I am so turned on, I know this is wrong. Kindly knock some sense in me. Thanks!

I have an ex. We do not know how to be exes. He is in a happy relationship, he always, I repeat ALWAYS comes to fuck me whenever him and I are in the same city. I was disgusted by the fact that he just uses me for sex which he claims he doesn’t. He says he misses me. I had cut all ties, had blocked him and all. Now he just put me in an avoidable situation so had to listen to him. Dude the way this man had begged for it and had surrendered was just wow. He confessed that he cums with her thinking of me. My gawdd I was soooooo bloody turned on but I still, I still kept things in control and did not do anything. Please please knock sense in me that I should not believe him and he is an ass.

i can’t tell if i cheated on someone i talked to a few years ago

this all happened over the span of about a month when i first started college, so i was 18. i am now 20. i started talking to a guy, and it seemed kinda casual, but i was hoping it may lead to us dating, as i had never had a boyfriend before, and didnt get my first (now) boyfriend until over a year later. we talked for a few weeks, texted during the week and then he would stay the night at my dorm after clubbing on the weekends. one night i didn’t go out, and my friends found him dancing and flirting with other girls at the club and trying to go home with them. i ended up confronting him later that night with my friend, since i was upset (i didn’t have a right to be upset though because we weren’t dating) and got food with him, and we talked about where he was going to stay for the night. i ended up saying i didn’t want him to stay at my dorm, and he had to sleep in his car, which he was rightfully upset as there was three people sleeping in the car. i ended up saying something along the lines of “it’s fine, just don’t do it again” likely saying that if he wanted to stay at my dorm the next weekend. i don’t remember every detail of what we said since i was a little high, and i suspect he was also drunk since he was clubbing an hour earlier. however, the next few days my roommate and i were analyzing everything, and we figured he was never truly interested in me at all, rather he was using me as a place to stay after clubbing and maybe try and have sex too. so, i was pissed and figured we would never end up working out, and i’d probably end up cutting him off at some point, sooner rather than later. a week after i confronted him, i went out and had the opportunity to go home with someone else. i went home with them partly because i was hurt, partly because i wanted revenge, and partly because i figured “i’d just finish what he started”. the next few days however, i felt extremely guilty about what i did and texted him to cut everything off. we were in contact for about a total of a month.

i know what i did was hypocritical and vengeful at the least, but im terrified that i cheated. is it possible to cheat on someone you’re not officially dating? i know the whole time i had the impression that i was still single, but im terrified that the confrontation ended up making us exclusive and i didn’t realize/ forgot the next day. i don’t remember us agreeing to be exclusive, but not remembering doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

this is by far the worst thing ive ever done, and it’s tearing me up. i don’t want to give the details of how much it’s affecting me because i don’t want sympathy bias. i also feel extremely guilty for thinking about this so much, because im still with my first boyfriend (who im also terrified of cheating on) and im worried this counts as thinking about other men.

my mom and my therapist said i didnt cheat, it wasnt nice, but i didnt cheat. however im still terrified that perhaps theyre biased or theyre lying to me because they know my worst fear is cheating. any advice is appreciated, especially ones that define certainty as ive googled this hundreds of times within the last week.

My cousin's mother is dying, and I want it to happen

I have this older cousin of mine whom I was quite close with in childhood. Circumstances caused our paths to diverge, but our family has remained close and we gather often.

The cards he is dealt, man—if I were him I would have folded. I think he is below 5'3", perhaps 5'2", and not good-looking either. But I know he wants to win, and props to him for that.

You know how some rocks, no matter how hard you try to sink them, just float? Every relationship he had ended up with him abandoned or betrayed. Every degree or program he pursued was halted or failed: the world has this gate that just wouldn't let him pass.

---

All of the above is how I imagined my younger cousin would think of me. Ever since he was born, I have only felt shame.

I was envious of his silver spoon, his eloquence, his looks and height. I took art in high school and I did quite well, it was one of the very few things I could be proud of, until he chose art too.

