For TWO YEARS NOW I have been trying to figure out this mystery.
I saw a lady in woolies doing the jumper hand away from body hold on a steaming hot bachelor handbag. Sticker attached. Had that shrivelled skin and condensation that says a few hours on the turnstyle. Again, still steaming.
BUT SHE WAS AT BERO WOOLIES.
They don't have a deli section never mind hot chooks. She wasnt rushing, she was with a friend doing a nornal shop.
This was at about 3:30 pm give or take on a weekday. Term time. You all know the traffic if she had bought it from warabrook or green hills at that hour. It wouldnt have the steam unless she had it in a thermo bag. But why would you take it out of that bag for a stroll round the shops esp since it was still hold it away from yourself steaming?!
It was a woolies bag. Sticker still attached and not like microwave warped or anything.
For two years now my friends and I have wondered how. If you can tell me I would be grateful.
Thank you.

On my way home from work this afternoon, I caught myself staring at all the jacaranda tree’s starting to blossom.
They reminded me of my trip to Japan at the start of the year and being able to see the cherry blossoms that were blooming. Cherry Blossoms are very popular, enough that people travel from all parts of the world to visit.
Then I started to wonder why is there no hype around jacaranda’s, they are just as amazing when they blossom. Such a beautiful prominent Purple colour!
Anyways, thought I’d reach out on here and ask where are the best jacaranda’s in Newcastle?

Ryan Yates, now 25, was in November sentenced to a maximum of two years jail for recording six women without their consent, using AI to create child abuse material and soliciting pictures from an underage girl.
Judge Helen Wilson said Yates was a "high-risk of committing a further sexual crime" and had a "deviant sexual interest" when she ordered he spend a minimum of eight months in jail and placed him on the child protection register for eight years.
Yates was released on a Commonwealth recognizance order, like a good behaviour bond, in July this year.
But the 25-year-old was arrested earlier this month after police allege he exposed himself and stalked a number of girls at Maryland.
Yates was charged with wilful and obscene exposure near a public place or school, convicted child sex offender loiter near public place, three counts of stalking, failing to comply with the reporting obligations of the child protection register and negligent driving.
Police allege Yates was at Maryland about 3.45pm on October 16 when he exposed himself and stalked three girls.
He was arrested and represented himself in a bail division court the next day, when he made an unsuccessful bid to be released on bail.
Yates has not entered any pleas and will next appear in Newcastle Local Court on Monday, when he is expected to apply for bail again.
The alleged fresh offences occurred less than three months after Yates was released from jail onto the recognizance order on July 20.
Over the next 13 minutes, he recorded six women while they were using the toilet inside a cubicle and attempted to record a seventh woman.
As well as those voyeurism offences, Yates was using messaging applications to solicit child abuse material and an AI generator to produce about 60 images of young girls in various states of undress.
In May 2024, he began communicating with a person who said they were a 14-year-old girl, attempting to convince the girl to send him pictures of herself.
When the girl sent an image of herself, Yates replied with a picture of himself, completely naked.
He was arrested on May 9 and initially charged with filming one woman in the UON bathroom before police examined his phone and laid more charges.
A forensic psychologist found a nexus between Yates's mental health issues and the offending, but also said he posed a "high risk of re-offending".
Judge Wilson said Yates had a strong subjective case, but the offences were serious and his future dangerousness had to play a role in sentencing.
"How many women have to be exposed to this kind of conduct? Judge Wilson said.
"How many other children have to be approached online?"

Is it safe to assume we’ll get the non-Australia game at McDonald jones?
Kind of hoping so given it should be nz as the other qualifier and we get a phoenix crossland return game

Ive found an 85x60cm framed print in Newcastle and need to get it to Sydney,it has glass and no original box, so i am weighing u packandsend against asking a local framer to pack it first.
Has anyone sent a similar glass fronted piece with packandsend, and did you leave the glass in or have it removed?,mainly trying to avoid ending up with a broken frame and a mess to sort out at the other end.

Longshot, I know!
1.5 weeks ago my partner left my kindle on our flight from Brisbane to Rockhampton. Virgin has located it just 2 days ago in Newcastle.
Freight company wants to charge us $150 to get it from Newcastle to Brisbane.
Anyone happen to be flying in the next week that I could authorise to collect it from Newcastle and take it to Brisbane (we're flying out from there on Monday 2nd November to go overseas) or anywhere in Central Queensland? I'll spot you $50!
Or does anyone know of a courier service who will charge me less than $150...?
Thanks all

These spots are for parents with prams, not for someone who can’t park between the bloody lines. Taking up two spaces is an absolute piss-take.
Have a bit of a think about someone else for a change, cobber. It’s not that bloody hard to park properly. Pull your head in and show a bit of consideration! Maitland Riverside Plaza Sat 25/10 12:30pm-3:15pm

Any smaller shopping centres or shopping streets that haven't changed much since late 90s and early 2000s?
I want to go for a stroll through nostalgia!

After recommendations
Somewhere that can help with anxiety, depression, insomnia and PTSD.
Hoping for a nicer place that doesn’t feel like a hospital and hopefully isn’t too far away.
Feel free to PM me if you prefer

Hi everyone!
I m an international student who will be starting at the University of Newcastle’s Callaghan campus in January 2027. I’m planning to arrive about two weeks before the semester starts and would appreciate some advice on accommodation.
I am currently deciding between staying in university accommodation and renting a room in a nearby suburb.
I have a few questions:
On-campus accommodation: Which student residences would you recommend? How are the room conditions, cleanliness, facilities and overall living environment? Is it worth the price?
Off-campus accommodation: Which suburbs would you recommend for students living near Callaghan? I’ve heard of Jesmond, Shortland and Birmingham Gardens. Are these areas suitable for international students?
Public transport: If I rent a room off campus, is it easy to take the bus to the university? How reliable and frequent are the buses, especially for early morning classes or travelling home in the evening?
Rental costs: What is the typical weekly rent for a room in a shared house compared with university accommodation? Are utilities and internet usually included?
Safety: How safe is it to live off campus, particularly for someone new to Newcastle? Are there any areas or situations I should be cautious about?
Overall recommendation: For a first-year international student, would you recommend staying on campus initially or renting privately from the beginning?
I would also appreciate any advice on finding accommodation for the two weeks before classes start.
If you’re currently studying at UON or have lived in Newcastle as an international student, I’d love to hear about your experiences.
