thing you have to click three 🙄

Nearly 2 am and this shows up. Please delete this forever...

how did this ai slop ad manage to bypass copyright? because youtube loves ai ads. but why is this, the orange being fed a orange, george pig pooping, micheal pig ads and more allowed on yt? Also, I AGAIN SWEAR I HAVE NEVER SEEN A KIDS VIDEO ON YT IN MY LIFE!

Youtube wants more money as i understand

I do not care about any of these videos and they are not remotely about anything I watch and they keep showing up on my sidebar no matter how much I click not interested. Is there a setting or even add on to just block this garbage?

When you launch the app with the new layout the subscription tab is gone from bottom row. It’s now hidden, you have to pull down on Home Screen to see the sub tab in the top row now.

God I hope this is an A/B test that they revert 😩

Is there anyway to get it back? It’s been like this for a week now. Really killing the mobile experience.

Long time creator here (well, about 3 years in). Wondering if any other creators have advice on how to track your YouTube links?

In an ideal world, I’d like to track everywhere: newsletter, IG bio, Discord, the odd sponsor collab. Never really cared where views came from until recently (I maaaaaay or may not be getting some potential sponsorship opportunities, who’s to say 😉).

I'm trying to figure out which campaigns are driving traffic as evidence. YouTube Studio isn't the best tbh - from my experience anyway. It lumps a lot into "external" and I can't tell whether a spike came from my newsletter or a random Discord share. The youtube links themselves don't give me any click data either.

What are you all using to track this? I'm mostly after clicks per link and where they're coming from. I'd rather not have to build a UTM spreadsheet from scratch if there's something simpler.

these election ads are pissing me off, every ad break it's 2 long unskippable ads that they've showed me a billion times.

everytime I'm trying to unwind & watch some videos I can't go a few minutes without politics being shoved in my face with no option to skip, & 1 isn't enough they do 2 everytime.

youtube has been bad with the ads for a while now but it was at least somewhat tolerable because it was different stuff & you could skip, now it's just the same annoying politics ads over & over & over & over & over again with no option to skip

I wanted to watch this video that everyone seems to love, but I get an error message saying "This video isn't available anymore":

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z_R0gEDZhAI

Here's the post with people saying it's still viewable for them:

https://www.reddit.com/r/BuyItForLife/comments/1xedk8f/tarps_nonmicroplastics_homeowner_stuff/19rlc4sbfl72d/

I get the problem on both Firefox and Chromium on Linux. Anyone else have this problem? Any idea how I could watch the video? Thanks. <3

Thw Autoplay button is supposed to Autoplay another video the algorithm selects after a brief pause of about 5 seconds, either after the video or after the ad that plays after the video. That's what it's done for years. It wasn't broken. Why fix it?

It doesn't do that anymore. Now I have to babysit YouTube to make it play something. The whole point of auto play is so that I don't have to do that! If it doesn't work why is the button to turn it on or off even there? Who's brilliant idea was this? I just want to talk to them.

It's been a whole year and a half since the Switch 2 launched and YouTube still isn't available. What could possibly be taking so long?

I've never seen this happen before. I was shocked.

i don't know if this is some temporary bug or something, but it all dissapeared. I don't know if it happened today, or it's been longer, since I haven't looked in there for quite a while and today I realized it. If they are actually gone I'd be really upset because I had many good viedios saved there. Does anyone else have this too?

I have 3 channels under one Google account. The watch histories aren't linked and I wanted to pick back up from a video I was viewing from my other account. Can please somebody tell me why my name showed as [First Name] + The Hunted?

It's a spooky thing they're doing right now. Who else experienced this? Or is it just me?

Hi everyone!

I'm thinking about starting a YouTube channel where I review and discuss books chapter by chapter, using PowerPoint presentations (PPTX) with images, historical context, and my own commentary.

The idea is to read one chapter, take notes, do some additional research when necessary, and create a 15–30 minute video discussing the chapter's main ideas, interesting details, and my personal thoughts.

I'm interested in different types of books, including fiction, history, geopolitics, and social issues.

For example, if I'm discussing a chapter from All Quiet on the Western Front, I could talk about what happens in that chapter while also exploring relevant historical topics, such as nationalism, military life, or why young men volunteered to fight in WWI.

I would use PowerPoint slides with pictures, maps, quotes, and key points to support my commentary, rather than making heavily edited video essays.

My goal would be to publish roughly one video per week, depending on how much research the chapter requires.

However, I'm wondering whether this format would actually be interesting to viewers, especially when it comes to fiction. I feel like nonfiction chapters can work as standalone videos, while fiction might be harder to follow if you haven't read the book.

My questions are:

1. Would you watch this kind of chapter-by-chapter series?
2. Do you think PowerPoint presentations are engaging enough for YouTube if the commentary is interesting?
3. Would you recommend starting with fiction or nonfiction?
4. Do you know any YouTube channels that use a similar format?

I'd appreciate any honest feedback, especially from people who watch BookTube or educational YouTube channels.

Having dinner while the traditional Youtube video plays in the background. I feel like I am losing it. For the past year, 80% of commentary/essay videos I've clicked through feel like AI script. The "and here's the interesting thing!" you get in AI gen breakdowns has become like a sleeper agent trigger to me. I've mentioned this to my sibling recently but they said I'm Truman show-ing myself. Has anyone else got this weird intuition they've been listening to digitally regurgitated fakes? I miss easily finding creators just blatantly venting their thoughts and theories and having it feel human.