To this day, I think he did that to humiliate me.

Somehow he managed to shock his whole school with his paintings, his works are celebrated throughout our family: the more brightly the spotlights were cast on him, the colder and more neglected I felt.

He is dashing socially and academically, went to a top university: the 'specimen' of that neighbour's child. I would have traded places with him if I could.

Recently, his mother was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer, stage IV. Our family was torn up, but somehow I felt light, or relieved, as if God has a way of balancing things.

I expressed my 'worries' to him and asked if he is doing okay, but he did not seem broken. I questioned if he was 'repressing his emotions', or whether he 'is in denial'. But he seemed perfectly self-aware, at least to me, and doubted 'whether pathologising is useful'—I felt how useless my psychology degree was for the first time.

I hate to admit it, but after that, the 'lightness' I felt vanished.

It seems the only thing chemotherapy is shattering is their family's finances. He carried on with his academic and freelance work and seems to be doing okay. I believe their family is managing too.

I think I have an addiction to soft tricking, but I don’t know if I need to stop

In the past 7 days or so I’ve sent money to about 5-6 different women. Maybe around $360 total split between all of them

Some of them are partners I’ve already had sex with. Some I haven’t even met in person yet.

1 of them thinks we’re in a committed relationship. Others think we aren’t but exclusive sexually. Others believe I’m trying to build something more.

I send the money without them asking.

Is this bad ?

Im a straight woman and I want to hump a woman’s soft ass

I have always been infatuated with humping. I used to hump my pillows to masturbate, as it stimulated my clitoris on the outside and inside.

I have always love fat asses and twerking videos. I have recently discovered that I really want to have a woman with a big soft ass bent over or stand straight up, while i grab her hips and hump her soft ass on my bare clit. Or she bend over and twerk on my clit. The thought of that turns me on so much, though I dont know if I will ever get to the point of trying it.

I also would like to hump a woman standing up face to face, while i grab her ass and we hump clits together while kissing. I want to play with her ass and grab it and smack it and spread it and feel her asshole while we hump and grind clits. Just had to get this off my chest lol

Edit: yall thinking im a man is so funny to me😂 these are just my unfiltered desires guys idk what to tell you. i just like clitoral stimulation and I like womens asses and i have very specific fantasies pertaining to this. I would like my clit to be stimulated by a soft ass, not sure how thats so unbelievable, but there you go.🤷‍♀️

also, men cant even understand the sensation of a clitoris being stimulated via humping. It stimulates the clit externally and internally. they could never know or understand this sensation.

My homophobic bullies are successful in life.. I ripped into one of them online.

I was bullied mercilessly at school by a girl and her friend. She encouraged homophobia, laughed when I was beaten up, encouraged others to beat me up, mocked my grades and even joked about my father physically and sexually abusing me (he was)

Four years later, in 2008, I created a fake Facebook account and absolutely tore into her, repeatedly calling her ugly, stupid,, dirt and worthless. She initially laughed it off, but i went into a tirade saying that there is nothing that she could say that could embarrass me as I regarded her as the emabrassment, that her life was hideous.

She eventually retaliated with vicious homophobic insults and mocked my childhood abuse. I then contacted her friend, who joined in with threats, homophobic abuse and public humiliation. Things escalated into fake accounts, prank calls and insults on both sides before we eventually stopped contacting each other.

She now works in Deloitte and her freind works in a youth centre.

I find it tragic

I Laughed At A Dead body today and im not sure how i fell about it

I was on my way home with an acquaintance today, we were walking on our usual road today just talking about random stuff when we spotted a homeless looking person on the side of the road whos body was slanted in an unusual way like it didnt look right and was in a very weird position but i didnt think much of it till another guy walked up to the person and shouted "YEP HES GONE FOR SURE!" signaling to a distressed looking lady up front, it took a while to piece it all together but it clicked when i saw the ladys car had a dent in front of it and her panicked expression, then as if on impulse i burst out uncontrollably laughing at the whole thing as we walked past, but the person i was walking with seemed visibly shaken up by the whole situation and even called me out for laughing cuz apperently the lady heard me and even looked in our direction but i didnt notice, im home now and im thinking about the whole situation and i dont know how to feel about it. i dont even know why im posting about it rn maybe i wanna know if im just broken or wired differently or just straight up evil.

