Was mag sie? Was beschäftigt sie?

Meta / Discussion vibecoded mods should be banned
it's annoying that you have to suspect every mod that doesn't have a source code, and it feels like 99% of the things are just vibecoded now.

Complaint I just realized we've been shipping AI slop :(
I primarily use Opus 5.5, and our team has an agent that reviews code automatically.
Today it created two temp variables for an expression I would've inlined. Such a basic thing even an intern wouldn't do.
Tbh, I don't pay much attention to readability in AI-generated code because we're working on a tight deadline, and it's tight even without code review.
But since this was a small change, I paid a few seconds of attention, and damn, so many best practices were violated.
A separate way to practice this kind of scrutiny is a Pinterest SWE question on reviewing AI-generated LRU/LFU cache changes, which asks you to check invariants, tests, and benchmark assumptions. For readers applying to AI engineering roles, application autofill can reduce repeated form entry.
Now I'm truly disappointed that we've been shipping garbage for months :(

discussion $85,000 is the BARE MINIMUM salary needed to be a middle class, childless renter in 2026
Assumptions:
NOTHING saved or put away for future home ownership
VERY conservative on the cost of being in a relationship, I know guys spending that much on a single date night, not for the whole month
No hobbies listed (a lot of you guys have extremely cheap hobbies like “play video games”, real human beings often have more outdoor type hobbies that actually cost money)
I put all the percentages for each category on the right side of the chart since inevitably someone will come in and nitpick one of the line items (“bro, you’re spending THAT much on a haircut?! I can ignore everything else you’re saying, bro!”) but with the percents there we can see they’re nitpicking at like 0.2% of the monthly budget. Most on here are numerically illiterate and don’t actually understand what it costs to live a middle class lifestyle.
Feel free to explain what you disagree with on this chart or which item you don’t consider necessary for living a middle class lifestyle.

Forever PvE Balancing Is the Root of Homogenization
Spicy one for you. Prepare the downvotes.
People keep saying not to balance the game for PvP because that's how you end up with homogenized classes. Those same people will beg for their hybrids to do within 5% dps of pure DPS classes and then demand that each class bring it's own unique raid buff because otherwise "they won't get invited to raid".
When the first raid is out, people are going to beg for nerfs and buffs based on parses and overall damage. "B-b-but it's not fair that rogue has no AoE when the hardest boss is an AoE fight!!" another class will say "I have ZERO mobility! I can't keep up with bosses anymore I need heroic leap or something" and so on and so forth. People will go on and on about how they need the same tools as X class because they don't get invited to raids or they get passed up for on loot. These will be massively upvoted threads. This is why PvP in retail feels like a M+ cleave fest now where everyone has a heal, a defensive, and a "go". Not because of PvP-specific balance, but because of PvE balance.
^^ This is what causes homogenization in the game btw. Not PvP. PvP is the one area of the game where a reduction in homogenization actually makes classes stronger and stand out more. Warrior gets stuck in roots? Get a paladin to cleanse them. Fine tuned DPS numbers don't matter when a class is using it's entire kit in an fight.

Lazy wore £400K to her Three Peaks outing 🚁 📸
Why she’s reposting photos from this event again is curious. After her 100-minute visit to Ipswich, I suppose this post would count as one event to the Court Circular?
But a good reminder to tally her outfit, just like what the tabs do 😉 while her husband evicts long-term tenants in Devon.
EDIT:

Serious How is bigoted bullshit like this allowed here??? Spoiler
Spoilered, cause the image is frankly very uncomfortable to look at.
Apply the exact same principal to most other minority groups, and it gets taken down, but when it’s specifically Gender Non Conforming people, awful bigoted shit like this is allowed.
Imagine if someone made a post saying “the average black person” and it just said stuff like, “eats fried chicken”, looks like (insert racist caricature here), other whatnot racist stereotypes. That’s not allowed, but the exact same thing against Gender Non Conforming people is suddenly allowed?
This is appalling.

- Isporučiti ratne zločince i osuđenike Hrvatskoj

Discussion will olivia rodrigo's fanbase last?
DISCLAIMER: I love Olivia Rodrigo. Have done since Driver's License. Drop Dead will definitely be my top song and I think YSPSFAGSIL is album of the year no question. On top of that, I admire her balls for being unapologetic about her stances. Do not take this as me slandering her because I think she deserves a better fanbase.
All that said, I think a chunk of her fanbase, at least online (which I know is not a 1-1 reflection of real life), aren't as much fans of her as they are haters of Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift. You open a video of the Unravelled tour and it's not uncommon for one of the top comments to be "Taylor Swift wishes she could do this!" or variations upon it. It's also not uncommon for Livie accounts to be the loudest when it comes to Sabrina Carpenter backlash (after the wine moms ad dudebros have had their fun). And I am not saying you have to be a fan of every artist in the world or even every pop girlie. But if your fave is on tour and your first thought it about another artist, you do have to ask yourself how much of a fan you are.
I think this part of Olivia's fanbase are trying to position her as the anti-Carpenter/Swift. The one who is In It For The Music, the One True Pop Girl who's just not like the rest. And I am not sure how long this can last. As Megan Thee Stallion said, "they're ot pro-you, they're anti-me".
I believe Olivia will go on to have a long and successful career, she's clearly only going from strength to strength. But I do wonder if this part of her fanbase will crumble away with nothing to sustain them, or worse, turn on her.

Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse (2026) The game does not have difficult platforming, you're just bad.
There are so many people complaining about the platforming when it literally isn't that bad. Like it is way easier than any of the platforming in the classicvanias, play castlevania on the NES or play Rondo of Blood and then get back to me, this complaint is so tired.
Some of you have never played a game that had actually difficult platforming and it really shows.
