what did people get?

Hey everyone! I’m taking HIST 2P01 with Dr. Manitowabi at Brock, but I haven’t been able to attend the lectures.

Since the lecture slides aren’t posted, I was wondering how important the lectures are for the final exam.
For anyone who has taken this course before, is the final mostly based on the readings, or do you need to know specific things covered in lectures?

Would I be okay studying the readings and course materials, or should I try to get someone’s lecture notes?
Any advice would be really appreciated. Thank you!

(The final is said to be a discussion take home exam if that helps)

Full respect to Brock's librarian (I sadly don't know her name, but I see her often, gray hair). Her knees must be killer bc if I was climbing 10 flights of stairs, all day every day, I'd ask for my own elevator 😅

Hey, I am really struggling this year, academically. I am in my 2nd year and it is so much different from last year. My courses are really heavy and I am only taking 4 of them. I work and take care of my family (clean, cook, and take care of my younger siblings). I honestly don’t know why I have been struggling so much because I go to class and always hand my assignments in on time but my midterm and quiz marks never translate with how much I think I study. I really don’t know what I am asking but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on doing better on the tests that are worth 20%+ of my grade! 

I was out for a walk tonight when I found a dropped Brock Card and keychain at the bus stop next to the Goodman School. If you've lost your Brock Card I've turned it in to the service desk at Lowenberger.

I have to go to a wedding out of Canada and was wondering if you can still access it outside of the country or will it not work ? :) just wondering to plan accordingly

I recently missed a midterm and I’m waiting for my professor to schedule the makeup exam.
I was wondering how much notice do professors at Brock usually give before a makeup midterm? Do they normally let you know a few days in advance or can they email you just one day before?
I’m asking because I’ve had a professor in the past who only gave me one day’s notice for a makeup test and I’m worried that might happen again

Any tips? Anyone already wrote it last year? Im freaking out

Does anyone know if the midterm is defining a bunch of the content or if it’s very complex? Sorry I don’t really know how to phrase it. I know it’s multiple choice but I’m getting a lot of conflicting info about it on google.

I have an exam on Wednesday, but someone close to my family passed away, and their funeral is being held on Wednesday, and I have to travel back for it. Does anyone know what the steps are, or what I need to provide my professor for a case like this?

Computer science students need to take an online academic integrity class and I missed the one I signed up for due to the sickness of a family member. I checked today and I don’t see the option to sign up for another one. Idk what do or who to reach out too so I’m really freaking out on what to do please help

I'm currently a student planning to pursue a career in accounting, and I'm interested in Brock's BAcc program. I was wondering if anyone currently in the program or who has graduated could share their experience.

How difficult is the program overall, and would you say it's worth it?

I'm also curious about the math and statistics courses. Math has always been one of my weaker subjects, and I didn't take calculus in high school, so I'm a little concerned about how difficult those courses might be. How challenging are they for someone who isn't really strong in math?

I'd appreciate any advice or experiences you guys could share. Thanks!

Hello! I graduated last year, and I was using the SHS for mental health. I had a doctor on campus and received a diagnosis, but how do I get access to my charts to forward them to my family doctor?

Do I need to pay the printing fee and just hand them to my doctor, or can I have them faxed (how much does that cost?)

Also this is dumb but when I received a mental health diagnosis it was verbal. Like do I need a certificate or something proving my diagnosis or is it word of mouth?