EDIT: the homeless guy was actually dead because i saw hes eyes were open adnd was unresponsive the other guy even confirmed it

EDIT 2: i genuinely thank you to everyone trying to help me make sense of the whole situation as it was a first for me and everybody trying to shame me for something i literally said was uncontrollable, i hope it makes you sleep better at night trying to make me feel bad cuz i really coundt careless about being evil or morbid or whatever word ur trying to label me as

I think I have a weird obsession with watching porn

I’ve never really admitted this to anyone, but I think I have a problem with how much I watch porn. The weirdest part is that I don’t even necessarily watch it to masturbate. Sometimes I just watch it because I feel like it, almost like someone else would watch YouTube or scroll through social media as a hobby.

I find myself wanting to watch it when I’m with friends, when I’m around family, and even when I’m out in public. It’s like the urge to watch it is always somewhere in the back of my mind, regardless of what I’m doing or who I’m around.

I can go out and spend time with people, but part of my attention is still on wanting to watch porn. Sometimes I wonder if I even enjoy it as much as I think I do, or if it’s just become a habit that I automatically go back to whenever I have the chance.

The strangest thing is that I’m not even doing it for the usual reason people might assume. I genuinely just like watching it. I don’t really know when it became such a regular part of my life, and I’ve started wondering whether my relationship with it is normal anymore.

I feel embarrassed admitting this because it sounds ridiculous when I actually put it into words, but it’s something I’ve noticed about myself and haven’t really talked about with anyone. 20F

I was Hospitalized with multifocal Pneumonia last week and weekend, I still find a way to want to crack a cigarette.

At 31, I was hospitalized two times within 6 days of each other. One I could not catch my breath at work and the other I woke up not breathing well enough for comfort. They put me on oxygen, my finger reading was low to mid 80s

They said I will be fine for now but I need to go in for an early COPD evaluation because they keep giving me these looks, these odd and strange or even pity looks.

And I still want a cigarette so damn bad I am smoking one right now. What is wrong with me lol

Indian international student appreciating white culture in Canada.

• Upvotes

Its been almost one and half year here in Canada as an international student from India. Will turn 19 this year end btw.

Well this goes without saying but my interest and respect both towards white community has increased.

It feels so wrong what my fellow Indians do to this beautiful country. I hear about the times how white people were majority and country was much better.

It feels so wrong to see the people who build this place have to hold frustration for people like us who don't even belong in Canada.

.Naturally I personally have alot of interest in white men.

I would confess that I check out white guys..and often when I interact with them I kinda get nervous or confused..I know it feels so stupid but still I can't stop staring like a creep at them lol.

Also.

But what I also admire is seeing

seeing white couples with themselves .I guess the idea of being white as pure. Feels right..

I just had to say it out here as it is easy and you can at least speak your mind.

Is that wierd to say or ask?

Relapsed on ketamine just before almost a year sober

I relapsed on ketamine yesterday after almost a year clean, and I’m struggling with so much shame, guilt, and fear. I’m devastated about restarting my day count, but I think what hurts most is feeling like I’m losing the person I worked so hard to become. I don’t know why I would do this when this drug almost ruined my life and I was so lucky to go to rehab.

The last couple of weeks I’ve been heavily struggling with feeling like I’ve been mourning the beginning of my addiction. I have also felt lonely and like I’m wearing a mask. I almost feel like a con artist because I give advice to others but I can’t follow my own. I also struggle with being vulnerable and suffering in silence. I know I should’ve reached out more for help but I still didn’t.

