It’s a pretty obvious split between the two on this election, except for the other votes (which may add up) but I don’t expect to come off on-top.
I’m completely on the fence. I want north & west BRT, but I also want someone to at least address the open drug use and homelessness problem we’re facing in London. Like seriously, something needs to be done…
I’m a weird redditor. I support BRT, but I also seriously wish downtown & OEV could live up to the potential it was from the 70’s to early 2000’s. Even when I moved to London in 2014, Downtown had a completely different vibe than it does today. Coming from a smaller town, I genuinely enjoyed walking downtown London and also thought Dundas & Richmond had a pretty cool vibe. Don’t get me wrong, there was homeless people, but it gave me “mini Toronto” vibes, which was super cool as a young person. Many longer-time locals have told me I caught the very tail end of what downtown London used to be.
What do you think? Try to be impartial. I’m fully aware Reddit leans on the centre-left side of things. I would consider myself a swing vote for Monday’s election.
