Does anyone have experience with the EmPOWER Maryland program that provides rebates for switching from fossil fuel heating to electric heating? I have BGE and their ENERGY STAR program claims to offer up to $15,000 in rebates for switching. I have an oil furnace that is failing so I’m hoping this program is legit and could offset a large chunk of the installation of a heat pump system.

The only thing I can think of is the cold got to her I let outside to play yesterday and she’s been having such a runny nose and threw up a few times

My partner and I run the Farmers Market Supper Club, a local community project built around bringing people together over food.

We’re hosting a Meatless Thanksgiving Feast at Red Emma’s on November 11, and we’d love to have some new faces at the table!

The idea is simple: bring a vegetarian or vegan dish featuring at least one ingredient from a local farmers market, share a meal, and meet people you might not otherwise cross paths with.

We’re trying to make Baltimore’s biggest Friendsgiving happen. You can come with friends or show up solo. And at the end of the evening, you’ll leave with a whole new friend group!

My daughter asked me to find her a black on black City College Hoodie for Xmas this year. She says she saw a few at school and really likes it. But Herman’s doesn’t seem to carry it and we don’t know where they come from. She described a black hoodie with “City” written in the classic gothic font. But there’s no orange letters or accents. 🛍️ **Shopping:** Unique boutiques, independent shops, home decor, specialty stores, and hidden gems. Especially children's boutiques with unique clothing and gifts for her 4-year-old twin boys and baby girl on the way!

🍽️ **Food:** A HUGE priority! Incredible, flavorful food, whether it's a hole-in-the-wall, family-owned restaurant, bakery, or longtime local favorite. Quality matters more than anything!

✨ **Exploring:** Charming towns, walkable shopping areas, markets, interesting shops, and unique things to do.

**Our plans:**
- **Before 3 PM:** Just my sister and me.
- **After 3 PM:** My 5-year-old joins us.
- My sister is 7 months pregnant but can walk around just fine!

**What I'd REALLY love:** Recommendations you wouldn't necessarily find through Google! Lesser-known local favorites, tucked-away boutiques, overlooked restaurants, and places most people don't know exist. Popular spots are welcome too if they're genuinely worth visiting.

my boyfriend and i are moving out of baltimore by next fall and have 2 properties looking for property management recommendations. we have renters in one home that we manage and we live in the second. we are definitely wanting to keep one home for longterm rentals (i.e 1 year leases) and the second property for possibly short term rentals for traveling healthcare professionals or as another long term (second property is in a more desirable area and is newer and nicer lol). anyone have firms they enjoy working with that manage their properties for airbnb, vrbo, renting etc?