Throughout my recovery, I’ve shared my story, encouraged others, and tried to give people hope. I’ve received so much recognition, and I’m grateful that my experiences have helped people. But I think somewhere along the way, I started feeling like I had to live up to this image of being strong, inspiring, and almost cured. I wanted people to be proud of me, and I think I started tying my self-worth to that recognition. I was just so happy to see my loved ones being so proud of me too for once.

Now I feel like a fraud, even though I know the hope I gave others was real. I’m terrified to tell my, friends, sponsor, and family because I’m afraid they’ll see me differently. But I think I’m even more afraid of having to see myself differently. I feel so much guilt for keeping it to myself but so much anxiety and shame about the truth.

I grew up with my dad telling me I was going to be a failure. Part of me believed him, and I think I learned to work twice as hard to hide anything that might confirm what he said. I’ve always struggled with people-pleasing, putting others’ feelings before my own, and suffering in silence. I hate being the person who needs help. I’m much more comfortable giving advice and supporting others than admitting when I’m struggling myself.

I wonder if I’ve been trying so hard to prove I’m not a failure that I’ve made it difficult to accept being human. I know recovery isn’t about being cured, and I know almost a year of progress doesn’t disappear because of a relapse. But knowing that intellectually and actually believing it about myself are two different things.

I don’t want to keep wearing this mask or pretending I’m okay because I’m afraid of disappointing people. I just needed to admit this somewhere because carrying it alone has been exhausting.

Has anyone else experienced this? Have you ever built an identity around being the strong or inspirational person in recovery and then felt terrified that a relapse would take that identity away? How did you learn to separate your self-worth from your recovery progress and let people see you struggling without feeling like you’d failed?

I want to stop hiding. I’m just scared of what happens when I do. I know I’ve answered a lot of my own questions in ways but I’m just feeling really fucking lost. Thanks to anyone who reads this or responds.

I made a mistake, my partner has forgiven me, but I can't forgive myself. How do I move on?

I'm a 27-year-old gay guy, and I've always struggled with my emotions. I'm posting here because I'm genuinely struggling and could really use some honest advice from people who might have been through something similar.

A while ago, I was sharing a hotel with my mate's boyfriend. We'd both been drinking for a good part of the day. I had a double bed, while he had a single, but neither of us could sleep. He found his bed uncomfortable, so I offered to share mine, with me staying on one side and him on the other.

What started as a cuddle eventually turned into a kiss, and we crossed a line that we both knew we shouldn't have crossed.

We both felt ashamed and embarrassed about what had happened, so we called our partners at the same time and were honest about everything. We confessed rather than hiding it, and thankfully, both our partners forgave us.

The problem is that I can't seem to forgive myself.

I know I made a mistake, and I know I can't change what happened. I've tried so hard to move on, but the guilt keeps eating away at me. I keep going over everything in my head, wondering how I could have let it happen and feeling awful about the hurt and betrayal involved.

My mate and everyone around me keep telling me to move on and forget about it, but it's not that simple for me. I'm already struggling badly with depression, and this situation has made things so much worse. I've even attempted suicide because of how overwhelmed I've felt by everything.

I'm not saying any of this to excuse what I did or to get people to tell me I did nothing wrong. I know I made a mistake, and I take responsibility for that. I just don't know how to stop punishing myself for it.

How do you learn to forgive yourself when you genuinely regret something you've done? How do you stop replaying it in your head and allow yourself to be happy again, even when you know you've made a mistake?

I'm looking for genuine advice from anyone who's struggled with guilt, shame or forgiving themselves for something they've done. Please be honest with me, but I'd really appreciate some understanding too.

I know people will say to move on, but believe me, I've tried. I just don't know how to get there.

I was the reason me and my roommates toilet was broken and each person had to pay for the plumbing

I was not a billionaire back then and still is not but I was working at a supermarket and earned a low salary to pay for college. I shared a house with 4 people and we shared a bathroom. There was 1 bathroom for the 5 of us which meant we had to wait if one person was in the bathroom.

