Question Is it wise to pursue Marketing?

I want to be blunt about it- the digital marketing boom drove very well with freelancers to agencies business and becomes a highly saturated space today. Now, as the AI is advancing all we get is- if AI is in the competition of your work, then you have already lost it; today or tomorrow it will take it. So the digital aspect of marketing, I feel, will be completely wiped out by the AI; so the que is what would be the future of marketing? Will it be physical or strategy positioning?

… and switched to Sales? I’m asking because I’m getting a bit fed up with my job. Everything has become repetitive AF, workload is killing me/my team because “AI can do everything now”.

Two years ago I did one of those DISC tests and the outcome was that I’m extroverted as hell, surprise. Last week I was defending a case (I wrote) before a jury for our company to win an award and it went so well. The other day I jokingly told a colleague of mine that I’m fed up with it and I’m going to transition to Sales, to which he very seriously replied: “You’d be a great sales”.

Is there anyone here that has made the move? Liked it, regretted it, or wants to share things to look out for?

My first choice would be to transition within the company I already work for.
