I forgot to post on Fallout Day, but, my baby brahmin just came in, so everything works out in the end.

This is a sample of my custom project Fallout AG, following Amelia, a 10 year old merchant in the 2286 Whiskysun (Wisconsin) wasteland, who discovers a sinister plot to control the Midwest Commonwealth. Can this American wasteland girl save the day or will this be another example of war never changing?

3D prints were done at 1/3rd scale and I'll be happy to share the links if requested. The brahmin was a custom commissioned item using two American girl branded calves. The outfit was designed by me and commissioned. More to come as I sand down and paint my prints.

Just finished it, male Sole Survivor, pre-finding Shaun (there are different story branches depending on SS's gender and story progression). Damn I was impressed!

Honestly, that feels like the best official DLC for Fallout 4 (in terms of plot at least), a fantastic piece of general Fallout lore, and a great story overall. Won't be spoiling it, just a few points:

- It provides a great insight on the process of FEV mutation affecting the victim's mind, shown from the first person perspective. Now you can see what sort of imaginary friends did Lily or God and Dog have. And it's REALLY well done.

- It has a lot of lore on pre-War US, and it's really thoughtful. Too often it deteriorates into outright satire in Fallout, but here, it makes a lot of sense and shows US was a deeply flawed state, but not a dystopian caricature - hey, they even had super mutant resocialization tests.

- There are vibes of classic DLCs like Point Lookout, Old World Blues and Dead Money, as well as nods to some fan theories - including the good time in the park, and Nate in US military propaganda.

- The gameplay is smooth but linear, there are some great scripted scenes, some nice puzzles, and one really annoying puzzle. The end boss is rather well done. Sadly, there is very little memorable loot - like one new modular armor, one new plasma rifle, and some misc stuff. No workshop items or such.

- Nate's and Nora's VOs return, and there is far more voiced content, like comments on most situations outside dialogue.

- Private Gutsy is awesome.

It's on the Creation Club, it's official, it's canon and it's free. It feels like an awesome gift for Fallout 4's 11th anniversary, surprised Bethesda didn't advertise it much!

IMPORTANT: don't start it with a character who has too many items on them (like, hundreds). Removing them in the beginning will make the game freeze.

I have made a habit of securing original copies of the songs used throughout the series. Yes, I do have I Don't Want To Set The World On Fire, but I wanted to show one that probably hasn't been seen before. I have a lot of songs in my collection, but still trying to get some of the rarer stuff.

One of my good friends had been doing good and struggling and his Bday was on the 23rd. Days the bombs dropped. Huge fallout fan and he earned it. Party was amazing.

I must have LCK 10 to have a dad this cool :)

Home made Vault-tec salesman drinking a Quantum (fountain), mutated swamp creatures and a Vault dweller. Still have a ghoul, a radcoon, and a Vault door to add. Not featured is a Betsy Ross flag flown with a Vault-tec flag as well.

“Of the people, for the people!”

Hi guys, I want to show you my custom Fallout 4 John Hancock figure (scale 1:18). He’s one of my two favourite companions in the game, so I really enjoyed bringing him to life.

I sculpted his face myself using Milliput. His body is made from a Chap Mei pirate figure, parts of two Pirates of the Caribbean figures, and the hands of a Star Wars Snoke figure. I repainted everything myself.

Looking back I really don't know what went through my head. I could've gotten it for like $5 or less and painted it a bit

Using some Wasteland ingenuity lol. The bracers and the pauldrons are the only parts left and I have three days left until the convention. Just ignore how shite it looks 🤣.

These are all (mostly) PLA 3D printed using a P1S printer and painted (generally using acrylic and “Xtreme metal” AK paint) by hand and airbrush (Neo Iwata CN).

I guess I should write a little about the props themselves.

·         Plasma Pistol

The pistol was my first real attempt at making a prop. I actually posted about this one about a year ago. I painted it all by hand, it was before I acquired my first airbrush (my god, so much easier over larger surfaces and gaining that metallic finish).

The hoses are actually electrical cords, wrapped in Denso tape (I do not recommend doing that, horrible, expensive and messy idea). Hopefully they at least look good in the photos.

I got the model from LILYKILL on Cults3d.

·         Plasma Rifle

The Rifle is entirely overpainted PLA, except the metal needle at the end and the green painted electrical cord. As you can probably see in the turntable, the rifle is not exactly a 1:1, as I realized way too late that the in-game version only has the three vertical tubes on the right side… whatever, it looks and feels right though.

The model for the rifle is from Sliceables on Cults3d.

·         Remnants Tesla Helmet

Now the model for the helmet has a bit of a layered history.

See it was originally modeled by Cryostatic on Skecthfab, based on the Fallout 2 APA helmet.

The model was then made printable by AntthonyGallego on Cults3d.

But when I downloaded it, I wanted to make it look more like the New Vegas tesla version instead of the Fallout 2 version.

So, I had to modify parts of it, specifically the beak had to be about 10% narrower to fit in a gasket.

I then modeled from scratch the side chin filters, my interpretation of what the round black head cap thingy is and of course, most importantly, the tesla coils.

The solution for the eye lenses for the original model involved the use of bucks that would be vacuum pressed against a hot acrylic plastic sheet. Now I don’t currently have the tools for that, so I instead opted to re-model the bucks themselves into the lenses and then resin print them using translucent resin mixed with a bit of orange colorant (Elegoo ABS-like V3 with 3DJAKE orange colorant) on my Mars 3 printer.

The lenses then had to be sandpapered by hand from about 400, all the way up to 5000 grits before they were clear coated three layers over a day. They actually work, it’s not perfect (probably because they were my first ever resin print and attempt at this process), but it works.

The helmet is wearable and you can see through the lenses.

Moving over to the hoses. The big one is a Dewalt 48mm Superflex (Trust me when I say you need to use a Superflex hose for this, I’ve wasted so much time trying to make other types fit and bend correctly).

The small one on the side is a real 40mm GP-5 Gas Mask hose.

I’ll probably upload the couple of files I modified, the re-modeled lenses and my own parts for the Tesla Helmet for the hypothetically two people on the planet that are interested in recreating this (you’ll still need to get Antthony’s model though, I’m not a pirate).

The front image is (aside from the watermark, logo, icons and texts) not edited. The tesla coils and plasma chambers are printed using glow-in-the-dark PLA. They actually look even better irl.

I used a UV flashlight to charge them before taking the picture.

I’ve learned so much since starting these projects and it’s honestly been such a great time working on them. Therapeutic, even.

They're just so cute and huggable looking, and their little waddle is so adorable and they're just so dedicated to whatever job you give them. God I love them so much.

We don’t need to talk about how many hours it took me to realize this…

It seems like every October I start a new character for fallout 4. This character is my 1st time playing on Playstation. I'd noticed thr anniversary edition was on sale for 29.99 so I figured I'd get it. I have come across some stuff I've not seen in my previous many 100s of hours, like a man and his daughter, Clinton and Charlie I think. Plus i found some random traders in the hills outside of vault 111. And while many don't like Preston, I'm all about those settlements. I think thats part of why I started again, had a craving to build up the wasteland!

My birthday was October 23rd so as a huge Fallout fan I just had to make myself a fallout inspired birthday cake/pie. I improvised a little, but I'm happy about the result! (and it tasted perfect :p)