One time I needed to poo and someone was in it so I waited outside. The problem was I was bored and trying to hold it back so I was searching if there was something in my pocket to play with. I found a yo-yo that was in my pocket for a long time. It was round and light blue with a creepy smile on its face with some kind of weird water inside and a loop for my finger. I was playing with it until the person came out, and I should have put it safely in my pocket but for some random reason I just continued playing with it my hand.

I went in the toilet and pooped an atomic bomb and while I was pooping I was spinning it so hard the yo-yo got loose for my hand and fell directly in the toilet. I was like shit and I tried to grab it out but it was already in my damn poop. So I just flushed it hoping it would not block the toilet. I was so stupid to flush it and it actually flushed. I was like for the next 2 hours in my room thanking god.

But the next day my roommates called us to discuss something by then I had already forgotten about the yo-yo. They said that the toilet was broken and that it couldn’t flush. My face instantly turned red and felt so guilty. The roommate said that then house owner would call a plumber to come and check but we had to pay it. We all had to pay the 1/5 of the price I felt so bad. I gave my money and my roommates also gave it while complaining that they saved a weeks meal money and borrowing from there mum. Eventually the plumber got it out and I was the only one home so they told me a yo-yo was stuck in there causing it to malfunction. I just nodded pretending I knew what they were saying. I also held a meeting about it.

Writing this makes me want to puke and I still haven’t told them abut it but I was the reason the toilet broke. We eventually left and I went to college and we all forget about it and maybe each other but I don’t. I feel like vomiting shit.

I might have made a girl uncomfortable or even scared.

Me and my friend use to do this very weird thing where if he is driving his bike and I am his passenger I use to make funny sound towards the passenger passing by just for a laugh.

I never physically touched anyone, or abused or threw something towards the pedestrian, just some wierd sound to have a laugh and also never to a woman.

One day I was with my same friend sitting as a passenger on his bike. We saw a person taking out SMTH from there car boot, only the hips where visible. I made the same stupid sound just to alert them and see them watch us weird and laugh but turned out the person was a woman. My friend said "bro that is a woman" I said "fuck" and we drove by.

It's been 3-4 years, it still icks me

I used chatGPT to write my gf a handwritten letter.

It was for her birthday. She asked me to write her a handwritten letter since that’s like her thing; she cherishes stuff like that. I offered to buy her whatever she wanted, but she kept persisting for a letter. So yeah, I just chatGPT-ed that shit. She cried when she read it and said she was gonna keep it for the next generations to read.

I put ketchup packets under a toilet seat as a prank, got an obnoxious coworker fired, and was rewarded for it

When I was 17 or 18, I worked at a cheap low class department store while I was finishing high school. I worked in the little cafe, mostly washing dishes and doing whatever else needed to be done.

There was a guy who worked at the store who was just an obnoxious jerk. He was the sort of person who could make an otherwise tolerable shift miserable just by being around. Nobody liked him, and people generally avoided him whenever possible.

One day, I got an idea for a prank.

I took two packets of ketchup and carefully placed them underneath the toilet seat in the men's bathroom. You couldn't see them just by looking at the seat. The idea was that when someone sat down, their weight would crush the packets and squirt ketchup everywhere.

I thought it was hilarious. It was stupid, childish, and completely unnecessary, which was probably why it appealed to me at that age.

Unfortunately, the person who sat down was the store manager.

I wasn't there to witness it, but word spread pretty quickly. Apparently, the ketchup went all over him and his clothes while he was sitting on the toilet. He was absolutely furious. He vowed to find out who had done it and get to the bottom of the situation.

Now, this was a department store that sold cheap stuff, so it's not as though the man had suffered some permanent catastrophe. He could buy another pair of pants and underwear. But obviously, nobody wants to have ketchup squirted all over them while they're using the bathroom, especially not at work.

The funny thing was that there was absolutely no way to know who had done it. It could have been an employee. It could have been a customer. There were plenty of possibilities.

But somehow, suspicion settled on the obnoxious guy I worked with.

