I made this account In 2021 and even though I'm really active on Reddit, I can't make new friends... Not everyone on Reddit Is toxic or rude but there's ALWAYS something missing because I don't feel any emotional connection... I would love to change my life & finally wake up excited to text someone I really, really like 🙁 But... Life Isn't easy and I'm not sure If there's still a chance for me to find someone with exactly the same expectations as mine, someone who wants to meet someone new...

• I'm DEFINITELY NOT Interested In small talk! I had to use capital letters because I don't like low-effort messages and I don't even want to read them. Repetitive questions like "How are you?", "What are you up to?" or "What are your plans for the weekend?" aren't enough to start a conversation with me.. Don't get me wrong - Questions like these can be an Interesting addition to conversations about something else, but whenever people ask me the three most common questions In the world - my answer's the same because my life Is quite monotonous and I don't really know what people expect to hear 🙁 I also don't like abbreviations. Abbreviations are shortened forms of words or phrases. Why? I just don't like them because I see no reason to use shortened forms of words that are already short enough, you know? Abbreviations are common among minors and bored adults but I'm neither a minor, nor a bored adult. I want to see emotional maturity, warmth and kindness In conversations with others.

• I don't need to see your list of hobbies to know If you're someone I would get along with! You can tell me what you're Interested In but.. Believe It or not - I'm not like others and even If you're Interested In something I'm not - we can still be friends! What matters to me Is what you're like (If you're honest, talkative, kind, understanding and If your outlook on life Is similar to mine)

• I don't want to talk to minors and people way older than me. Why? I don't want to talk to minors because I'm an adult & I don't want to talk to anyone over fifty for example. Emotional maturity doesn't necessarily come with age so you can send me a message even If you're 20 (It's just an example) but please, don't contact me If you want to remind me that I'm older than you. I want you to feel comfortable & I want to feel comfortable myself. When I read messages like "Hi, I'm younger but I hope you don't mind" I always say to myself "If my age bothers you, you should've contacted someone else" I absolutely don't mind talking to people younger than me If they know how to communicate with others 🌸

• PLEASE, Don't use AI to talk to me! I Can't stand AI generated messages! If I wanted to read AI generated messages, I wouldn't be here! I read AI generated messages and comments all the time and I'm sick of It!

• I don't want to get any messages from people whose accounts are NSFW! Please, respect my decision! It's none of my business If you're here to find someone to flirt with or If you're an Internet exhibitionist but I don't want to see you with no clothes on - If you want to be my friend & I don't want to know what you want to do with other women In bed. If you are on Reddit to flirt with others, be on Reddit to flirt with others but... don't make an alternative account to hide who you really are just to send me a message. Pretending to be someone you're not - Isn't good for anyone

• I'm not a fan of sarcasm! I do - have a sense of humor but I'm not someone who makes fun of everyone and everything... Jokes about disabilities, death, religion or someone's financial status - are unacceptable to me!

• I also want to meet people who don't mind listening to negative stories and sharing them with others. My life's not easy so If you want to be In my life, you should be prepared for a realistic or even pessimistic outlook on life. I'm definitely not an optimist and I know I wouldn't get along with optimistic people who always tell others "Just believe In yourself and everything's gonna be OK" or something. We don't always get what we want & and It's completely normal to lose hope "for a better tomorrow" after many failed attempts. Not everything's as easy as It seems to be so If all you want to say to someone who needs emotional support Is "Don't complain" or "Find a therapist" Please.. don't send me a message. Not all sad people need therapists and let's be honest - Would a therapist replace a true friend? Absolutely not! Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on! I also don't mind listening to sad stories (even If they're repetitive) because I know what It's like when no one wants to listen to you...

• I would love to meet people who also don't have anyone, you know? There's absolutely nothing wrong with having friends and not being single but I'm single and I don't have anyone special In my life... It's just easier for me to get along with others If there's some common ground. I just feel better talking to people who know what It's like to be completely alone & let's be honest - People who have friends or partners, have less time for others...(which Is completely understandable) and I? I don't want to feel like an option, again. I'm not here to meet as many people as possible because I choose quality over quantity 🌸

I don't want to be rude but If It doesn't make any difference to you who you want to chat with - I'm definitely not for you. I want you to be my friend because of who I am! (If after reading my post you think you'd get along with me) I don't need emotional support from someone who doesn't even want to read my post.

• I want to talk to people who love and use emojis 🤭😊 Why? Emojis help us express our emotions even If others can't see our faces. Two emojis "😊" and "😔" are completely enough. You're probably surprised but.. text messages without emojis are really emotionless... I also don't like it when people say "yeah" or yea" as it sounds dismissively! First impression Is everything to me! I want to see your kindness even In a text message

Ps. I don't like kids and I don't want to ever become a parent. I just thought everyone should know that just In case. I don't want any unpleasant conversations with anyone. Not everyone wants to be friends with people who don't want kids so.. It's better to be honest. 🌸

Ps.2 I don't reply to messages I'm not Interested In even If they're long! I'm not on Reddit to pretend anything and I'm not here to be everyone's best friend. Some people lie & make empty promises to get attention. I? I'm quite selective because I know what I want.

Hello everybody! I’m 32 years old, male and located in Europe. I moved here almost a decade ago. It’s been quite difficult to make friends and especially keep them. The older I have gotten, the harder it has been to build new friendships. I have been a huge fan of Formula 1 since I was 10, I’m into gaming, though I don’t play variety of games, right now it is League of Legends, Fifa, Marvel Rivals and Overwatch occasionally. I love campaign games, (the Witcher, god of war, Detroit:become human, you name it) though I don’t have that much time to play them. I also love watching true crime documentaries. Recently, I have started going back to watching movies and shows and I have seen really interesting ones. I have finished watching the Pitt, House of the Dragons, the Office and Daredevil recently! I used to have more motivation to do my other hobbies, such as reading and photography but I have lost all of it, trying to gain it back. I mostly listen to rock music, however I listen to whatever is good for my soul. My fav artists are Three Days Grace, Ghost, Bring me the Horizon and Halestorm. Probably one of the hardest questions during interviews. It’s easy to say, “I’m blah blah, 26, from somewhere in the world,” then list your achievements, skills, and experiences. Funny how that generic answer is already programmed in my head.

But if I ask myself who I really am, the answer gets a little harder. I’m a mess, but I’m a good daughter. Or at least, I’m trying to be. Am I a good person? I’d like to think so. Do I get angry? I do. Am I reasonable? Most of the time, probably not. I’m just one person among billions, trying to survive one day at a time.

Sometimes I wonder how everyone else is doing too. Did someone celebrate something today? Get a promotion? Or maybe simply enjoy their favorite food after a long day. Some people are at the top of the world, while others are barely holding on. We rarely know which is which. So, I guess, let’s be kind. Be the person we’d want to meet on a difficult day.
