Fluff Is it worth it at this price point?
Been waiting for a decent steam sale, and this one popped up on my wishlist! Anyone have any thoughts?

I’ve bought all the profile customization items, a bunch of avatars, and so on, but I still have tons of points left. What should I do now? Should I just keep buying the seasonal badge every year for the XP, or is there something else?

I would love it so much for profile customization if the showcase titles would be gone. The profile would look much cleaner and less cluttered.

A game I previously 100% but removed from my library is now showing up in my 100%ed games after the update. I can’t see it in my library to try and remove it again, and I can’t see it it the store page (because I haven’t verified my age with a credit card)

Hi guys ,
I noticed sometimes steam would have game covers that don’t fit properly , I know we have some decky plugins that where you can manually update the covers, but is there any solutions to address this as a batch cover update ?
As some of you might've noticed, there is a new thing in the steam wishlist, where it will shows you the best deal you can get on a game, including bundles, so you can get a better price.
In theory that's great, but it seems the implementation is not quite there.
As you can see in the images, its saying "space Marine" and "Clair Obscur" are -40% and -29% off, but in reality they are -0.01 and -0.51 cents discounted (with a second to most people irrelevant game for free basically).
I don't know if it is intentional or accidental, and I couldn't find a proper way to report this to Valve (none of the options under "Get Support" are for issues with the market/client).

This was one of mine (and I'm sure many others) recommendation in the feedback thread when Steam removed the percentage originally, That personally I don't care either way for the percentage but I know that others do, so having the option to display it or not would be a nice addition to have while they are working on the system
Most of these games are categorized as Online Co-op which is way too broad and makes them impossible to filter out efficiently
No I don't want to party up, and the few times I do I still won't buy a 8$ game to play for 1 hour.

Hey guys,
I was checking through some old bookmarked Steam profiles today and noticed something surprising about how Steam displays profile bans long-term.
One of the profiles I had saved originally had a clear red "1 VAC ban on record" banner showing over 2,500 days ago. But when I visited the profile page today, the red notice was completely gone, leaving the profile status looking totally clean to the public.
I was pretty confused at first because Valve always states that VAC bans are permanent. After looking into how Steam's interface works, it turns out that while the backend ban restrictions remain 100% permanent (the account still can't play on VAC servers or trade items for that game), Steam automatically hides the public red badge on profile pages once exactly 7 years (2,555 days) have passed.
I always thought those public banners stayed on profiles forever. Had anyone else noticed this automatic UI cleanup before?

I saw the other post while I was in the middle of buying another game on Steam. This has bugged me quite often in the past, but I've never seen anyone really talking about it: Steam updates hit my system performance hard.
Limited laptop CPU performance (13th-gen Intel), VPN decryption (WireGuard), and decompression of downloaded updates make for quite a combination.
I've tried limiting the download bandwidth, with some success. Capping it at 100 Mbit/s allows me to listen to music or watch a video, which isn't possible when letting Steam process data at 250 Mbit/s.
My SSD is a Samsung 990 Pro 4 TB, and according to atop, NVMe I/O is fine. The limiting factor seems to be IRQ handling.
Maybe Valve could improve this by optimizing CPU core utilization (not all cores are being utilized) and better scheduling the workloads. An option for "slow updates", separating the download and decompression phases, would be particularly useful.

Does anyone know how to disable bug picture mode screensavers? Ive gone through all source files and the customization section and there is no option for me to conpletely disable steam screensavers. I play on a rog ally x so when the screensaver turns on it stops my downloads as its best to not have background downloading on for performance and its just like bro why the fuck is this feature here🤦 i guess if anyone has any suggestions im open to them. Thanks.