He insisted he hadn't done it. The problem was that everybody thought he was exactly the sort of person who might pull a stunt like that. Even people who realized there was no evidence against him didn't seem particularly interested in defending him.

I certainly wasn't going to volunteer any information.

The manager was so angry that he actually fired the guy right there on the sales floor, in front of everybody.

It was a scene. The guy kept insisting he hadn't done it, but the manager wasn't having any of it. I don't think he was interested in hearing another word from him.

The rest of us just watched.

And here's the really ugly part: nobody seemed particularly upset about it. Even though there was no evidence that the guy had anything to do with the ketchup, people were so fed up with him that they were practically relieved to see him go. Nobody stuck up for him. Nobody said, "Wait a minute, how do we know he did this?"

I certainly didn't.

I stood there and watched a guy get fired for something I'd done, and I didn't say a word.

The atmosphere at work improved after he left. People were friendlier, the shifts were more pleasant, and I had no reason to complain about the outcome. As far as I was concerned, I'd pulled off a stupid prank and somehow gotten rid of a coworker I couldn't stand.

I didn't really think about what it must have been like for him to be fired in front of everybody, insisting he was innocent while nobody believed him. At least, not at the time.

About a week later, I got called into the manager's office.

I was nervous as hell. I had no idea whether somebody had figured it out or whether there was some other problem. The manager told me to have a seat.

He asked if I knew why he'd called me in.

I said no.

He asked whether I'd heard about what happened the previous week with the ketchup packets.

I said yes, trying to sound as though this was an entirely ordinary conversation.

He paused and said, "You work in the cafe, don't you?"

I said yes.

"Well," he said, "I'd like you to personally keep an eye on the ketchup packets. Be on the lookout for anything suspicious, and feel free to report anything that doesn't look above board. You can drop by my office whenever you notice something. Don't hesitate, even if it turns out to be a false alarm. I want to know about it."

I was sitting there wondering whether this was some kind of elaborate trap.

Then he thanked me for doing such a good job and told me I was getting a small raise.

He also said that if I was interested in a promotion after I graduated from high school, he'd be happy to recommend me.

I thanked him and left the office.

I had gone in expecting to get caught. Instead, I'd been promoted, essentially, to chief ketchup investigator.

I never told him what I'd done.

Looking back, the part that bothers me isn't really the prank itself. It was a dumb thing to do, and the manager was understandably furious. What bothers me more is that another guy paid the price for something I did, largely because everyone disliked him so much that nobody was inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

And I walked away with a raise and a manager who thought I was trustworthy.

I don't know whether the guy ever realized that he hadn't been responsible for the incident. I doubt he did.

I do know that I never put ketchup packets under a toilet seat again.

I also never corrected the manager's impression of me as a particularly responsible young employee.

UPDATE: I’m married and falling hard for my coworker who I manage. I just found out she’s dating other people, and I think I’m in deeper than I realized.

