IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! ITS NFL SEASON! Whether your team is still undefeated (wtf Vikings) or winless (wtf Chargers), what better way to enjoy your football but with a side of more football?

The International Simulation Football League (ISFL) is a free (no pay elements at all), community run sim league where you create your own professional football player and guide their career from pre-draft hopeful to championship contender. Go through real drafts, join teams managed by real users, and fight for a chance to hoist the Ultimus Trophy. The league has been going strong since 2016, and the upcoming offseason is a great time to jump in as part of the next rookie class. A very bare bones way to describe our league is its a cross between an RPG and fantasy football, with a healthy serving of an online community.

What does that actually look like?

You'll start by creating a player on our portal; with 30+ position and archetype combinations available, there's a lot of room to build something that fits your style. Want to be a ball hawk safety? A receiving back? A strong legged kicker? Go for whatever sounds the most fun.

Once your player is created, GMs from our developmental league teams will start scouting you for the DSFL Draft. From there, your player competes in games simulated in Draft Day Sports Pro Football 2021 and streamed on our YouTube channel five nights a week, Monday through Friday, with live commentary on Discord. Each season runs about 6 weeks including playoffs, followed by a 2 week offseason capped off by the DSFL and ISFL drafts.

Over the course of your career, you'll earn skill points by spending about 15-30 minutes a week on optional activities; things like predicting game outcomes, responding to fun prompts, or mocking the first round of the draft. You can also earn league currency through your player's contracts or by creating content like articles, graphics, or podcasts. Use it to upgrade your player or collect trading cards of other ISFL players. The league is completely free; no pay-to-win, no hidden costs, nothing to unlock with real money.

What about the community?

With 22 teams across the developmental and pro leagues, the ISFL is home to an active, welcoming group of people who enjoy getting a bit nerdy about football. You'll form bonds with your teammates, dig into stats and league history on our wiki, play fantasy football with yours and others' players, and have a community to chat with daily. It's as much a hangout as it is a football league.

Would there typically be any more discounts or is this as good as it gets?

Slightly hyperbolic, but in previous years if I wanted to go back and rewatch or catch up on Redzone after it aired, there was a section or video link on the “Games” section for each week. Now I have to manually search for Redzone via the search function despite the fact that I’ve highlighted it as a favourite.

Am I missing something? Is there an easier way to find Redzone other than when it’s live and shows on the front screen?

Trying to watch this without spoilers. So far I've had to start it twice while covering the screen so I can rewind from the third quarter to the beginning without seeing the score.

And now I'm getting the audio from later in the game over the video of the beginning. I've already heard Joe Buck announce a score that I didn't want to know about. Anyone who knows what happens able to tell me if this gets sorted out later in the video or shall I just watch it all on mute?

Kill me if I have to watch another Kimi Raikkonen Mercedes advert.. it wears you down honestly.. I've got to the point where I'm hoping the game I want to watch is on channel 5 coverage just so I don't have to watch that advert 65 times during a game. People advise you can pause your feed 60 seconds or rewind it a bit and you get the American adverts, but I can assure you on Apple TV you cannot. You have to watch this dreadful advert over and over again

Amazing experience finally getting to watch my Steelers in Paris yesterday. However due to the pop up store closing Saturday and the queues / poorly stocked merchandise huts I was unable to grab a towel. If anyone bought a bunch (as many did) and miscounted in a drunken / excited state and has one too many I would love to buy one. Fingers crossed

Is anyone else not getting any commentary on the saints game on YouTube? It’s just stadium noise

I live in UK and have a current subscription to Gamepass via YouTube.

I am on holiday elsewhere in Europe just now, and when I went to the Gamepass channel it told me there was no content - assume this means it’s not available in this location by default.

So I downloaded a vpn and set it to the UK so I could watch, only Gamepass blocks everything when a VPN is detected.

So how can I watch my subscription while on holiday? Surely there’s a legitimate way to access the content I’ve paid for while briefly abroad?!

Who dat! 1:30pm kickoff 🏈⚜️

As an NFL Rookie fan I have been watching some of the more famous Super Bowl plays, as I think as someone relatively new to the game its fun to see these as the As a fairly new NFL fan, I’ve been going back through some of the most famous Super Bowl moments. I've been finding nostalgia pulls you in and you start to feel why people love it.

I love the story to this one, as it is John Elway's 4th time in Super Bowl XXXII, Broncos vs Packers, back in 1998. He’d lost the other three, and he ends up doing something so spectacular.

It gained about eight yards and it didn’t score, and he didn’t even win MVP that night. But its pretty cool.

Hope this post is ok. Figured some of your younger members may be interested.

We need your help

Each year me and a few friends meet up in an UK city to watch the earlier Saturday night playoff game in January.

We don’t know where to go this year - where is a bar/pub which you can guarantee will have a good atmosphere?

Not in London please.

Been emailed about Gamepass being £4.99 for the next three months but then renewing at £21.99. Has anyone signed up to the monthly plan, would I be offer to cancel after 3 months or am I locked in to paying £21.99 for the next 9 months after it? I know it says 12 months contract but wondered if there’d be a way around it.

Anyone else thinking the Hurts debacle could spell the end of the London games ?

If the ticket fiasco wasn’t enough to warrant a full audit this certainly will.

Jaguars aside, I can honestly see teams and executives think twice about coming over here now. Back and forth between lawyers and the NFL regarding safety and welfare etc. I can see the NFLPA coming out with a statement about overseas travel - how many England players have pulled up or gone missing the game before an international match somewhere? - I can see it happening to players as well, mystery pain the week before flying over here, and quite frankly I don’t blame them, this is extremely serious for Jalen and I wish him well.

I hope they do continue the London games as they have been great for us UK fans to get a glimpse of what game day is like, however I think it’s not looking good.

On a Bye: Bills, Jaguars, Chargers, Commanders
