Film I think there’s still a sliver of hope for Ward. There are some positives there that he can build on.

IIRC this is the first week he could be activated from IR. I haven't heard anything about the severity of his injury/how far away he is from returning. Mafi has played okay in his place but it would be nice to get a promising rookie back.

Edit: 0.16 not 0.19. Also, tied for the worst in yards/attempt

Obviously, the season hasn’t gone how we hoped it would. Still, one metric you can use to evaluate a coach is how well he covers the spread. One thing that feels different about this season is that the games are closer, and the record against the spread (ATS) reflects that, where we covered against the Eagles, Ravens, and Colts. Meanwhile Brian Callahan posted an abominable 2-15 record ATS, the worst single season record in the Super Bowl era. His last 6 games left him with a 4-19 record, the worst of any coach in the Super Bowl era.
For what this means going forward: Cincinnati is hosting us as 10 point favorites, and if Saleh’s squad puts up at least a 9 point loss, he will have tied Brian Callahan’s tenure as the Titans head coach. Granted, his current record against the spread here isn’t significantly better than his time with the Jets: 22-33-1 ATS (.402 in NY vs .429 here). We’ve gotten a perfectly middling head coach, which compared to Matt Nagy after 2018 was 17-32-1 ATS for a .347 could have been much worse.
TL;DR I don’t see Saleh as a long term solution on the sidelines, but for someone who can help rebuild a culture and make games competitive, we could do a lot worse.

Man, I know a lot of you just, uh, like watch the games, man, on TV, but, man, I was listening on the radio in the, uh, like, car yesterday, man, and uh it just made me want to, like, uh, throw out a question, man, about Ramon Foster. Man, I could completely, like, completely, man, understand putting, like, a Pittsburgh Steeler in that seat, man, I mean, really, man ... if he uh, like, man if he was, like, a, uh, really good broadcaster, man. But, this, uh, I mean, like, really, man, doesn't seem to be, uh, the case, man.

"They allowed 7 total pressures but 6 of them were just hurries & only allowed 1 QB hit & zero sacks. It’s the 3rd time out of 7 games that #CamWard has not been sacked in a game. Ward only had 2 out of 17 games last season where he wasn’t sacked.
RT JC Latham & LG Peter Skoronski were awesome. Neither allowed a pressure. LT Dan Moore only allowed 1 hurry. C Austin Schlottmann allowed 2 pressures, 1 QB hit & 1 hurry. RG Atonio Mafi allowed 4 hurries.
The run blocking was great as well. Not only was the Oline blocking opening up holes consistently but the TEs & WRs had some solid blocking reps as well.
Anyone still blaming the Oline this season is absolutely wrong 🤷🏼♂️"

Hello Titans community! I'm a Patriots fan and I'm bored and I have a quick question about a theory of mine. I remember seeing a few Titans flair users in the NFL sub last year after the Patriots signed Mike Vrabel making comments about how firing Vrabel wasn't quite as dumb as outsiders thought. In part because of a "boys club" that Vrabel seemed to have in relation to players he likes versus doesn't like. It's starting to seem really clear that for some reason he doesn't like Treveyon Henderson. Is this boys club something most of you are familiar with and did it ever seem like talented players were on the outside looking in? Could a player ever find their way into the club after being excluded for any reason? I'm just dumbfounded over his refusal to use Henderson much or to his strengths as a player. I appreciate your time and responses if you have any!

Will miss this place. Lots of memories here. He took me for so many games over the years, and I got to take him to our final game at The Coliseum.
Titan up forever.

I'm glad we went for it when we were at the goal line, but did it cost the game?

First off, this is not against Cam Ward. The Titans were expecting some improvements over the offseason for the offense and specifically Cam Ward. Looks like Cam Ward isn’t able to be consistent enough to perform at his best each weekend. Has Ward regressed? Yes, his regressions are apparent. No doubt. But. The Titans might be 4-3 or 5-2 with a veteran quarterback, but just because the team would be winning, does not mean this team would win in the 1st round of the playoffs or a wildcard match.
For instance. Trevor Lawrence had a sizable losing record before the Jaguars and Lawrence hosted multiple winning seasons. But the difference between Ward and Lawrence is production. Lawrence is an accurate and polished passer, even when he first came to the league. Ward has never played in the same offense in consecutive seasons ever in his career.
Why is that important? Cam Ward has never been in an offense tailored to his strengths and always had to adapt to offensive schemes. Ward has shown a lot of improvements in key areas from last season, but his overall regression has impacted his ability as a passer to be polished and well rounded. And now it seems like Ward make or break season is his third year. What does this mean for the Titans? We need a serviceable, reliable, and proven veteran quarterback commodity to force Ward to lose the starting quarterback position and force Ward to fight for it. I love Ward as a player and as a person, but he needs to be challenged for his starting position.
As for the rest of the offense, areas of concern would be RB1, TE1, and OL depth pieces. You can make an argument for a WR1A and WR1B. Tate is our WR1, and know fans want Smith as the WR1A and Tate as WR1B. I will be completely honest, I love Simmons, I truly love this man as the face of the franchise, but…. If a team was desperate to send a package deal for Simmons, the Titans should listen to offers especially if it involves 2 1st Rd picks. But Simmons is having a career year, the biggest concern on the defense is pass rushers, cornerbacks due to miscommunication, and depth across the DL and EDGE.
The Team has been fairly competitive and close in many games this year aside from two. But the Titans aren’t far off from being able to win close games. At the end of the day, it comes to the offense scoring points. While the defense has been given up points and yards, the defense has handed the offense to score at least 4-6 touchdowns that were left off the field due to the drive stalling or a turnover occurred.

It seems the Chiefs are in need of a wide receiver and we clearly are far away from completing in any serious way. Thoughts on trying to send Ridley to Chiefs for some draft stock?

Do you think we have the cap space and roster to compete next year with a Tannehill-like player at QB? Or is the roster still too weak?