• Upvotes

So I posted here recently about developing feelings for a female coworker who works under me. A lot has happened since then, and I figured I’d give an update because honestly, this whole situation is getting out of hand emotionally.
For some background, I’m married and work overnight as a shift manager. She’s older than me, and we work together a couple of nights a week. We started getting close through conversations at work, and somewhere along the way I caught feelings. Serious feelings.
My wife and I haven’t been doing great for the past few months. We’ve been arguing a lot, barely spending time together, and our work schedules are completely opposite. I work overnight, and my wife sometimes works 15-hour shifts. Sometimes it feels like we’re just two people living separate lives. I still love my wife, but I can’t pretend our marriage hasn’t been struggling.
That doesn’t excuse what I’m doing. I know that.
Anyway, in my last update I mentioned bringing my coworker flowers and going to see her. She loved the flowers, and we ended up sitting in my car talking for about an hour. During that conversation, I also opened up to her about being transgender, something I was nervous about telling her. She didn’t seem bothered by it, and some of the things she said made me feel like maybe there was a possibility of something happening between us.
We’ve flirted, but nothing physical has happened. She’s mentioned cooking me dinner at her house, and I’ve even brought up getting a hotel before. She laughed it off without really answering, so I didn’t get a clear yes from her.
Now here’s where things get complicated.
She’s been asking me for money recently. First, I sent her $13 toward our Spotify. Then she asked for $70 for her storage and another $90 to clear her Amazon card. I haven’t sent the $90. Sometimes she’ll go quiet or take forever to respond, and I find myself checking my phone hoping she’s texted me.
Despite that, I still wanted to spend time with her.
Yesterday, I asked if she wanted to go to Topgolf next Sunday. She actually seemed interested. She asked what time, said she wanted to go earlier in the evening, and even picked which location she preferred.
So I went ahead and booked it. Sunday at 5:15 PM for 90 minutes. The reservation is confirmed.
I was genuinely excited because I’ve been wanting to take her somewhere and just enjoy spending time with her outside of work.
But then something happened that really got to me.
She told me she was at the movies. I asked her if she was on a date, and her response was, “Yes I guess.”
I’m not going to lie. That shit hurt.
I was jealous. I was angry. Not at her necessarily, but because I wished I was the person she was spending her evening with. I wanted to be the one taking her to the movies, laughing with her, sitting next to her, and enjoying her company.
I didn’t tell her any of that. I just told her to enjoy her movie and stay safe.
Later that night, I still ended up getting her food delivered. I also went out of my way to bring her a vase for the flowers I’d bought her.
And looking back at everything, I’m starting to realize how much I’m doing just because I want to make her happy.
I’m buying flowers, sending food, offering rides, making reservations, and constantly trying to find reasons to see her.
The crazy part is that she hasn’t actually promised me anything romantically.
She can be sweet and affectionate sometimes. She reacts to some of my messages with hearts, agrees to spend time together, and seems comfortable around me. Other times, she’s distant, gives short responses, or doesn’t text back.
I don’t know if she genuinely likes me or if I’m reading too much into everything because I want her to like me.
And the worst part?
I think about her constantly. She’s even been showing up in my dreams. I find myself wishing I was with her instead of wondering how to fix what’s happening in my marriage.
Someone asked me whether I’d leave my wife if this coworker told me she wanted to be with me.
My immediate thought was that I’d do anything to be with her.
That honestly scares me to admit.
Because I’m married. I made vows to somebody. My wife doesn’t know how deep these feelings have gotten, and if she found out, I know it would absolutely devastate her.
There’s also the workplace situation. I’m her shift manager. I don’t control her scheduling or disciplinary decisions, but I’m still in a position of authority during our shifts. That makes pursuing her inappropriate regardless of whether she says she’s comfortable with it.
I’ve been telling myself that because nothing physical has happened, maybe I haven’t crossed the worst line yet.
But emotionally? I’ve crossed plenty.
I also realize that spending money on someone doesn’t mean they owe me affection, attention, or exclusivity. She has every right to date other people. My jealousy is something I need to deal with, not something she needs to answer for.
I can’t keep blaming my marriage problems or our work schedules for the choices I’m making. If my marriage is failing, I need to address that honestly instead of using another woman as an escape.
And if I’m being completely real, I don’t even know whether I’m in love with this coworker or just obsessed with the way she makes me feel.
I’m still looking forward to Topgolf, but I’m starting to question whether going is even the right decision.
I’m putting so much energy into someone who might not even feel the same way, while my wife is at home completely unaware of what’s happening.
I know I’m being selfish. I know I’m playing with people’s feelings, including my own. And I know being honest about it on Reddit doesn’t magically make it okay.
I need to figure out what I actually want and take responsibility before I hurt somebody even worse.
I guess my question is, has anybody ever gotten this emotionally attached to someone outside their marriage? How did you pull yourself out of it? And at what point do you accept that you’ve already gone too far?
I’m not looking for sympathy or for anyone to tell me what I’m doing is okay. I’m looking for honest perspectives because I can feel myself getting in deeper, and I’m not proud of it.

