Promotion I made a free Isaac-like roguelike that runs in your browser, and other players can invade your run

• Upvotes

Hey all! I’ve been working on this for a while as a side project and figured it’s time to show it to people who aren’t my friends lol

It’s called Core Mission: KX-9. You clear rooms, collect power-ups that stack in dumb ways, and fight your way down through the floors. Basically my love letter to Binding of Isaac but set in space with a bunch of weird alien creatures.

Some stuff in it:

  • 40+ bosses and a lot of different enemies
  • Online invasions: every floor has a portal, and you can jump into someone else’s run (or someone can show up in yours). Beat the invader and you steal some of their power-ups
  • Online leaderboards for score and invader kills
  • Works on mobile too, with on-screen joysticks
  • English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian and Japanese

It’s free and runs in the browser, no download: https://wambock.itch.io/coremission

It’s still rough in places, so any feedback is super welcome, especially if something breaks or feels unfair. And if you get invaded by me, sorry in advance 😅

Upcoming In this fast Era, I made a slow atmospheric game with a theme of ocean pollution

Hello, I'm Marek, developer of the game JELLYFISH.
It is an atmospheric 2.5D adventure about a jellyfish searching for its lost partner. Separated from the swarm and alone in the open ocean. It drifts through a world altered by marine pollution, unable to tell what belongs to the sea and what does not.

I'm planning to release demo soon (November 2026). If it caught your eye, check out the game - https://store.steampowered.com/app/3952320/JELLYFISH/

Public Game Test Wikiball - Football Quiz App

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

Hey all 👋⚽

Not sure if this is allowed, so admins, feel free to chop it if it’s against the rules!

I’ve just launched Wikiball, a new football quiz game on iOS, and I’d love to get it in front of a few fellow football fans 📱

The idea is simple: can you name the player from their Wikipedia career history? 🧠

You’ll see the clubs they’ve played for and try to work out who connects the dots. Sounds easy… until you’re staring at a career path you’re convinced you recognise 😂

Along the way, you can:

🃏 Collect player cards
🏆 Earn trophies and awards
📈 Work your way up through the tiers
🤝 Team up with your mates
⚔️ Play against them for bragging rights
❤️ Set your favourite club and test yourself on its players

If you reckon you know your club inside out, that last one might put you to the test 👀

It’s free to download, and you can earn free coins by completing your profile, playing and sharing the game 🪙

I’d love for you to give it a go and let me know what you think. Whether it’s something you enjoy, something that needs work, or an idea you’d like to see added, honest feedback would be really appreciated 🙌

Tag the mate who reckons they’re a walking football encyclopaedia and see how they get on 😂⚽

Download Wikiball here 👇

Cheers, everyone!

We're building a fun, quick-to-learn, top-down action-adventure set on Earth in an alternate timeline where our planet was discovered by alien civilizations in the 1930s.

The current playtest features an outdoor hub, a fully fleshed-out cave to explore, equipment to discover, and a boss to defeat.

This is just the beginning. We have big plans for more areas, bosses, equipment, pets, vehicles, and different ways to take on challenges.

The playtest is over at Steam. Just hit the "Join the Playtest"-button and you should be good to go.

News My solo-developed horror card game recently got its first press coverage!

Post image
• Upvotes

A little milestone for Desecrated Deck! :)

Coloured Static Press recently published two articles about my horror card game, including a developer interview!

It's been really motivating to see the project getting some attention outside of my own development updates.

One thing I'm especially curious about: how much does press coverage influence your decision to check out an indie game? Do you discover games through smaller gaming publications, or mostly through Steam, YouTube, and social media?

Here are the two articles:

Promotion The Demo for Treeternal is out on Steam!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey I'm Lion and the developer behind Treeternal! I have been working on Treeternal for about a year now and it was a bumpy road, making the game with my own engine was not easy (as expected). Lots of reworks and thrown away prototypes but there's finally a version that works out. The demo is out and the final version is already coming in 2 weeks.

Treeternal is an incremental rogue lite where you need to collect wood and turn it into timber to get stronger/faster and can hire woodcutter helpers with.

Play the demo here: Steam

Upcoming We're adding a museum to our business sim, here's a first look at the halls

Thumbnail

Hey everyone! I'm Ozkan, one of the devs behind Biztopia, a business sim where you run shops, warehouses, deliveries and more.

The next big thing we're working on is a City Museum. The idea: mystery boxes are hidden all around the city. You track them down, bring them to the museum and open them to reveal a real piece of history. Every artifact has its own place in the halls, and as the collection grows, more visitors come in and line up at the ticket desk.

These are in-game screenshots from our current build (HUD on, nothing edited). It's still a work in progress, so details may change before it's out.

We'd love to hear what you think: what kind of artifacts would you want to hunt for?

Need Feedback My island strategy game where every tile is a card. Does this look like something you'd play?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've been building this for a few weeks. You grow your island from a hand of cards, your hero hauls the wood and stone back to the keep himself, and bridges let you reach the rival islands, and let them reach you. Then it's armies, siege engines and taking their keep.
Honest first impressions welcome, good or bad. It's playable in the browser: link in the comments.

Video We fixed swing timing in our webcam cricket game and the feedback text was lying to players

We make a browser cricket game where you bat by swinging in front of your webcam. The camera tracks your arms and the batter copies your swing.

Camera players were scoring about half what swipe players scored. Across 45,000 saved balls, camera hits averaged 1.48 runs per ball against 3.15 for swipe. The cause was timing: each camera frame was timestamped when the game copied it, not when the camera captured it, so every camera swing was judged late by the camera's own delay. The fix uses the browser's requestVideoFrameCallback, which reports when the camera actually captured each frame, and swings are now timed from that.

There was a second bug in the feedback itself. The game showed PERFECT for swings within about 87 ms, but only gave full power within 53 ms. Players saw PERFECT and still got caught.

Genuine question for anyone who has built or played motion-control games: what tells you timing feels fair, the feedback text, the result of the shot, or something else?

Need Feedback I wanted to make something different from the typical arrow-based escape puzzles, so I replaced the arrows with snakes 🐍. The snakes smoothly slide through the maze, and I've added some extra gameplay mechanics. Would love some honest feedback!

This is Ring Brawl, my second game (my first was Last Call Lost). You move, jump and attack with on-screen buttons, chain punch combos, unlock fighters, outfits and weapons, and upgrade them. There are 8 worlds with 6 fights each, and some bosses change mid-fight.
It's coming to Android and iPhone soon. What would you add next: more bosses, more weapons, or online versus?