🥀 A Spectator in Everyone Else’s Love Story - Watching every boy be someone’s priority, Loved in ways I’ve only dreamed of. And here I am, silently wondering, What did I lack to be loved like that? Happy for them, broken for myself, Perhaps I was born to witness love, But never to be chosen by it.

Watching every other guy get loved, cherished, and prioritised by his girl, while realising how unlucky you’ve been in love. 💔

When you see every other boy being loved, cared for, and prioritised by the girl he loves, you can’t help but wonder what went wrong in your own life. You’re genuinely happy for them, but somewhere deep inside, it hurts to realise how unlucky you’ve been in love.

J'ai une envie terrible de me branler pour une inconnue. Tout lui montrer en cam ou jouir sur une de ses photos...

Quelqu'un a déjà vécu ça ?

It was a cloth chair and the size of my palm. I didn’t know what to do because it genuinely caught me by surprise so I just pushed the chair in and ran away. I’ve been crying since. I think other ppl saw because i did have a slight noticeable reaction. I paused for just a moment. At first i thought it was trapped air ..then i realized the chair was cloth not plastic. I feel bad.. someone sat in 😔 .

Thank you Sam Rockwell; I stalked an 18-year-old and I felt alive

Do you even know what limerence feels like?

Not long ago, something popped up in my Instagram feed: a casual, staged recording of a few youths interacting, but this one guy stood out. “His face looks familiar,” I thought. I then recalled watching his content before and thinking he was cute. I felt compelled to dive into his profile.

Almost instinctively, I went through every one of his posts, digging for clues about his personal information. The extent I went to shorten the distance between me and him felt like a ritual, a satisfying one. There was not much to see, but at last I managed to deduce that he had just turned 18 through a birthday story.

Every day since, whenever I woke up, the first thing I checked was his feed for updates. He also live-streams often but I have not managed to catch one; we live in different time zones.

This limerence I had for him grew so strong that it made me think only f--king him would make it end: is the shape of his torso beneath his jersey triggering my fixation, or is it that faint outline of his shaft beneath his shorts? I attempted to sexualise him in fantasy and went as far as making explicit AI images recreating his characteristics.

Looking at the highly convincing AI-generated photos of the distorted and naked versions of him gave me bodily reactions, but the sensation slowly wavered, and I began to experiment with intensified prompts in which all sorts of atrocities were added to the scene.

It is eerie how sometimes I would imagine being him receiving the acts, and sometimes the one giving them. I managed to come a few times.

Soon the sexual urge towards him inevitably declined. His unclothed shape or exposed shaft did not cling to me, and I doubt whether they are the sources of my attachment. I then decided hastily that the innocence of his face is what got to me.

I have no remorse in what I did, but is that supposed to relieve me? Limerence feels like a roller-coaster ride: warmth emerges whenever your desires align with his imagery, and frost takes over when you look away or realise your own pathology is sterile.

I doubt such limerence is sustainable in reality. Affection usually wears down with each contact as fuller details of a person come to light. It is a sweet bubble after all. Perhaps the distance between my screen and his is what created the conditions.

Have you came across Sam Rockwell’s monologue in White Lotus Season 3? If you did, I am sure you would have shrugged it off, some mocked it instead. Reading it myself impacted me strangely: an overwhelming resonance gave me goosebumps for an hour straight.

Rockwell mentioned that affection swings between those similar to oneself and those unlike oneself. For my case, I think it is both. There is a unique quality in him that I can’t name: he is almost exemplary of my ideal form, and that implies distance and closeness. No other stranger online had managed to sustain such a level of influence on me, but I must admit other smaller forms of fixation did occur, though they were mostly of females.

People somehow have this ingrained code of conduct, and their morals integrated in their vague senses of selves. Instead of f--king my way through dissolution like Rockwell's character did, it would appear I am too timid for it, so I chose to dump it on you f--kers instead.

One day I will wake up and discover my urge for him has passed, and perhaps I will find another target to attach to, but somehow I hope that day won't come.
